Hello everyone, I am curiouse about college, How many of us went to college and did you go to a campus or online? If you went to a campus how different is it than doing it online, what are the bennifits? In 1991 I went to a trade school to learn an accounting trade which did't help me obtain a good job. I became partially disabiled in 2002 but continue to work in the In Home Health care until 2008. The state made me go to college or do comunity service for the help they were giving my son so I went to college and I did it online and recieved my associates degree in accounting, but I have not found a job doing this type of work in my area but it has help my parents, son, brother and my sister and they gave me a fair pay for my work but I wasn't expecting them to, because they are family. I think I would of rather went to a campus because it was hard to get the instructor to answer my questions in a timely matter so I could turn my work in on time. On the other hand I did save money by doing it at home and not paying for gas and food while in school. What do all you think?

I graduated from the old school- Going to school on campus...staying in the classroom for many hours of the day. Classes online- I have not done any courses...but I have learned a lot using the Internet.

Online courses are more difficult I think than going to regular classes. When I was doing my assignments it was a lot of typing and if you had a question it took forever to get the instructor to respond back. The math was easy for me to do but posting it was difficult. Some of it was easy but we had a final every nine weeks and it was difficult to write especially when you had to write so many words. I did pass with a B average so that was good. Thank you all for responding.

I currently attend Florida Tech University Online. It is VERY expensive about $500 per credit, that's $1500/class. I do get incentives that will help me pay for it. I chose to do it online because I work fulltime, my husband works fulltime and we have 2 school aged children. If I worked 8-5pm, physically went to school in the evenings I would not like to be burned out & away from my family 12+ hours certain days in the week :-[

I went to a "traditional" college. When I was in college the internet was just beginning to get popular we weren't even connected until the summer before my senior year so there wasn't an option for online classes as much as now.

I think it depends on the school, instructors, and classes. My husband took on online class, and didn't have any problems. Most of his classes were at the college though.

I think both offer quality education, but really research teh college before attending, because many of them receive commissions for enrollment and really don't care about registering you .. I went through this with the University of Phoenix and now they are under investigation for fraudulent enrollment through Congress. Make sure you check with the College accredidation office and your local state to be sure the degree is honered in the occupation you are attending school for. I went two years, over $20,000 and no degree for what I was going to school for. So just be really careful. You can go to Senator Harkins website and it will show the schools being investigated for online fraud under hearings. Next time I am going to go to my Community College, plus it is cheaper. ??? ;D

I went to college online an on campus.

On campus but the school also offers online classes. I've taken both. I prefer online classes less drama.
