It seems like every time I have gone to the grocery store in the past couple of months the prices have kept steadily gone up. Some things have been on sale at the price use-to-be regular price. I really feel for large families! There are only two of us, well three if you count our dog who eats pretty much what we do, and I know what it cost for our basics with a few luxury items ~ I love my ice cream ~ to feed us. I use more generic/off-brands now than I have in the past. I just "doctor" them up. I have always clipped coupons but companies aren't putting out the really good ones like they use to issue.
-
ourshave gone up about 25% especially meat and dairy so i've started using coupons or buying when there's a sell and that helps. grocerys usually rise and fall with gas prices
-
Food Prices continue to rise at an alarming rate.
I can't believe a can of Campbell's soup is $1.50.
-
Yes, even the generic brands are to high. Changed the way I eat.
-
Yes, every time gas prices goes up, everything else goes up.
-
I did my grocery shopping at Walmart yesterday and prices for things I normally buy went up. A 64 oz Hawaiian Punch was $1.50. It jumped to $2.48. It's still cheaper than the grocery store but now only by .02.
At least gas was cheaper than usual. ;)
-
yes they are going up all the time. But I know how you can get it free and help your friend's can to to is how to to facebook find me their.
-
yes but its not just food products it is everything
-
Everything seems to be going up food, gas, and prescription drugs, household products. I shop at the Dollar Tree for a lot of things for the house. Its cheeper and I can afford it. There is somethings that are better bought somewhere else like breakfast ceareal and other food items. I recieve SSi and we have not got a cost of living increase in two years because they (government) said there has not been an increase of in the cost of living and when they do give up one its like $14 which I guess every little bit helps but that isn't much.

Um...try shopping for food in a foreign country and you'll realize how good we have it here in America. In New Zealand, for example, candy bars run as high as $3.50 for ONE. A bottle of soda or water that would cost $1 to $2 at a gas station here costs $4 to $5 there...and you get less. Even eating at McDonald's costs double what you would pay in the States.

I think everything is rising except the income. I don't know what the government exspects people to do. Electric is like three times as much and worse in the winter time. We do everything to cut back and it is still almost $200 dollars, so i guess winter time it will be over 400 because it usually doubles in the winter. My mom is worried becasue there is less help and things are not going down. She already stays home all the time I don't know what more she can cut back.
-
Oh yea its bad and i dont think its gonna get any betther cause her come the holidays and they know people cook and have to eat
-
Yes, definitely. Even in the lower priced stores, prices have increased considerably.
-
all the prices have been raised up about 10%
-
yes they seem like they have. the meat seems a few cents more and schnucks took over our hilanders here.
-
Yes, prices have been rising over the last few months. And considerably so, not just by a penny or two. Some prices have gone up 25 cents in a very short period of time. It is very hard on me. I am a senior citizen who live in HUD housing for lower income seniors. I get a small social security check and I still need to work p.t. to have any quality of life. We have not had a raise in our social security for two years now because, supposedly, there is so little inflation. But all my bills have risen considerably such as electric. And food is sky high. All the basic necessities have gone up. :(
-
Most definitely.Between the food and gas prices,it seems a losing battle sometimes.
-
Most definitely. Food prices nowadays is rediculous. But it comes from the price (or should I say cost) of other things going up and the companies just passing the cost onto us consumers. Sucks but what can you do but be more creative, utilize coupons, and make sure to get neccessities and not just junk when you go grocery shopping.
-
Prices here seem to be rising steady since Obama took office.
