Title: What do you think of Beyonce's & Jayz's daughters name?

BQ1 - If you haven't had kids yet, what are you thinking about naming your child?

She won't be and won't want to be. Good for them for naming her something that is meaningful to them and not like everyone else. They've started her right out with individuality. After all, neither of her parents has a commonly heard name. :)

i think blue is a cool name, actually. makes me think of
calm, smooth, and serene like the color. ivy is a little
more sharp around the edges. it's a nice contrast, i think.

As far as celebrity baby names go, it's definitely not the worst. :peace: :thumbsup:

Seems like people want "unique".

To me, it seems that the trend is "the stranger, the better."

Even common names are being spelled "uniquely".

LOL true it does seem like they're competing, but they actually confirmed the name and jay-z made a song about the birth of the child.

Post by: yaayme on January 10, 2012, 12:47:04 pm: I was surprised when I heard they named their baby Blue Ivy...and what makes it extra stupid is that they spelled it with an "E" like the color blue, but I think they added an "E" to make the name 4 letters, cause they're both obsessed with the number 4...That's also why they added the "Ivy" after the Roman numeral 4 (IV+y=Ivy).

it seems to me that they could have come up with something better than that for a little girl but who am i to say anything its their kid after all.
