got on the bus this morning and somebody was stinking oh god.

maybe they were up all night. Maybe they can't afford a home. You never know someones at home status.

I don't have to worry about anyone being stinky at school or on the bus since I graduated back in 2006. I'm glad my high school days are over with :)

There is stinking and then there just plain rude! How about this homeless guy who got on the bus and he was about to sit next to me I was doing work in a medical field so I did not wanna be touched.I tried to get up so he could take my seat and he pushed all up on me like dude get off me I know he saw I was wearing white scrubs like come on. I know some people cant help there situation but if you can get on a bus then you can go to a church where they give away free clothes and alot of times toilitries come on now. Im not buying the that excuse. My uncle was homeless at one point. But he still wore donated clothes and washed up wherever even if it was a public restroom he made the effort.I think some people just stop caring about themselves personally.

Poor hygiene is pure laziness. Not talking about homeless, but even then, there are places to get cleaned up occasionally. There is no excuse to smell of BO and/or stringy oily hair that stinks also. I see these women and men that rolled out of bed, put on dirty clothes, and go to Wal Mart. These are people that you know don't wash their hands after using the rest room, haven't combed their hair or brushed their teeth, and are touching everything. Their wearing flip flops (nothing wrong with wearing them), and their feet are filthy and scaling. They are oblivious to the way they smell because they have gotten use to themselves......ewww

oh man, me and my boyfriend and our daughter took the bus to walmart last thursday and this woman smelled so bad. i felt sorry for the girl sitting by her.

there's really no excuse for poor personal hygiene.
no, deodorant cannot be on the priority list of someone
very unfortunate/homeless/etc. however, there are
public restrooms available everywhere, where
there is running water AND soap.
like someone else said - any church will give you
personal hygiene products and clean clothes for free.
FOR FREE.
no excuse, just plain laziness. if that's cold hearted,
have a popsicle.

That is horrible to be on the bus with smelly people. Try this on for size. It happened to me two days ago and I'm still upset about it. I sat on a seat without looking at it first and I ended up with a pile of vomit stuck to my *bleep*. The driver of that bus was lucky I was on my way home and not on my way to work. It really wasn't his fault but still that bus should have been cleaned thoroughly before allowing passengers on. Who knows what type of sickness the person had. I learned my lesson though. I'll always look at the seat before I sit down.

There is nothing you can possibly do. It’s public transportation. People sweat more easily during the summer time. You can either hold your breath and move away to another spot, or drive your own car. It’s the least you can do. ;D

It's disgusting to smell stinky people any where. I worked with someone who didn't take showers regularly and didn't wear deodorant regularly because he claimed he didn't have much money. I gagged every time he came around. Nice guy, but he stank terribly. :-X

yes they should take a shower if they know they are going into a public place or public in general.
