I'm from Japan and before I moved here to the states, every time I got a chance (& money), I came here to see my boyfriend (he is my husband now :)). Now I live here and everytime I get a chance, I go back to Japan to visit my family & friends. I've never been to any other countries. I have a 20 month old girl and she is the only grandchild my parents have. They miss her so much... :confused1: So our next trip destination will be Japan again. Someday I'd love to visit Spain or somewhere but I don't think it's gonna happen at least 10 years later or so. Hopefully somewhere a little more closer, like Mexico or Canada soon.:thumbsup:

Queenofnines - I would love to visit Liechtenstein! How did you like it? I would also love to visit Bavaria, Germany - was that one of the places in Germany you went to?

Post by: shernajwine on April 06, 2011, 01:24:52 pm: I'm so jealous of you guys! I have only ever been to England and it was when I was 13. It wasn't even that pleasant of an experience either. We were visiting my fathers relatives and they hate my mother because she is American. So we spent a month there watching my mother get torn apart verbally everyday by them and also have to force ourselves to eat stuff like goat tongue and other weird things. It's an insult to them if you don't eat what they cook and my dad was very clear that we were to eat every morsel on our plate and smile about it.

I LONG to go to Ireland though. Ireland enchants me!

Post by: cubarican210 on April 06, 2011, 02:30:11 pm: I've been to Canada and the Bahamas. That's about as foreign as I've gone. I guess I could say Puerto Rico too but it's a commonwealth of the U.S. so that doesn't count. I love my island though.

Post by: genfo12 on April 09, 2011, 07:16:27 pm: The only only country I've ever visited besides U.S. is Mexico. I go there like very summer since my grandparents live there and I like to visit them. But soon I'm hoping to go somewhere else beyond that like France or Italy.

When my son was stationed in Germany, I went to see him there when he was on a two-week leave from his first tour of duty in Iraq.

We went on a whirlwind tour through southern Germany, Austria, Italy, and Switzerland.
Most of the trip was spent driving as I was only there one week.

I would love to go back and spend a week in one location to explore that one area.

Last October I drove my sister-in-law to central Mexico where she has decided to retire. This was another road trip so again, I would like to take a trip back just to explore rather than just get from point A to point B.
