I used to have a small garden, but don't have a green thumb. Tomatoes and green peppers grew well. Now I don't have room for one. I have had flowers in pots or on my deck in the summer and they all die when we are gone for two weeks in July. I have an automatic sprinkler system and have even put the pots on the lawn where they would get water, but they still die. I would love to have a few tomato plants on my deck.

So far my dogs have stepped on most everything that came up and the radishes never came up either time I planted them. Never had that problem with radishes before.

I would love to have a garden for my daughter to have fun planting the seeds and watching them grow into food, but we don't have room for a garden. Our dogs take up all of our yard. LOL

I'm going to grow tomatoes and lettuce at least using pots on my patio as I have no room for a traditional garden.

We have a decent sized, fenced in garden so the dogs can't get in there and trample, urinate, dig, etc. We typically grow tomatoes, cucumbers, green beans, wax beans, sweet peas, peppers, eggplant, zucchini, yellow squash, radishes, and carrots. As this weather has started to slowly get nicer, it has us really itching to start it. We really need to till it here soon, as there are a bunch of leaves and organic material which was thrown in it all winter sitting on top.

I rent but the land lord has let me plant flowers in the flower bed in front of the house. And I have a planter with fresh herbs sitting on the porch. Not much of a garden but I try. When we buy a house I will have a big garden.

We are still debating whether to put in a garden or not. It is alot of work and we are so busy. I love fresh veggies from the garden though so I get to the Farmers Market at least once a week.

My mom used to plant food items but now she only really plants flowers. I used to help her but there is no green thumb here, not even a brown one I think mine is black. LOL
When I have my own house (hopefully within the next year to 18 months) I want to plant some fruit trees and possibly some squash, carrots, lettuce etc. It would give my son and me something to do outside and it would cut down on the grocery bill. :)

My grandma is the best gardener I know and I've always wanted to have one, but it just seems to take so much time!

We discussed putting a garden in on the side of our house this year and are going to explore how much sunshine this area gets. We would love to have some fresh herbs, tomatoes, peppers and lettuce. We have had a little bit of luck growing flowers and I have given my wife the responsibility of watering the hard to kill varieties like geraniums and marigolds.

We have several gardens going on our acre. The soil is not consistent so we are trying different vegetables in different parts of the acre. So far we have quite a few tomatoes and a couple of watermelons plus some lettuce. :)

I was living with a group of residents.
There was one lady who loved gardening.
She lead the group and we helped plant flowers.
It was fun.
It's nice to do it with others; takes the hardship out of it and everyone has their particular talent and task.

I would love to grow a garden when I'm older. Or maybe when my son is old enough... that would be so fun.

It seems like tomatoes are one of the easiest to grow. Green beans never seem to stop growing - they keep on and on.

Kinda have a couple right now. One in my front lawn and one in the back. Mostly just have plants throughout both lawns that need a bit of looking after. Planted a fruit tree about 1 1/2 years ago. Have a few rose bushes, small trees, and various other plants. Possibly will be planting more things this year, some flowers or something of the like, but not sure yet. Weather's been crazy.

We have a small garden out front, and now that the winter is finally over we are out trying to get it ready!

We have a garden and just planted tomatoes, bell peppers and basil today.
We already planted spinach and mizuna last month and are planning on planting Japanese eggplant (my favorite veggie!), Japanese cucumber, soybean (edamame) and more. I LOOOOVE having a garden

I tried to have a garden, but the location was too close to the bushes. Between the rabbits and too much shade, I had terrible luck getting any produce.
I find it easier now to visit the Farmers Market for fresh produce; although I do plant one cherry tomato plant in a pot on the patio.

I have a shaded garden down by the sidewalk, and usually plant impatiens.
