:angry7: :'(I LIVE IN CLARKSDALE, MISSISSIPPI., I went all over town wasted up a lot of gas. I went to at least 5 banks. My check had citzen or CBS on it, so i went there. They told me i cnd Cash it because that bank or branch was not n town. Went 2 first national , coveant bank, same thing.Went to the the main branch, sorry that bank is not n our bank.I was really angry.
But luck on my last stop home I stop at walmart, they cashed even no they charge 3$. what a bad day

A lot of banks are that way now thanks to all the :bs: scam that has been going on with cashing forgein/ out of state checks. Try opening your own checking account, or thats not an option, get the UpSide visa- free, no fees, no credit check prepay and you get your money fast-I got mine this morning using direct deposit and didn't cost me a dime. Plus you can use for bill pay, online ordering, anywhere Visa is accepted. It's a .com site or google it.. :wave:

Over the last 10 years most banks have stopped cashing checks for people that do not bank with them. Mostly due to frauds and the fact if the check bounces they can load up charges, fees and penilties to banking customers where they can't so any Joe Blow off the street cashing a check. If you have Paypal you can always have the payment deposited to your paypal account and get a paypal debit card. Yeah paypal will charge you $1 for usieng it at an ATM but better then what you had to do today.

right most banks won't cash a check for you unless you have a account to depo it in. or have enough to cover it in yoru account. to fix this... A get paypal. B get a bank account C get a prepaid visa card like i did... netspend.com 9.99 for the card but it's linked to a savings account. same as a reg bank debit. can have direct depo on it. so you can link it to a paypal account or direct depo or payroll checks. or D check cashing stores. yes they have fees but they will cash them.. cheapest are walmart n giant eagle. both 3.00 fees.
