Title: The Walking Dead
Post by: debidoo on November 27, 2011, 12:57:27 am
Does anyone out there in fusioncash like the tv show the "walking dead".  I am just crazy about it.  Don't know why zombies are so appealing in a tv show because I sure wouldn't want to meet one in real life (lol) Apparently judging by the popularity of the show I am not alone!  Also like zombie movies and can't believe someone didn't come up with a tv show about zombies before now.

Surprisingly I didn't like it that much. The 1st season was okay, but a lot of the acting and story arcs just seemed so forced onto the whole thing that it kind of ruined it for me. I've been told the 2nd season is better, but I have yet to see it so if more could confirm this, I'd probably sit down and watch it.

AMC is running a few of the latest episodes of TWD back to back tonight before the newest installment.  While they can't be fighting walkers all the time, any series is going to have 'contrived' subplots.  Some suspense remains about how the whole thing began, as well as with the lost girl and, as series go, I've seen worse.

The walking dead reminds me of the zombie coal miners in wyoming. They work such long hours. I don't know how they function. Like true robots I say.

I love that show. Too bad they shot all their family and friends in the barn tonight  :(

Darn. Wish I saw this earlier! But yeah, it's an okay show. I don't despise it or anything. Maybe Left 4 Dead has spoiled me too much when it comes to zombies? Probably.

Rob Zombie sort of spoiled it for me.

Last night's show was a bit disturbing. It's a cross between jericho and dawn of the dead to me. I really do love the show though

The entire premise is meant to be disturbing; at least they finally found Sofia.

The unspoken underlying premise is interesting too; depicting what could happen to society and individual people when that society comes apart at the seams.

I really like this show.  I'm so glad they found Sophia and can't believe Lori is prego!!  I don't think it is Rick's baby!!  Oh well, I guess we'll find out soon enough.

I love The Walking Dead too. I did not know it existed until season 1 was over. I am addicted. It is hard because I don't have cable to watch it. And AMC stop posting the videos online. And they won't be back until February. I am hot about that. Along with a whole bunch of other people. :bs:

The last episode was so sad & heartbreaking when Sophia came out of the barn. I guess it doesn't come back until Feb.

Great show.  Its tough to keep it interesting.  Zombie movies/shows always end in most/all of the survivors dying.  Let's see how this works out.

I did like World War Z (the book)... it was written in a totally diferent perspective.  I am looking forward to that movie whenever it comes out.

at least we all know when the zombies come after you you must shoot them in the head. if you are bitten or ingest the blood of an infected person, please just shoot yourself. we will need to stop the spread before it gets out of control..   hey it could happen  :dontknow:

That's okay, I feel the same way about soap operas.

I too enjoy TWD; it reminds me what's likely to happen should a religious theocracy spread like wildfire, (the "walkers" especially remind me of fundies).

"fundies" or progressives... neither operates on anything more than immediate gratification.

Loved the music at the end of the show yesterday.  Episode was just decent.  Still a great series.

They do have a good selection of accompanying music on that series.  The midseason opener was intended to set up the remaining episodes, (although I did expect them to leave the farm, maybe that's forthcoming).

I love this TV Show is one of my favorites I watch it even online, If I miss and episode. I like it because it is different from what we were use to see before it has an actual story line. And it looks realistic for a tv series.

I couldn't agree with you more, I am not normally a fan or zombie flix or things like that.  But when it comes to this series the storyline is completely different and is so different.

Sometimes I feel like I am a true Dead man walking. I go through life hoping the world will really end in Dec 12, 2012, but I also know they don't have a clue as to when the world is going to end

That would be Dec. 21st and just the end of the current Mayan long-count calendar, (there was a previous cycle and another follows this one).  Also, most people don't use the Mayan calendar these days.

I like that show, its very realistic in terms of fighting and surviving. Maybe when the Apocalypse happens, we can use the episodes as references.

Practice head-shots and run faster than your slowest associates can.

Thanks for the correction. They still don't have a clue.

The nuclear missile officers who turn the keys have a better clue than anyone else when that particular ending will occur.

I would no longer tune into a show called "The Walking Dead" as I would to watch a horror movie or anything scary... I know what I like and that's not it...
