so adorable!

Thank You. That is when he is really cute. But he can be a holy terror too. Working on trying to keep him from biting. He does it out of habit, but I need to break him from biting your heels and hands. They are just nips like one puppy would do to the other but humans don't like it. Any ideas on how to teach him not to do it?

what an adorable little pup!!! This is going to sound horrible, but I've tried it and it works!!! When puppy nips you, nip him back. It works for kittens too. Just nip him gently on the tip of his ear, he'll soon learn that it is not fun.

I will try it. Just hope I don't get thrown in jail for pet cruelty (ha ha).
Have a great Labor Day Weekend!

First of all, I AM NOT biting any animal, as someone else suggested. I am not even living in the same house with any animal. They are all nasty and carry an array of parasites and diseases, and they ALL STINK!! However I would simply use a rolled up newspaper and smack him pretty good on the nose, every time he did it and loudly command NO or STOP!!

one thing that i have learned from dog training is when u want a dog to stop either biting you or jumping on what u do isyou just stand up say NO BIT and turn around and ignore him he then will (or should i say most dogs) try to get your attention and just ignore him still and keep turning your back with your hands cross, cause when puppy bit ot any dogs jump on you they want to play but if you do this then you will become very borning to the puppy and make sure he has lots of chew toys cause another reason why u might bit if he is still young he might be teething... hope this information helps u with your new pup...
by the way is very very cute best of luck  :)

Yes he is teething and he has many toys. But your idea of turning away and ignoring might work, I will try it and let you know how it turns out

So cute! Dogs are a lot of fun, but can be a handful if you lay down the law and let them know that you're the pack leader, not them.

Aw!
Yeah, I just would bop him on the nose and say a high pitched "Ouch!" then a firm "NO"
He'll grow out of it, so long as you don't encourage it :)
A bigger problem that happened in our house was thinking it was "adorable" when the puppy pulled on pants legs or whined really loud. As an adult, with pants-ripping teeth and much larger lungs? Yeah, not so cute anymore :P
