Title: What are your thoughts on pole dancing?
Post by: BK_Adores_Chase on December 21, 2011, 09:43:24 am
Either professional or for working out or for fun for you and your man.  I have been to a strip club before and I don't think there's anything wrong -- those girls look confident and sexy...I personally wouldn't do it for my job but sometimes I dance at home, I think it's fun!

I think it is fun too. To watch anyway.  For me, I would probably break my neck just trying it.

I have no opinion.  I can't dance and have no rhythm so I wouldn't be a good pole dancer.

I think it would be great exercise, but be careful to mount the pole where it will not topple over.  I've seen videos of people hurt on Utube trying to pole dance.  It can be dangerous for neck injuries, so take lessons and be careful, but have fun.

Pole dancing~ Now that would be an exciting adventure for me to take on. I would accept the challenge~ only at home for entertaining my husband of course, not for a professional job or for entertaining a strip club....lol.  :P

I'd like to try it out, both for exercise purposes and for my man.   ;)  There's a place that offers classes for it near me and I always debate going in there.  Maybe i'll get the courage to one day.  hehe

Oh it should be an Olympic sport :o
There are some amazing routines out there. Just look up some contests, they are sooo cool.

For example, this one:
http://youtu.be/waIuhfoTMv8 (http://youtu.be/waIuhfoTMv8)

Around 3:20 is a real *gasp* moment, like, gravity who needs it? lol

yeah when I feel sexy it just puts me in a good mood

Don't ask me to pole dance. I think a guy doing it would just look so wrong.lol.

I am not very good at it but sometimes my boyfriend will say "like this" and do a move haha trying to be funny but in my head I'm like whoah, he's pretty good haha but he's a lot stronger than me I have to work on my upper body strength big time.

I'd like to try it out, both for exercise purposes and for my man.   ;)  There's a place that offers classes for it near me and I always debate going in there.  Maybe i'll get the courage to one day.  hehe

I've always wanted to go to a class, I don't have money for it right now but when I do I am going to look into it.

My fiance says that I look like I'm thinking about it too much, and I don't mean to sometimes it's like hmm I feel like I do all the same moves but I'm always really good at it if I get a couple of drinks in me haha

My thoughts on pole dancing is that I think that it is good for exercising and entertaining for your man; plus just having fun with it. And it gives you a chance to learn/experience something new. I have always wanted to try it ever since I seen the commercial for flirty girl fitness, I would only use it for exercise and to learn some new moves for my man, also to show my sexy side.

Use your legs and thighs more.  That's where your best muscles are to perform on poles.  The arms are usually mainly to push out on and not meant to hold your weight.  Also let the slide down vary how much you can perform.  Longer slide, more actions.  Be careful and watch out for any slips that could hurt your neck.

I think that pole dancing is fine.  My wife took a few classes because she heard of the health/athletic/toning benefits that come with the fun of dancing and said that it was one of the hardest physical fitness tasks that she has ever encountered.  She is no run-of-the-mill athlete either! Semi-professional tennis, has done a half marathon, and works out every day!  She said that she has a new found respect for the girls who dance for a living!  I have taken single clients to dance bars before and appreciated the dancers but mostly for their beauty and athletic prowess.

i don't ever want to see someone personally do it, but if that's what they got to do it to survive then whatever. but i wouldn't mind doing it myself for exercise ..

It definatly is not as easy as it looks. Id like to try it for the fitness I've been trying to get in shape, I've had 2 babies pretty much back to back. And I used to model befor I had them and I'm tryin to get back into it... this would be a great way to stay fit on top of my gym workouts!! ;D

I don't differentiate a whole lot between Poles dancing and Germans, Swedes, Belgians or Danes dancing; as long as they have some rhythm.

A group of us went to a strip club a few months ago and one of the dancers put on a pole dancing show... She'd do tumbles off the pole, backwards cartwheel catching the pole mid-spin, etc. Very entertaining -- almost like a gymnastic show. Needless to say, I think she got more tips from her good show than from showing her goodies.

On America's Got Talent, this year, there were a few pole dancers (one was a man) and they also brought in Cirque du Soleil and they had a few pole dancers too. I think more and more people are recognizing this as a legitimate form of dancing / gymnastics that takes a lot of skill, strength, and coordination. I think it has a stigma from being in strip clubs, but you don't necessarily need to undress in order to have a beautiful routine. I really wouldn't be surprised if it did become a part of gymnastic events: instead of the horizontal bars, they could call it the vertical bars.

I believe if you can make a dime at something, whom am I to judge?  overall pole dancers have an income, I realize they aren't paying their full worth of taxes but why judge them harsher than the college waitress?  I don't think I could do it myself, mainly because of lack of body strength.  Plus I'd def want to invest in a fabulous wig.

There are worse choices for a job.
As long as they're protected from grabby hands.
Some enjoy the job, getting people to look at them, helps the self esteem.
If can look pretty damned good as well.

I know that i could never do pole dancing it look more like you are doing some type ofbody toning. For me i would rather stick with two dancing weather it's slow or a fast dance you get the same affect. You can always dance like you dont care.

If he wants to go, tell him not without you.   That will open his eyes.  It's normal for the 19 to 30 year old to want to watch, even if married. That doesn't make it right...it's just reality and hormones.  Once he knows you are tuned in to his needs, you take control.  Pole dancing is healthy, doesn't have to be nude, and provides a lot of great exercise.

I think it should be done in private. Also women should do this for their men and perhaps they would not seek it elsewhere. I'm not saying everyone can pole dance , but most can do dancing sexually for our mates!
