i didn't follow much of the trial but seems highly unlikely that she didn't know or wasn't  involved somehow

With the bits and pieces that I hear/see she seems guilty to me

Sometimes juries are very wrong.  I don't know what they wanted but she is obviously guilty, guilty, guilty.  I have heard that nowadays juries expect too much from having watched CSI and other shows.  OJ seems to be happy so I guess Casey will be also.

I believe she is guilty, the the law of the land says that you have to be proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt. There was no hard evidence showing her guilt so no matter what the jurors believed in their heart the law stated that they had to let her off. With regard to the reasonable doubt, they don't know when the girl was killed, how she was killed nor did anyone see her get killed. They seem like a strange family with many problems even before the death of this little girl.

This. The prosecution didn't have a confession, fingerprints, the cause of death or any witnesses to the baby's death/murder. Those are usually the types of things that can overcome jury doubts, according to someone on a tv show I watched earlier. They didn't have any of those things, so they couldn't get the convictions they were seeking.

Isn't it possible that the baby died in an accident (the words "neck breaking" were searched), then the grandfather and Casey decided to make it look like a kidnapping/murder? But the police unfortunately weren't tricked by the ploy, and charged Casey. They should have just called the police and reported the accident.

I don't know what happened, but Casey's tears and relief looked like those of an innocent person when the verdict was read. I don't think she killed her daughter.

I believe she should have been found guilty, just awful! Tonight at 9pm a lot of people across the US are turning on their porch lights at 9pm to support Caylee. Our justice system is just awful.

Our justice system is just awful.

Is it? What if you were charged with killing your child, but were innocent? If the prosecution released jail phone conversations to the media (essentially allowing you to be tried in the court of public opinion) but never provided the jury with physical evidence that you had anything to do with the death, should you be convicted? The system protects you from this scenario.

I think she should have gotten a lesser included charge, there just wasn't the evidence needed for the death penalty.

Based on the little information I have heard there seems like there should have been additional charges but no the death penalty.
However, I think the major fault lies with the judge for allowing all the media attention in the court room including the internet access.
Not sure this would have changed the outcome but to me it would have been easier and probably fairer for the victims family members

my personal opinion is she should be tortured. she's guilty just like O.J. they both killed and got away with It. That's the justice system for ya.

O.J. is in jail because he thought the rules didn't apply to him.  I expect that karma will catch up to the perpetrator in Caylee's death also.
