i hear about my fiance's friend's parents going to the casino alot and spending thousands of dollars there. i really dont know why they choose to spend all that money at once but i guess if u have the money to blow u can do whatever with it. sometimes i wish wealthy people would help us out instead of wasting it the money in the casino. eh, i dont expect things handed to me but we're struggling like crazy and there is other people who isnt hurting with money. my fiances friend has helped us out without us asking and usually doesnt expect anything in return coz he knows we need the money alot more then he does.

I know of people who don't really have the money to spend but still go to casinos because they are addicted and are always thinking they will win "the next time." The only people who win at casinos are casino owners. I do not go to casinos, and I actually stopped buying lottery tickets years ago when I realized I had a drawer stuffed full of tickets and had never won anything. The sad thing is that people who have money do not worry about us have-nots; they are too busy trying to figure out how to get more.

yeah and i hear they have so much stuff just piled in their house that is worth alot of money but they dont want to part with it unless its like dvd's or something else. i hear that the garage is filled with things they dont use or dont need but yet dont have a garage sale or give it away to people in need so that they can make money off it instead of it collecting dust or mouse poop in the garage. :bs: sometimes i hate hoarders.

I studied up on blackjack and keeping a count for a long period of time in preparation for going to a casino. My methods allowed for no fun or emotion or instinctive feelings, it was simply pure numbers and methodology. In a period of about a month I had accumulated over 30 thousand in profits. Then in one bad day I broke from my system, lost this 30 thousand and a few thousand more that I really couldn't spare. I was literally sick after that and haven't gone back. I don't know if my initial run was purely luck or what but that one day broke me (in more ways than one).

I haven't been to a casino except to walk in and turn around. I think they would be fun, but I also can't see spending that kind of money for the entertainment. I feel guilty buying a scratch ticket. But you know you can't win if you don't play.

I used to go about once a year, but only had a certain amount of money that I could lose. I generally lost it. I hadn't been to one in years until this summer. We go to the same resort evry summer and there is a casino in town. None of us had ever been there. Four families, with everyone 18 or over went. It turned out to be a lot of fun. I played the slots for two hours and only lost $25. All the guys who played 21 won - from $10 to over $200. They were all happy. We will probably do it as a group again next summer.
I have been to Las Vegas, but got bored with all of the gambling. I was winning on roulette for a few days.

Everytime I see a commerial for a casino, at the end they always say " If you have a problem, please call this number." If people didn't have gambling problems these places would not exist. :dontknow: :angry7: :dontknow: :angry7:

I go to the Casinos quite often, but not to gamble. They usually have a great buffet and it's really cheap. We have one an hour from us that has all you can eat crab, shrimp, oysters, prime rib, steak, salads, deserts, vegies and even pizza if that rings your bell, all for $14.95 and you can hardly walk out when you finish eating all that stuff.

I've gone a handful of times. I hate losing money so if/when I do I limit myself. Not a lot of people have self control though, they keep thinking, maybe this next hand I can win it all back :wave:

I have never been to a casino! I can't imagine spending so much money, "that I don't have to start with" on games of chance, luck, or whatever you call it! I am way to frugal to just blow money away!

Every few years there's a bus trip special, where I get cash to play with and coupons for meals.

I went to a casino once only to get something to eat with 2 of my neighbors. The food was great and I hope to take my mom there some day. I always thought about going to a casino to play those slot machines. I may do that next time I walk into a casino :)

They have several casinos around us and we used to go to one for breakfast quite a bit. They weren't cheap but they were pretty good but that was when they were first opened. I've been to 2 of them to gamble but only with a small amount that I could afford to lose and only because relatives were in town & it was something fun to do. I worked in the accounting department of one of them for 9 years & the big winners were also big losers for the most part.

I work at an indain owned casino. My pay check depends on people coming to the casino and losing money. I see people who can afford to lose some money and people who are struggling who go to the casino.
Since my fiancee is from this tribe, we also depend on the casino for his pay checks.
Yes i know its sad that people can be addicted and lose thousands of dollars because they think they can hit the big one. But it is a business.

I've been to a casino about 3 times...i do enjoy going but i haven't been there for 4 years. I honestly thing money goes where money is...the owners will always be winners... the people who wins are always the ones that don't need the money. I do enjoy going and i have my limit... i know when to stop.

No. The cigarette stench from the places knock me out.
Went into a casino once, and the smell was so thick that I was sick for days. I'm allergic to the smoke and smell.
Another reason why I can't go to any bars or nightclubs.

i never bother with casinos. if i had money to just throw away, i wouldnt be doing things like fc lol. have a friend who's getting divorced, just found out his wife had over 10,000$ in casino debt that he didnt know about...sad how people can get sucked into things like that! :dontknow:

I have basically a month left till i can go to the casinos, but I don't think that I will be going any time soon. For one I watched my parents and grandfather go in to many times with almost all their money and walk out empty handed and empty pockets. And for two I have no extra money to spare right now so there is no point in going into any place that i have to spend unnecessary money.

I've never been to a casiono and I'm not very interested. But I want to experience it at leat once in my life time. We live in Colorado so Reno isn't far way.

I go to the Casinos for the entertainment, excitement, and of course the gambling. But I don't have a lot to gamble with so I don't gamble much. But I do enjoy the shows and concerts.

I think it is wrong to use your money on gambling. The risks are too high and the chances of winning it big are too low. Too many people have ruined their lives and families after they became addicted to gambling.

if I have extra spending money and want to get out of the house I go down to the casinos amd try my luck. I win some and I lose some but its fun to go out and try my luck.

Casinos can be addicting and are very dangerous for people who have have difficulties with impulse control. Lots of people fall into debt because they have been hypnotized by the lure of winning something instantly. I like casinos but I can only go if I set a personal spending limit and have a group of people with me.

Only on cruise ships. But gambling is a rare treat for me.

I'm lucky if I make it there once a year. I don't like blowing my money at the casino. My grandmother (82 years old) goes ALL THE TIME. She likes to say she is entitled to do that because she is 82 but I honestly think it's an addiction for her. Not in a bad way because she still owns 2 homes and makes sure her bills are always taken care of. I just still think going 5 times a month is extreme.

I enjoy going to the Casino, I go a few times a year, and I only take with me what I won't miss,lol which isn't much, but I play the penny slots and I actually usually can break even if not come out with a little extra. But I know that is not the norm for most people. I love watching the people there, its a fun evening.

I love to go to casinos. Love the slots and the craps table. I don't spend alot unless I win - have a daily spending limit and always pocket half of what I win. Sometimes I do really well and other times not. My main problem is that I don't walk a way from a losing machine often enough. Hey, I just think it it fun to go there.

We go once in a great while. We usually set a limit of how much we will spend for the night, and a time limit. Then we leave when either we are out of cash or time, whichever comes first. Sometimes we do good, other times not so much. But it is a nice night out without children.
