Just wondering where do everyone get their grocery.
As for me, I shop at walmart, price chopper, aldi, tops, whichever has better deal.
Recently, I also start using coupon and have noticed I can actually save some money!!! :thumbsup:

I love using coupon's just today I went and did my shopping before the coupon's the totel was over $350 after my coupons total was under $200.I shop at kroger.

I like to use coupons especially when i can stack a manufacturers coupon with a store one. :thumbsup: I like to shop at Walmart, Winn Dixie for their bogo items and Save Rite which is a relative of Winn Dixie and sometimes their prices are lower.

We were talking about this over at the Extreme Couponing thread. I've just started and I'm pretty happy with the results. I've been reading Coupon Mom and following the shopping lists there that combine coupons with the weekly specials. I'm only buying things that I use anyway, but instead of buying the store brands, I'm using the brand names as long as it's cheaper with the coupon or special.

I shop at walmart and kroger. I always use coupons for things that I can get coupons for. Kroger is good about giving coupons at the register for next time.

I shop for my groceries mainly at Weis. I use coupons all the time! I actually took a $79 Target bill down to $29 thursday and then last night my grocery bill went from $147 to $88 which really isn't that great but still I saved a lot! I'm a currently trying to teach my mom how to shop with coupons too.

I usually get my grocery from Walmart and Winco. Winco usually offer cheaper prices for their food. I can also shop at Walmart since there is a new one in my town and its less than 3 miles from my apartment.

I don't have a superWalmart near me, but I do have a superTarget and go there about once a month. I use a lot of coupons and match up their coupons with manufacturing coupons and then use my 4% off Red Target card to get more savings. I shop at our top local chain and save lots with coupons.

I print my coupons from Coupon Mom and from Swagbucks they give you 10 swagbucks for every coupon redeemed. :star:

I just saw that show this week and I was fascinated by it. Those people are amazing. I don't know that I could ever get into it to that extent, but if I could do a fraction of what they do it could save a ton. I especially liked the lady who helps food banks and others.

I sually shop Walmart by the month so its a big bill until my coupons are applied. I also shop alot at Walgreens lots of good deals if you watch ads and if you have an AARP card let them swip it before they start ringing up your stuff and you will get coupons printed out for next time your in to use. We use a company called schwans that delivers to our door for our meats and some other stuff they have lots to buy if you want it. We also use Dollar General and Dollar Tree. I print coupons from couponmom and from couponbug and grocerycouponnetwork (it sends to you email) I got from this site not to long ago I think from one of the offers that had offers.

I shop for groceries at Hannaford and Stop N shop. I always use coupons at least 3-4 coupons every trip!!! :wave:

I do all of my grocery shopping at a Wal Mart Super Store! I can buy everything in one place! food,clothes or a tv ;D

I usually go to walmart, target, or stater brothers... sometimes Fresh n Easy or Costco if I need to stock up. I always have my coupons ready :)

I shop at the 99 cents stores because everything in there is nice and cheap and affordable ;)

I mostly shop at Wal-mart, Sam's Club, and Smiths. I use coupons when I remember that I have them but really need to get into the habit of using them again. :) I used to save quite a bit and was able to stock up of basic necessities for a really good price. It might be a little easier if I wasn't on the laptop all the time and could actually print out the coupons that are emailed to me. :-[

I did pretty good yesterday at Walgreens. I did two separate transactions so I could get the Register Rewards from one to roll over to the other
Transaction 1: 12.95 Total, 8.19 Coupons
Transaction 2: 41.26 Total, 13.28 Coupons plus 5.29 in store specials, total savings 18.57
Overall total 54.21
Overall savings 26.74
Total spent: 27.47
I'm going to try Rite Aid today because they have a lot of pet items on special this week, and see if the cashiers there will let me do the two transactions to roll one register reward over to the next purchase

I do this too :) Inbox Dollars allegedly gives $0.10 for each coupon redeemed. So far I haven't seen it show up in either of my account balances, but I'll keep trying. Memolink does points for coupons too but their cashout is just so high

