Title: how do you feel about moving
Post by: aggie49 on April 17, 2011, 01:53:07 pm: i was just told by my landlord that she is selling the house and land so we have to move yuck i hate it i got alot of stuff :wave: :heart: :star:

Then, we both went nuts at the exact same moment and quit our jobs and move clear across the country to a small rural town. I never knew how much stuff we had packed away in that little tiny 800 sg ft house. It expanded like foam rubber and now completely fill a 2000 sf house with large shop. I told my husband if things don't work out and we have to move again, I am calling the auctioneer and what does sell we burn. It has taken us almost three years to burn up the boxes!

Post by: mommagoes on April 17, 2011, 04:09:45 pm: I L :heart:VE MOVING!!! i have been looking for a new house for at least 9 months and was so happy last monday when our agent called and said our application was approved for a house so we're moving in 2 weeks! i am so excited! my husband brought me home a huge selection of boxes and i've been packing a box or 2 a day, stuff like wall decor, toys and games that the kids do not play with all the time, and all the top-shelf dishes/special occasion kitchen stuff. i am also doing a major purge, donating clothes, toys and kitchen stuff that is still in good condition but that we just don't use or need anymore. its so awesome because we have 2 weeks til the move in date and i already have half of our stuff packed. so now i can relax and focus on shopping for new stuff for the new house!

Post by: mlhnceh on April 17, 2011, 04:24:13 pm: My husband is in the army, so we move alot. I hate it!!! We have 3 kids and lots of stuff. I purge stuff at least 2 times a year, and we still have too much. My mother in law is a shopaholic, so she is all the time buying stuff for the kids.

Post by: janell07 on April 17, 2011, 04:47:53 pm: Moving is such a hassle. The only good thing is that it makes you go through and see what you really need and use. When you have kids and the grandparents don't live close there are all they toys they send.

Post by: genfo12 on April 17, 2011, 05:42:04 pm: I was always used to moving since we always moved to nearby neighborhoods. It never affected me, but now that we moved from San Francisco to San Diego not too long ago, it made a huge impact in my life but fortunately it's great over here and I'm getting used to it.

Post by: bobbijofleming on April 18, 2011, 06:48:12 pm: I feel ya! Moving is very stressful. I've moved a lot. Everytime I moved I always had to down size all my stuff because I had a lot of stuff. After you move and get comfortable somewhere it'll be ok though.
