Last year I got up extra early to do black friday and I got what I wanted but the crowds with their pushing and shoving was not worth it. Chicago is one of the worst places to shop. I decided this year to simply shop online and got my 2yr old a bicycle from kmart for 24.99 a pogo stick for my daughter and other items. I also shopped at kohls and purchased video games for my 9yr old. Happy holidays.

No, I hate shopping to begin with, crowds really annoy me and the idea of putting both together isn't very appealing to me.
-
I usually avoid shopping on black friday. I usually have to work anyways
-
Most of the stuff they push on Black Friday is usually on sale right before Christmas anyhow, so I see no need to put myself through that type of misery. I like buying stuff after Christmas, that's when the really good deals can be found and it also gives me a chance to use up all of the gift cards I'm sure to get...
-
No I didnt shop black friday at all. I can understand people wanting to save money and get good deals, but some people are just too extreme lol I do wanna go one of these years tho lol
-
I did not shop black Friday but I had to be at walmart at 2 am. I work there and by the time I got to work the crowd was nearly gone. I was glad I was not there when it started. I was going to by something but it had all sold out by the time I got there.
-
I did not shop on Black Friday. Instead I volunteered at our local thrift shop. These sales were extremely good all day which was great. All of our proceeds go to benefit the local high school scholarship fund.
I don't think I've ever shopped on Black Friday. :peace:

I went to black Friday and picked up some pretty good deals on video games for my girlfriend and I to play.
New PS3 games - these are usually ~$60 each.
Rage 29.99
Uncharted 3 29.99
Batman Arkham City 29.99
Got these used at Gamestop
Assassin's Creed II
Resident Evil 5
Used controller (to get me to 2)
So now we can play PS3 games together since we have multiple controllers :-)

no I stayed at home.safe and sound. no crowds.shopping is all done so i had no need to be out in the mess.
-
I shopped online for deals. Can't deal with all the crazy people at the stores.
-
I did that about 6 years ago not fun. Not planning on doing that again but who knows.
-
I stopped by best buy before going to work (about 6:30am). It wasn't too crowded and I was able to get some DVDs and CDs on sale. Overall a good experience. I also found a store called $5 or less, a lot of good deals in there but I think it is like that all the time so I will be going back.
-
i went to one store because i didn't have a ride to the mall. oh how i wish i could have gone to the mall and see what was happening
-
I never shop on black friday. I don't have enough medication for that. 8) :peace:
-
I wanted a tv at walmart and we got a ticket, and it was for the wrong tv. so no it wasn't the best black friday. we left.
-
are you kidding i dont want to get trampled

I didn't shop the Black Friday sales, but I sure did work them! I am a seasonal employee at Toys R Us, and let me tell you, it was CRAZY yesterday! Lots of people, spending lots of money, making lots of messes! But it did make the day go by fast at least!
-
I never shop on Black Friday, the crowds are to much for me. However, I did try to go to Walmart, Thursday night. I walked in, saw the lines and crowds and crowds of people and walked right out....lol.

Yes, I did! I got a great deal at Macys! I brought my son a designer coat for $16.99, the regular price of the coat was $70.00. I also had $40.00 worth of Macys giftcards and a $10.00 off coupon. I automatically saved $50.00 off my total purchase. I also got a Nike jacket and saved $27.50 off that, as well as some Thomas and Friends PJs which were only $13.00. My total savings were $101.23. I only paid $13.00 when I left Macys as where I would have normally paid $170.00 worth of merchandise!
I  MACYS! They are my favorite store. :notworthy:
I also went to Toys R Us, but was a little disappointed in their sales. I got a few items, along with a 20% coupon and saved about $25.00 but spent a whole lot more there than Macys!! :-[

NEVER......I think it's pretty interesting that people do that when they could probably wait a few days and get the same price on the next sale. Then as usual the media is there and they interview a person who tells them what she got her kids for Christmas and they print it in the paper.....so much for surprises. :dontknow: :dontknow:

I shopped on thursday night which is so much better than 4 am. People are tired and grumpy and rude at 4am. It's not so bad when people are awake.
-
Nope! Not at all! I haven't done the whole Black Friday madness, ever. I didn't do any online shopping either. I just don't have money for that, or I would certainly take advantage of the sales and buy some things that are needed.
-
Due to my current location (Thailand) I missed out on the Black Friday sales. I could have participated in Cyber Monday via the net, but decided against it since I won't be home to accept the shipments. Bummer, but overall I probably saved myself some bucks...
-
No I didn't shop any black Friday deals. Probably plenty of deals yet to be had!
-
I shopped, but it was on the internet and not at a crowded mall ugh, sitting at home drinking egg nog... it was quite nice...

I hate shopping as well. I got what I wanted online. I can shop more or less when I want to/can.
Added bonuses are, better selection, parking, and my feet do not hurt!

I'm from Japan and Christmas there is like Valentine's day here.
I've been living in the US almost 8 years but I still get overwhelmed by this christmas related shopping craziness every year.
So no, I didn't shop the blacck friday sales
-
No, I had to work.

I did the Black Friday once years ago and promised myself I would never do something that crazy again and I haven't. I like the comfort of shopping online sitting at home in my jammies and drinking hot chocolate. The people are going way overboard with the experience. First being crumpled to death literally and this year pepper spray. When does the insanity end?
-
I chose not to this year. I hope to find some amazing deals without worrying about the risks that have made the news the last couple years. I also don't want to go into debt for Christmas. Since I didn't have the cash, it was worth it not to go out. I don't want to pay interest and increase the cost of the presents I got on a deep discount back up to the original amount. So, I keep working on FC and other sites to get the money together so I can pay cash.
-
A few years ago I would've gone crazy at it but, this year I had some financial obligations that led me to
Put my needs before my wants/desire to shop. lol

I'm from Central California...4am and the mall looked like a scene from an apocalyptic movie! Thankfully, the weather was much more mild (I know I don't have much room to complain with you coming from Chicago), but I only grabbed a few things from Target. The rest I shop online for.
-
I did but some how the deals weren't too impressive, which might be good for me, so didn't go shopping crazy.
-
Took advantage of the Apple online BF sale and got an iPad!
-
nope i didnt go to any black friday sales because i didnt have the money and i didnt want to deal with all the crazy people that were out.

No, not ever again!! I went with my daughter one time and wow, it was ridiculous! People shoving and pushing and throwing things to another person. Nutty!

I actually did go shoppingon Black Friday, however I waited until about 2 in the afternoon. I figured that by that time most of the craziness over the 'wonderful' deals would be over.
It was not bad at all. Some of the checkout lines were long, but the stores were not really crowded.
-
No, didn't shop on black Friday. Too much crowds there's usually nothing left and it's hard to find what you want. I like to go shopping when there's not a lot of people.
-
First time I went to black Friday sales. I managed to get my computer with all components for a great price.
-
i rather shop online-it makes me kind of lazy to shop online but i save a lot of money.
-
No shopping.. Also it was so slow that I didn't even need to work (I work in retail).
-
No, I did not shop black Friday, I have never done so. I was busy shopping estate sales though.

The only things that were on sale that I was planning to buy were also available online, so I saved $40 on one video game for my youngest brothers, and $30 on a game for the oldest of my younger brothers. Saved $70 on items I was planning to buy anyways without even leaving the house. ;D
