I kill the icky crawly things (he hates spiders more than I do), and sometimes open the jars too!
We haven't needed to dig holes, but yeah, he bears the job of moving the heaviest things. ;D

All of you who are happy with the man you are married to and/or living with, good for you! My answer to this question probably doesn't apply to you either.
The only purpose I found out of living with one was it allowed me to see I never want or need to do it again and I won't! I don't even regret all the years married to him anymore, have had enough time pass, but I am grateful I learned (in a very painful way) to never rely on another human for my happiness. ;) I agree it works both ways, but he never got the memo on love and faithfulness. He DID get the one that said "Treat her like a doormat because she could never raise the kids on her own and she's too afraid to kick your a** to the curb." - wrong.....fail. 8)

The purpose for living with a man differs greatly from person to person. It doesn't matter who we are talking about, it doesn't matter what groups they belong too. It doesn't matter how old they are, what race they are, what gender they are. You cannot ascribe every possible individual to one belief. Individual human beings differ too greatly to do so, and to attempt to do so is not only foolish but blind.

I am not sure all I know is that it is sometimes best to be on your own for a while. Because it is a huge commitment, and if you're not up for it then my advice to you is RUN!!!! :o

Damn! That sounds like you had a rough time! I feel sorry you had to go through that garbage, but atleast it built a good foundation on what you want. Good for you, sista.

Aww, thanks, Falconer. It was rough, to say the least, but I am a strong person and knew I would be fine as long as I stuck to my own 'life plan'. Looking back, I believe he was threatened by the fact that I would always make more money than he would and instead of looking at that as a positive for all of us, he saw it as a 'problem'. You just can't compete and compare if you truly want a marriage or relationship to work. ;)

if you arent happy with the person you are with you shouldnt be with them. you should only be with each other if both persons love each other.

Men and women are supposed to love each other and be faihful but for some reason it seems like more and more couples are unfaithful to each other. I also dont understand all these girls that end up pregnant and decide they need to get married when they dont even love each other. Could you yell divorce any louder?

This is also the purpose of a man. To love and be faithful to her. If either one of them has a problem with this they should live without the other. :thumbsup:

I agree, I live with my bf so that he can split the bills with me and so that I won't have to do everything by myself (unfortunately, I still do the vast majority of the cleaning, and he does the vast majority of mess making.) :angry7:

The purpose of a woman is to love and be there for her partner; in return the purpose of a man is to love and be there for his partner. If a woman or a man is using the other to for any superficial benefit than there relationship will most likely end up in disaster.

If you're not going to be faithful then don't commit to anyone. Just stay single. Too many men and women try to have their cake and eat it too.

I agree with the idea of having someone to kill spiders and open jars. Another reason is to have someone to check out the 'strange' noises in the night. LOL
The purpose of a man living with a woman is so that he does not catch the plague or leprosy from his idea of a clean house!
