Title: Sweet Potatoe Pie or Casserole

I have heard many stories over the past week of recent Thanksgiving festivities. In every discussion, the tasty little (or big) sweet potato made itself a topic. My family enjoys a warm sugar free sweet potato pie from scratch!

Which do you prefer? Sweet Potato Pie or Casserole?

lol. neither, sorry. I would like to have pumpkin or pecan pie with vanilla flavored cool whip. :D

I have never had sweet potato casserole but I had sweet potato pie for the first time this Thanksgiving and it was FABULOUSLY YUMMY!!! I ate the majority of it since most of the people in my family wouldn't even try it. More for me  ;D   I wanted to buy another one this week but they weren't available. :(

Those are also on the menu at my house. Pecan pie is a favorite year round treat  :thumbsup:

I love sweet potato anything.  I bake one for myself for dinner every now and then.  Of course I usually add a little butter, brown sugar and cinnamon to it.  YUMMY   :notworthy: :notworthy:

I can't decide- I love them both!! If I was only allowed to pick on, it would have to be the cassarole. Where did you find your recipe for the sugar free pie? I would love to try and it make.

I LOVE SWEET POTATO PIE but I also LOVE Green bean casserole! I'd like to see the recipe without sugar also. Sweet potato pie is easy to make and having it without sugar would be great!

Anything with sweet potato tastes good to me.
The casserole is nice with marshmallows and brown sugar.
Pumpkin pie tastes a bit sweeter than sweet potato pie.
I recently had sweet potato pie for the first time in my life this year.

I LIKE SWEET POTATOE PIE I NEVER TRYED CASSEROLE BUT MY MOM WANTS TO TRY IT THOUGH...  :crybaby2: IM ALIL AFRAID TO TRY THAT. I HOPE ITS NOT THAT BAD :confused1:

I prefer my mom's grated sweet potato casserole any day over sweet potato pie.  She made it when I was growing up and it is now a tradition at our house for Thanksgiving.  I usually end up making extra to take to parties.  Full of pecans and maple syrup.  Yum!  Having some for supper tonight. :)

I didn't use a recipe. I just "make & bake"...lol

I boil 4-5 large potatoes in water, then after cooked thoroughly, peel the skin.
Mash potatoes (like regular mashed potatoes) & add a stick of butter,a pinch of salt, a generous amount of cinnamon (don't be stingy)& Splenda or Splenda Brown sugar to taste. (I mainly use plain Slenda)
Whip all together with mixer.
Place in pie pans & sprinkle with MORE cinnamon...mmmmmmm
Bake approx 20min


Thats it! Tastes so yummy!