I go to albertson i think their preferred deal are so great that most of the time you dont have to use coupons to save a lot of money
but if you do have coupons well you might almost well as be shopping for free i usually go shopping once a week and save half
of my money to go play just takes a little browsing and planning before impulse

I shop at Wal-Mart and always use coupons, I'm not EXTREME but save $10+ on average. I get my coupons from inbox dollars mostly, that way I can earn money too! :wave:

As I mentioned in a different coupon thread, you can actually do pretty well from other GPT sites in combinations with coupons: earn money from coupons you get from that site, earn money from purchasing gift cards from Walmart through that site, and earn money for using the site's credit card in making your gift card purchase! And that's just from the GPT site... Tack on the savings from the actual coupons and in-store specials.
I may have to check out Coupon Mom and those other sites you've mentioned; I really need to start doing a better job of using coupons to save money.

I'm still learning and it's still super confusing for me, but in addition to Deal Seeking Mom and Coupon Mom I really like the blogs where people lay out the different scenarios and transactions. A few are CleverlySimple (REALLY EASY), 1FaithfulSteward, and KingdomFirstMom. Because they're blogs I don't think I can post their links here, but you can google their names to find their weekly matchups.

Safeways just 4 you is great. U add coupons 2 your safeway card online. I usually save @ least 50% on my shopping trips. U also get free items... A free dozen eggs just 4 signing up. I love it!

I do shop for groceries and i love to oedr from shwans as well. and coupons are very good when your trying to save a buck which i beleive is what everybody is doing in this hard times.

I am all about coupons! My town only has a WalMart, Kroger, and Save-a-Lot. We also only shop on the weekends so that rules out WalMart...I'm not fighting those crowds. So I load coupons to my kroger card and I clip them. I have a coupon storage case in my purse, and I'm OCD about organization.

I use coupons whenever, wherever I can. I shop at Kroger for the majority of my groceries. They double coupons up to $0.50. Coupons can be downloaded to your Kroger Customer Card from their site as well as several sites out there. I take coupons I don't use to church for others to use if they can. Coupons used from SmartChoice gives me credit on my account there, also, whether I use them or someone else. I try to coordinate sale items and my coupons and stock up on non-perishable items when I can get them cheap. Usually coupons over $0.50 I use at Wal-Mart unless the item is on sale at Kroger.

I ususally do my grocery shopping at Vons because it is closest to my house. I think that they offer some pretty nice sale prices. I also somtimes go to WinCo, which seems to have the lowest prices overall.

I actually never heard of this one, just signed up. I shop there occasionally but may start to go there more. There are only a few things we have to get at walmart and of course anything to get away from the crowds! Thanks linabunnie :wave:

WOW.... I am so curious. What did you get?! I can't never lower my groceries that much. I don't know if that's because I normally buy fresh food and cook them and hardly buy canned food?!

I shop at Safeway and Save Mart for my perishables and Wal Mart and the dollar store for my dry goods, and some canned goods. I buy a lot of my cleaning stuff at the dollar store. Why pay double or triple for the same things?

I have been using coupons now for almost a year. I have a spare bedroom in my house with shelves and shelves off groceries and soaps/detergents/ paper towels. Two weeks ago I went to the grocery store my total was $176 after my coupons my total was $24.53! I will never pay full price for an item. There is no need to! Yes it is a lot of work! I enjoy it though ad it is definetly worth it!!!
I wont have to buy deodorant or toothpaste for at least 3 years if not more! I have 38 rolls of paper towels. I could go on and on.
I can't even begin to describe what it has done for my family!

After I start using coupon. I recognized no need to buy toothpaste and floss cuz you can actually get them for free.
Deodorants, body wash, and personal items such as pads or pantyliners can actually be very low price.
Supplements only get them when they are buy 1 get 1 free.
As for food, buy them when they are on sale and put all in freezer which can keep the food a little bit longer.
During this hard time, I guess just have to do what we can do to go through and save as much money as we can.

