I think justice was NOT served in the not guilty verdict, I just think that if she did not kill her daughter then she had a hand of knowledge in it.
What do you think and why?
-
All I can say is I am totally shocked. It really worries me that there are 12 people who could see the facts in such a distorted way. I think juries today think that "beyond a reasonable doubt" means that the crime has to be on video tape. It doesn't mean that 100% guaranteed. It is a "reasonable doubt".
If you go to bed and there is no snow on the ground and you wake up and there is snow on the ground can you say without a doubt that it snowed overnight? I would say yes. But unfortunately there are some people in the world that would say, well......I supposed someone could have brought it in with trucks and spread it all around.
I am listening to them talk to an alternate juror right now and he just sounds if there was not a video tape of the murder for him to watch, he would have never been convince

I am irate and flabbergasted that she was found innocent. :angry7: She was convicted of lying to authorities and what innocent person would lie to the cops when their daughter is missing?! All I can say is that she better change her name or the rest of her life will be a living hell.
-
im so sick from the result NOT guilty where is justice from this case??
-
I honestly don't really know what to think. I found it strange that she never really showed any emotion throughout most of the trial. I think her mother lied on the stand when she was saying it was her who accidentally searched for chloroform and she meant to type chlorophyll.
-
i am very shocked with the verdict. others have been convicted with less against them and she gets off???? what is going on with the justice system.
-
I honestly did not waste my time following this case too closely, but I get the impression that most people thought she was guilty....perhaps the prosecution was too aggressive in pursuing the top offense instead of something lower...maybe then it would be "less reasonable doubt"....who knows....a lot of people I know who are saying it's the OJ case of this century (or whatever).....interesting...regardless, she's spent three years of her life that she can't be back sitting in a trial and almost losing her life...I'm sure she has a lot to think about and undoubtedly her life will never be the same...too bad the case probably cost taxpayer's a ton of money-at least the jury didn't take forever.....i admit, I would not want to be in their shoes though....

When my daughter came in to inform me that she was not found guilty , I was really shocked. :o Whats going on with our justice system. :dontknow:

There are a LOT more important things to be upset about.

This is just another repeat of the OJ Simpson trial. Another miscarriage of justice. A child is dead....a child that could have found a cure for cancer, a cure for aids, or life on another planet. But because of the LOUSY justice system we have in America, that child will never have a chance at achieving those goals. Almost every other country has the "guily until proven innocent" justice system, but here in America its "innocent until proven guilty". If it were the other way around, she would be facing the death penalty, because there is no innocence in her case. I love this country, and I am proud to be an American, but our justice system is so old, from the beginnings of this country as an independent entity. I think our legal system needs to catch up with the times. People are getting wiser and wiser as how to cover up their crimes. Therefore, our legal system should get wiser and take more action to ensure that in a case like this, where physical evidence is hard to come by (because of the witts of the criminal) justice is still served. I can go on forever about this, but for the benefit of all those reading, I will end it with this one request: Say a prayer for Caylee Anthony, that she is in God's hands and with the Angels and no longer in the dangerous hands of her mother. Thank you.

yuck from the beginning! So many lies and distorted facts made it impossible for this case to be fairly tried in court. It really is the OJ case again.

Amen to this.. yesterday after not guilty on this case it was just so sad having the smile from that murder just make me sick now, she can party like hill while is daughter is crying out for JUSTICE
-
what is wrong with the system how could the find her not guilty.
-
I think she got away with murder. But the up side is the world has changed while she was in jail. She wont find a job, she alienated her family and friends. Yep, she wont have much of a life and she has no where to live.

A two year old was murdered. Who cares???
-
I think we are blessed to have the judicial system that we do. However, some things do not make any sense and we will never understand them. I am saddened by the verdict in this trial.

Someone who murdered their child is walking around free. I care.

I agree. That statement from jaymz462 makes me wonder what THEY have gotten away with and how they live their life - probably not too honestly, eh? :(
-
if you tell enough lies sometimes people believe them

I have no sympathy for Casey Anthony but I'm convinced that the justice system worked as it should. The prosecution over-charged the case and then threw everything they could find in to the trial regardless of whether it was valid. Just because you have the power of the state behind you, you can't get away with junk science and assumptions nor can you be so arrogant as to giggle and make faces during summation. It was a terrible prosecution and that's the saddest part that the people who were charged with finding justice were so inept and failed so miserably.
I'm of the opinion that justice usually finds a way to prevail and it will here too.
-
I never really paid any attention to the whole Casey Anthony trial. I just think she seems to be guilty because she likes to party as if nothing ever happened to her daughter. She seems to continue to live life as if she never had a daughter. Maybe, she is guilty but, I can always be wrong.
-
I think she was guilty now what about that poor little girl
-
It breaks my heart. The highlight of my day is getting home and cuddling my daughter. Casey Anthony apparently didn't know what joy, and I feel pity for her because of that. The more I learn about the case, the more I believe that Casey killed her daughter. Last night when I got home from work, all I wanted to do was hold my child and cry. It is beyond me that there are people in the world who are that heartless. If something were to happen to my child, I wouldn't care what happened to me. This subject makes me an emotional wreck and I'm speaking in jumbled sentences, and I hope some of what I'm saying makes sense.
-
The burden of proof was on the State and they obviously did the better job. The jurors were just doing their job and following the law. Everyone knows she did it. It's sad. And innocent people are convicted every day.
-
I know if she do not have to answer here for what she did to her daughter, she will later.
-
I am pretty disturbed by the verdict..I know she had something to do with that babies murder and its sad she is getting off scott free..I live in Florida and sorry but our justice system here is really flawed so many kids end up murdered due to lack of people giving a *bleep*..Sorry but not being born in Florida I am sickened by some of the things people get away with here it makes me want to move back home!!
-
Jurors seem to watch too many TV shows such as CSI and if they can't see a video of it they don't believe it. It is OJ all over again. I hope her life becomes a total misery to her. It will be many years before she will be able to live a normal life because too many people know what she looks like and most of them believe she murdered Caylee. The prosecution probably shouldn't have gone for murder 1 and gone for murder 2 or manslaughter instead.
-
I was so shocked about the verdict. This poor child didn't get any justice. It makes me so sick because I am a mother and I love my children so much I can't believe this happened. :'(
-
Quite honestly I am trying not to think about it since it really did not involve me directly.
-
i think she's guilty has hell
-
I am willing to bet that she will be back in the news and in trouble again within the next year.
I always thought that O.J. Simpson would snap again and hurt someone else or lose his temper and wind up in trouble and he did. I thought the same thing about Joren Van Der Sloot who was accused of killing Natalie Holloway in Aruba and surprise, surprise, within a few years he killed someone else.
I think people who are this blatantly screwed up will always reoffend. It just hope someone stops her next time before she hurts someone else.
-
That lady got incredibly lucky, and I doubt she's even smart enough to be truly grateful for it.
-
it was a total shock, but the thing is i seriously doubt she'll go off scott free. there are way too many people outraged over it, and a lot of them would have no remorse making her pay for what she did in their own way. she's going to have to look over her shoulders for a longgg time i would be willing to bet. personally, it kills me to see anything harmful done to a child, but i really think they should get it off the news now. even bad publicity is good publicity for people like that. she's going to end up with book and movie deals, almost a given. what she deserves though, is to be totally forgotten about and left on her own with no help from anyone.
