I was diagnosed in 2005. Does anybody else have MS or a similar disease?

no i dont have it.but i thought it was a possibility that i could of had it. 6 months ago i got paralysis at work and displayed quite a few symptoms of ms. one of the symptoms was seeing the color red or something like it,which i did not have. that was a relief. we ruled out ms and thought it could have been a small stroke,took a while to figure out that it wasnt either. ms sounds scary from everything i read. good luck to u

I was diagnosed with MS in December, 2004. However, I've never slipped into remission since. I'm wondering if I was mis-diagnosed.

I was diagnosed with relapsing/remitting MS. I had a relapse this year after my second son was born. It wasn't disabling thank Gods, just a bad tingle in my right arm that comes and goes as it pleases. >:(
BTW squirrelgirl44 are you on any treatments? I'm currently on Copaxone but I think I'm going to change to Rebif. I think you mean a relapse. I went a long time before I had my first one.

I have had Cerebral Palsy since birth; I'm in my 50's.
It's slight and only affects my right arm and leg.
I am very blessed.

My mother has MS. It is terrible. She was diagnosed last year and it has processed and worsen so much that she had to quit her job, like they say "on purpose" so that she could get disability. She worked at the hospital for over 10 years and loved that job. It breaks my heart seeing my mom at home and not be able to do anything. Her eyes have gotten really bad too where her pupils will shake randomly from side to side. It is quite scary to see that. I help her in anyway that I can. I thank God everyday that she is still around and can at least still hug me. To make the matter worse, she is deaf and I cannot talk to her no longer. I have to write everything down what I say or want to say to her. It's like she is there, but not there. It is terrible. I feel like I really don't have a mom some days. :crybaby2:

I have been diagnosed with "pre-MS" symptoms. I developed optic neuritis in my left in June 2007 (I'm 50 yrs. old now). While trying to figure what was going on with my vision problem, an aneurysm was found behind my right eye. My optic neuritis was a blessing ~ my aneurysm probably wouldn't have been found until it had ruptured otherwise. I was told there would have been less than 5% of living if it ruptured. I have three prominet "spots" and with a possibility of two more faint ones. My neurologist wants me to start on medication for MS, but since I just lost my job & insurance, I don't see how that will be possible. I have tremors when I get hot or tired. Treatment is very expensive. We have a close friend who is in the advanced stages of MS and my brother-in-law's mother died from MS complications. I have only done a little research on it. I really don't want to face it yet..... My prayers go out for all who are affected by this illness.