We've got Kroger nearby, but they only double coupons $.50 and under. It's a shame because this is a very economically depressed area, and people could really benefit from doubling coupons. I remember reading on one of the couponing blogs someone saying it seems like the areas that could use doubling the most are the areas that don't double.

I buy my produce from a produce stand and my meat from the local butcher shop. The rest of groceries from my local supermarket which doubles the coupons

So for the people who admit to being extreme couponers, I must ask, do you actually pay for the 10-15 newspapers to get the ads, do you get them from your family members, are you someone that goes to the self serve stand put in your coins and take all the papers (STEALING!)? :wave:

We do the majority of our shopping at Super Walmart. We use coupons and we also price match other stores sales. On occasion we shop at Kroger and Albertsons if they are having a buy one get one free type of sale because Walmart won't price match those.

I went to a coupon work shop last night and learned alot. I am going to start using coupons and see what I can do. It is amasing how much money can be saved when using coupons. I have never used them before. I am excited about this. Came home and printed a lot of coupons off internet. I am sure I won't need them all but there were some I could use. I had a coupon for a free bottle of a type of aspirin that I had printed off. The clerk I went to did not know me and called over a couple of manager types. One of them knew me and knew I had shopped at their store for years and would never try to pass a fake coupon. Anyway, it turns out that the coupon had some lines on the back of it. That told them I had not photocopied it and it was ligit. I learned something new.

For those that double their coupons can you explain it to me. Say the store doubles up to a dollar. If you have a 75 cent coupon do you get 75 cents more or do you get 25 cents to make it a dollar? Thanks for the help! :wave:

Unfortunatly, my area doesn't have much to choose from and the one grocery store that I am faithful to doesn't accept coupons printed from the net. I don't do walmart much for many reasons. One being they are to far out of my way. I could see coupons working out if I lived in a bigger place where there is more compotition between stores. A few sites that I use pay you to print and redeem coupons, wow the money I could save, if the stores would accept printed coupons. Very happy that it is working for you.

I shop at King Soopers, Safeway, Whole Foods or Sunflower Market for groceries. I don't use coupons for grocery shopping. I always look for a coupon when I shop online for other stuff though.

I usually shop at Wal-Mart but recently started at Winn-Dixie also since they have the fule perks. every penny we save on gas right now is a big help and the fuel perks really does help I must say.

I had a horrible experience at Walgreens yesterday with a super rude cashier who was trying to tell me that. I had the coupon policy in my binder and asked him to show me where on the policy it said that. He said he was told that by the store manager.
There was a time when I would have said, "Oh, OK", but with money so tight I was really happy I stood my ground. I asked him to call the manager over. He was really irritated and said there was a long line, but I told him I had waited just as long as every one else. When the manager came over I asked her to show me where in the coupon policy it said they wouldn't take printed coupons -- from WALGREENS.COM if you can imagine!
She just rung it up giving me a dirty look. Sorry, but those coupons yesterday saved me 60%, I wasn't going to back down.

Walgreens has a coupon on their Facebook page for $5.00 off Nature Made Calcium, which makes it free

I shop at Food Lion, Bi-Lo, and Ingles...and yest I love to use coupons. Bi-lo always doubles your coupons to $1.00 and they also have a discount card for gas. For every $25 you spend in groceries you get .05 cents off in gas and certain BP gas stations.

I shop at Winn-Dixie and Food World only for things that are on sale. I use coupons only for products that I usually buy. However, I do most of my shopping at Grocery Outlet, which is a lot cheaper than anywhere else, but their stock varies. They have some things that nobody else has. At least I don't have to bag my own groceries there!

I have been a fan of Publix for 40 years. They are clean. consistent and have great customer service. I am a big coupon person. :)

I go to Ralph's alot because its right next to my house and its open 24/7, and I have a lot of late nights and don't keep much in my refrigerator, When im hungry I go to ralphs and get what I want

I pretty much do most of my shoppoing at walmart.
I use some coupons, but mostly come out better just
buying the great value brand generic. I hate the
atmosphere, but like the prices and one stop shopping
and convenient location.

