Title: What time do you go to bed?
Post by: sommap on August 11, 2011, 08:28:58 am: I usually head to bed a little before 11:30 and will read for half an hour or so. Reading keeps my mind focused on one thing instead of the hundred things that are floating around in my head.

what time you need to wake up usually makes just as much of an impact on the decision of what time I go to bed.

by nature, so unless i baby myself into bed somehow,
i'll never get there :P

i have a MUCH more productive, less grumpy day
when i hit my midnight goal!

My boyfriend and I were staying up until 11 or so to have some relaxing time together after the kids go to bed. Then he started working til 1 in the morning, so I got used to waiting up for him to get home and then go to bed after he had something to eat and watched tv for a little while. With his new job he has to be up at 5am so he has been trying to get to bed much earlier, around 9 or 10. I am still trying to get used to the transition cause my body gets so used to sleeping at a certain time. Plus, once my kids go to bed is the time that I always get on FC and do some other things online because I work during the day a few days a week and even on the days I don't work, my kids keep me very busy during the day. 2 year old and 4 month old. So that is the only time I get to do my stuff.

Post by: poppy1 on August 14, 2011, 11:50:34 am: I have to be at work at 6am, so that requires I be up at 4am which means iI go to bed around 8pm sometimes. There are nights that winding down is a little dificult and its after 10pm before I fall asleep.

I make dinner for everyone once in awhile we all might go to the movies.

Hubby gets up very early and works long hours so I go to bed with him and usually end up watching tv until around 10 pm. I normally get up around 6:30 but sometimes earlier or like this morning I may sleep in until 7am since I was up until around 11 last night watching a movie. I would rather go to bed early and get up early .... you have heard the saying ..... early to bed early to rise makes a man (or woman!) healthy, wealthy and wise! :cat:

Ever since I had surgery and was in the hospital for over a month I notice I get weak and have to take a nap during the day and I don't get as much acomplished that I use to. They even put me in a nursing home for a while so that my stiches would not get infected because I had animals in the house. That whole ordeal was horiable all because one doctor accidently nicked my intensence and I was in a lot of pain so they had to cut over a foot out and I had a clostomy bag for a year and 6 months. I am so glad thats done, so back to the topic it veries with me but I would say on an average 11:30pm.

Whenever I feel like it... But usually at midnight or after... because I like to watch late night movie.

It depends on the night and what I try to watch on the DVR after getting the kids to bed. My goal is to get in bed earlier but......I'm sure that won't happen much :) I love staying up - that's my time but I do have to get up early during the school year.

Usually waking up in the afternoon feels like I have no energy, so I try to wake up as early as my body allows me. Around 7-8 hours of sleep will do me good. ^_^

And we live about an hour a way so he gets up around 5 am. He has to have his sleep for work and beside that he works out in the heat all day so he is a little grumpy when he gets home.

Post by: pstovall on August 23, 2011, 12:25:23 pm: Now that I am retired, I get to sleep like I want to. I mainly go to bed when I get sleepy and sleep until I don't want to sleep any more! My internal clock loves to stay up til 3 or 4 am and sleep til 10 or 11. I stayed up last night until 5 am completing a daily task here at FC. The daily tasks are somewhat time consuming, but fun to do and help grow your money!

I have tried to change my schedule in order to make it easier to do "business" because I don't work anymore but I always resort back to the same hours more or less.

My mind is always up and active while all I want to do is sleep. I end up getting out of bed, watching t.v., or reading to finally get that sleepy feeling. I think I suffer from Insomnia but I'm too afraid to take sleeping pills.

I was tired all night too and when I was finally ready for bed around 4:00, I all of a sudden I felt wide awake. The story of my life, I can sleep when I don't want to and when I do I can't. :dontknow:

I have a hard time getting use to sleeping at different times. But today the way things are, I am glad to have a job. May God bless each of you today.

I would really be more on a schedule if I had a job to go to. There are hard to come by. I had a few interviews and it sounded like they where going to give me the job than they didn't got my hopes all up and everything. It sucks I want to work but no one will give me a chance because I just finished high school, I want to go to college but I need to find a job so I can suport myself.

I try to work everything around my internet income because that is all I have beside my husband SSi so that more important to me unless I have to go to doctors or something. I have to get up by 6am sept 6 so I can support my brother in law so I will be getting off her to go to bed but other wise I dont worry about and I have problems sleeping anyways. Its seems when I go to be at a decent hours I toss and turn and finally fall asleep in the early am I am a night owl I guess.

Post by: froggylover227 on September 10, 2011, 01:24:48 pm: Well, I was going to bed around 1:00 a.m., but I realized that having to get up and ready for work at 6:00 a.m. and being able to pull an 8-hour day on 5 hours of sleep just wasn't possible. So I started going to sleep around 11:30 or 12:00 and it cuts it.

Post by: lbeery on September 22, 2011, 01:07:34 pm: I try really hard to be in bed by midnight. I seem only to be able to sleep for 6 hours no matter when I go but I am usuallly a useless pumpkin after midnight and tempted to eat if I stay up any later which sort of blows the diet effort.

For example: I recently moved to DC and started a new gig that I have to wake up pretty early for but the real reason is because my girlfriend goes to bed early for her position and does not want to lose any sleep. As a result, I go to bed the same time she does.
