The United States economy is doing not that well in many people's eyes. Do you think that the economy will ever recover and how long do you think it would take? Thanks and please leave your comments below.

Ups and downs are part of a human life. Time is not at all constent, it changes with circumstances. If today US economy is going down ,one day it will back on track. I am sure. :)

Of course it will get better, it is just a matter of time.
-
The answer is an emphatic yes!!! However, I do believe it will take several years and the housing market may take up to a decade to reach previous levels. However, I feel that the jobs market has been rebounding, albeit slowly. I think this pace will continue for a while before it will begin accelerating again.

It has barely even begun to crash yet. To think otherwise is blind hope.

We can only hope. I think it looks glum.

I think it will improve soon, but it might get worse before it gets better.
-
The economy will eventually improve, but I doubt the recover will be within the next year despite some other people's optimism.
-
It,s not going to get any worse. Come on people. No economy that has stayed like this for so long goes down. Look into our past.
It might stay for a few more years, but it will not crash again.
-
It will not improve until congress figures out that it needs to decrease spending, have government be the solution to every problem, and quite acting like the person who gets out there and works is the enemy.
-
Yes, I think it will recover, we just need to work together and not apart, but the United Stated Economy will recover soon.
-
I think it has to eventually just have no idea when that will b hopefully soon !!!!
-
It'll get better! If we can make from the great depression into massive spending, I'm sure we can do the same thing again. I'm a little biased though. Our city/state usually has a surplus of money every tax year so our unemployment rate that goes with the economy are not the norm. :dontknow:
-
I believe it will recover only if the government stops acting like little children. This is not the government I remember when I was young. It seems to have gotten corrupt more and more ever since the Kennedy administration. It's a shame. If it does not recover, well, then, we will all have to move out.

We the people have a lot to do with this. The lazy welfare mamas who keep having babies so the government will pay them are a huge detriment to our society. I am sick and tired of paying taxes to support them. Unless there is welfare reform that sticks and people lose their sense of entitlement, I don't know the answer. All I do is work and pay for other people's food stamps and luxury cars while I can barely make ends meet.

I believe it may for a while but I also believe in bible prophecy I believe that the bible prophecy will be fulfilled :dontknow:

:dontknow:How can it get better when there are those intentionally bringing this entire planet down? :crybaby2: :angry7:
-
:dontknow: How do you think we can recover when "they're" doing everything in their power to destroy it? :angry7:

I sure hope so for the people out of work and retired people who live on a fixed income and count on their investments which have done very poorly in the last years. It will take a long time before it turns around. We use to have a large middle class of people, now it's mostly rich or poor.

:BangHead: I don't think it will recover to the extent that we have the Clinton years economy. There are too many factors involved which our economy was not so dependent on in the past. Crimes committed by the financial industry ie Wall St that is part of what drives the economy is mainly responsible for where we are. Our dependence on the world economy being healthy is another. And lastly, until we have jobs for the unemployed--which can be created much as Roosevelt did-that improves our infrastructure--nothing will happen. I don't understand why the president doesn't make this move and get it started.
We need to have representatives in government that truly represent the well-being of our country. And until we get the money out of politics that won't happen.

I hope that it does! Until it do, I will watch what I do with every penny of my income. I will pay off and not purchase! I will save! Pay myself first! I will continue to give and help others. :angel11: I will Vote and hope to see some changes in the future, for the people.

Companies are not hiring because of excessive regulations and the fear of the cost of Obamacare. It's foolish to think there will be a recovery until companies feel secure in hiring again. There are some companies that have jobs available but no one seems to have the necessary education or ability to fill them.
-
I don't think the economy will recover and we will be back in the depression or are we already there. It is getting harder and harder to find work and the government is doing nothing to make it better since they let companies move a lot of jobs overseas so that company doesn't have to pay what people in the US are worth

We went through bad times with Richard Nixon & Jimmy Carter and Ronald Regan turned it around. I didn't think that was possible but it happened so I have more faith this time around.

i hope it does because then there will be more jobs.

I keep hoping the economy will improve, but I am starting to wonder. Esp. since Europe now has credit problems--at least with the possibility of losing their credit rating. Our economy can't improve if the rest of the world's doesn't.
-
It might recover but it is going to take a revolution to bring it about.
-
yes if govt. doesn't over regulate and doesn't give any more costly stimulas plans

I think not right away. It will take some time.