I SHOP AT HEB AND I LOVE TO USE COUPONS. HEB HAS VERY GOOD SELECTIONS ON ALMOST EVERYTHING AND AT REASONABLE PRICES BUT I STILL USE THOSE COUPONS TO SAVE.

Here's an AWESOME matchup -- If you have a Kroger near you, log into your Swagbucks, Inbox Dollars and/or Send Earnings account to print off coupons for the Boulder Canyon potato chips. Some people are getting $1/off 2 or $1/off 1 -- those chips are part of the Mega 10 Event, so you can get the chips for either $0.50 or for free, depending on what coupon you get. Plus, you get points or cash back for using the coupon

I just started to use coupons this last week. I went to a coupon work shop a couple of weeks ago and learned alot. I use coupons and saved abou $40 my first try. Next time I will wait till things are on sale and then use my coupons. Alot of people use coupons and it helps in this day and age.

I usually shop at Winco, Walmart, Grocery Outlet, Safeway (when there are good deals).
I sometimes use coupons but most coupons I find are for products I don't buy anyway or I buy the generic that is cheaper anyway.

I shop where I can get the best deals for the week or month. I purchase my meat once a month. Then I look at the filers each week to see which veggie or fruits. I use coupon when ever I can. I like to stack them if at all possible. I only use the coupons for items that we would normally use. Unless there is something new that someone in the family would like to try then I will purchase it with the coupons. My son says if it is not on sale and if it doesn't have a coupon we dont have it. I will start shopping at the farmers markets before to soon so then I will change how I shop for the summer and fall. I shop by the sales fliers. Some of the stores I use are Walmart, Stop and Shop, Big Y, ShopRite and Wallgreens

I shop at Target or Walmart for frozen foods and granola bars, things like that. They're cheaper than the grocery stores. If not I check which stores have what I need on sale and use coupons if I have them, always looking for coupons!

I love to shop at walgreens as they always have really good deals going on, but i really not enjoy my time there. Some of the cashiers are pretty rude and not nice. Always gave me some look cuz i use coupons, but when they wouldn't accept my coupon, I would politly ask why and asked if i could talk to the manager. Most of the times, it would be fine, but they wouldn't let me use 2 coupons when it's BOGO!! :(

I love to shop in meijer as they double my coupons up to 99cents,and i have a walmart near by to our home who doesnot double coupons but sometimes they put like rollback offers worth to spend less than the regular price

I shop at any local supermarket that is in reasonable driving distance--and most are. I take advantage of BOGO , combine coupons with store offers for things I use. Once in awhile will try something new that interest me, with a coupon. Also shop at BJ's for larger size household items; I use the coupons they send often and combine with my own coupons. I am sure over the years I have save hundreds of $$. I am glad to see my daughter has inherited my saving gene and saves too--with 3 young boys who will only consume more as they grow older, this is a must.

I just signed up for Couponmom.
I normally shop at walmart. My boyfriend works there so not only do we save when we use Coupons but he gets a discount too.

Kankula what I've started doing is planning my entire week's shopping around only items that are in the sales circular, and buying multiples of shelf-stable things when they're on sale, so that my overall groceries are cheaper because I'm not buying things like toothpaste, paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent, coffee, ketchup etc.
Also it depends on if your region doubles... a lot of Giant Eagle's don't double. And I noticed this downer on their coupon policy page:
No “FREE” or “Buy One Get One Free” coupons will be accepted.
Wow, really, Giant Eagle? I know those coupons are rare, but they're really helpful to stretch savings. That's kind of a bummer. :(

I wish there was a Walmart here in Brooklyn. I go there when I visit P.A. I do my shopping at Shoprite and Waldbaums. I do use coupons all the time.

I do my shopping based on current circular provided by nearby stores - Food4less - which is owned by Kroger, Ultra Food, Jewel, Dominicks, Target or Wal-mart. Since, I rarely purchase anything within a box, I rarely use coupons. Love when I can find coupons for frozen veggies and personal items.

King Soopers! I don't look for coupons, but if I come across one I def use it.
