Title: do you shop at the malls or like walmart
Post by: aggie49 on July 18, 2011, 03:44:22 pm: we went today to the mall and i felt totally out of place the stuff there was so expenive i couldn't take it so we ended up at walmart where the same stuff was like 20 dollars cheaper i used to shop the malls when i was younger and then they wasn't to bad but wow they sure have gotten expensive

Post by: manders8 on July 18, 2011, 11:35:20 pm: I mostly shop at Target since that is the closest store near me compared to going to Wal-Mart. I would have to agree with you though the prices at the mall seem to be going up and up.

Walmart is great for your household things; groceries, etc. But the malls, I still love for my clothes. I think the old saying "you get what you paid for" does apply in certain cases! I used to buy my girls t-shirts and such from there, but they just didn't seem to last long.

I love MACY's for clothing ... of course I shop the clearance racks but you can get beautiful clothes there cheaper than you can shop at goodwill!!!

I have found alot of good buys at jcpenny's a others. I like to get my Sunday clothes at Pennys or one of the other nice stores. I have to go out of town to go to these but it is just about 18 and 25 miles away. wish we had these stores here along with walmart and the dollar stores. Would be much nices since gas is still go up.

personally though.. LOVE the christmas tree shops :)

T.J Maxx and Ross if you don't know have clothes and various other home goods that for whatever reason did not sell the prior year at the mall. You usually get 50% or more off original prices for name brand, high end items. My wife still goes to the mall for her favorite clothes retailer, New York & Company. I like going to the mall occasionally to get Sears tools, movies, walking around, or the food court.

I use to love shopping at Walmart but it seems to me that the selection has becaome less especially in the meat department, I do still shop there it is convievant and I can find everything I need there. Heck I do not cook enough anyway to coplain about the meat selection just thought I would trow my 2 cents in.

Post by: vmcutshall on July 20, 2011, 11:20:54 pm: I so some grocery shopping at Wal Mart but my produce I get a a regular grocery store because the few times I have purchased fruit there it spoiled within 2 days. I buy the rest of my stuff at Wal Mart though because it is further to go to a Mall.

Walmart has done what other discount stores have not done: Provide excellent services and sales to poor people who otherwise would not and could not survive. I shop for bargains at Walmart, Target and JCPenney sales.

I do shop more at Walmart and i especially like Super Walmart, but i also like Target as well! I just wish that Target and Super Walmart was closer where i live!
