Hey, I ain't complaining because here in New Jersey, the gas prices are dropping! It's down to about $3.19 for the most expensive, and the least I've seen it for is $3.09. It used to be $3.35 not too long ago, so maybe the price drop is moving from east to west! Who knows, maybe in a couple days or weeks you'll notice a price drop too!

I'm in Oregon and I paid 3.59.9 a couple of days ago at a truck stop.  The other stations are over 3.67 or so.  They say prices have dropped 4 cents but according to my records the last time I filled I only paid about 3.54.  Maybe that's the new math or something.  If I pay 5 cents per gallon more and they tell me I paid 4 cents less I guess I should feel better HAHA :dontknow: :dontknow:

I couldn't even tell how much gas is. I fill up twice a week too. Just can't let myself be bothered with something I can't control.  ???
Especially when it fuels my hobby.

If the gas companies can make a profit, then why should they lower the prie. we have to drive to work, you have to work to live. so the oil companies can pretty much charge what they want. and we will have to pay it. Even during the past few years with the economy in the tank. the oil companies still post record profits. talk about not caring

Our gas prices went down for a few days then back up. Now they are down a little. That is if you call $3.36 down. i wish it would get under $3 again. Do you think we will ever see those days again?

Gas is about $3.40 in my part of Massachusetts.  More importantly, don't you love how we all have recalibrated our minds to think that the low 3's is a good price to pay for gas.  It wasn't that long ago that we were rountinely paying in the 2's and now we think its a bargain at $3.15 or so......

The gas prices are ridiculous, my hubby travels at least two hours daily,  He spends upwards of 200.00 weekly on gas!  How are we supposed to get ahead?  they make cars that are supposed to save on gas but they cost an arm and a leg,  it is a shame how the little man is being taken advantage of in such hard times.

It's part of the game. It goes down so more people will leave their homes and then it goes back up before they can get home. lol actually it always is an up and down market so it should be constantly changing to reflect that. I'd like to see it back down to 2 bucks but I don't think thats going to happen in my lifetime again.

I have a solution for the raising gas prices, don't own a car! Seriously, unless you live in the outskirts of a city or have a ton of kids, there is no reason why public transporation can't get every where they need to go.

Gas prices haven't really dropped here. I keep hearing about them dropping but if they do drop here, it's only by a few cents, then the prices will rise a little again. I'm not really impressed.

Our gas prices drop a little and then go back up a little.  It's slightly better than 6 months go but not as good as a year ago when it got down to around $2 a gallon.  When I first started driving, we used to go to the gas station with a quarter and drive around til curfew  ;D  Of course, my summer job paid 90 cents an hour too but I didn't have many expenses back in the good old days

Well I live in the northeast as well but gas prices I thought were a little decent since I moved up here because around that time it was approaching $4.  I'm sure in the southeast that the prices are lower because they always werer whenever i compared the two areas.

If you are lucky enough to have reward points from your local grocery that is the best way to beat the system on these high gas prices.

The gas prices are up and will remain up. We have all been programed to understand that the price goes up high then drops back down a little every year slowley getting the price ever higher. The oil companies used to make excuses that it was because of the oil well fires, then import fees, then huricane katrina, then they were repairing and maintaining refineries.. (all were BS) After each year they posted record profits.. How could they not you charge more for a product that even now is less per barrel of crude oil than it was when we last went to almost 3 dollars a gallon.  then consider that you pay at least 5 dollars for a quart of oil...bearing grease, diesel fuel etc etc. The bottom line is that the oil companies know that they can charge whatever they want and society will have to pay it.. Unless the government steps in to stop the oil companies this will continue.. It is not just the pain at the gas pump, groceries all cost more , they have to pass on some of the expense...  But if we all must share the burden of higher fuel prices , then maybe we could all share in the billions in profit still seen by the oil companies...
