What impact if any will the United States Government Shutdown have on you?

My Mom is worried about her social security check.
How do they expect the elderly to live with out ss?

Very little if not at all. I make it a point to not rely on the government for anything. I plan on loosing all of my social security when I retire and only use Government services when I don't have a choice. Even then I try my hardest to only use local and constitutional services in my area (like the post office, or police). I would rather die than work for the government or rely on welfare. I consider myself lucky compared to those that already rely on social security while they where paying for it back when the government was much more stable.

It will have a horrific effect on me. I live on SSI. My son is in the Navy. I do not know how i will survive and how the military is supposed to live with out pay. When is this supposed to maybe happen?

I think it would be a disaster. I do not know how I would survive. Not paying people in the military would be a crime. What are people supposed to do. Does the government care at all about people?

IT WOULD PUT ME IN THE WORST POSITION EVER BECAUSE THAT WILL PUT ME OUT OF WORK AND I HAVE TO PROVIDE FOR MY CHILDREN.

Thank goodness they have avoided a shut down so far.
They need to put the people first and not their personal agendas.

i not rely on the government for anything because all they are trying to do is screw the poor and make the rich richer i mean come on look at the gas prices they are rediculous

...or Medicare?  How are women supposed to get routine health exams when they are uninsured and Planned Parenthood is their only choice for a pap smear or mammogram?

Its time for the government to start looking out for common citizens instead of interest groups, IMO. 

A government shutdown will effect more people than people think.
