Title: Rewards for Attempting Surveys
Post by: bostonphil on January 16, 2012, 01:20:44 pm
This has probably been suggested many times over but I do not remember ever seeing this suggestion.

Is there any way to reward members for attempting a survey even when they do not qualify? Even a penny or two?

i have never qualified for a Fusion Cash survey and have mostly given up trying. One can spend a lot of time trying to qualify for a survey before getting the message that they do not. I might be more willing to keep trying if I knew that i would be compensated, even a small amount, for trying.

Not a bad idea.  I totally agree that it can take some time trying to even qualify for the surveys being offered.  Lately for whatever reason the "MyThoughtsCount" surveys has been asking what my race one scrreen after the next.  Right after I answer it -- the next screen asks the same exact question.  I'm not really complaining but it just seems odd since I haven't really in the past had the same question being asked in consecutive screens.

I've been thinking this since I started taking surveys. You end up giving a good bit of info just for the chance to qualify.
I've run into that repeat question thing also. In fact, I'm more surprised when I don't get a repeat. Makes me think I'm "qualifying" to more than what's presented or whatever.

I agree - it is very frustrating when you spend alot of time answering questions over and over only to hear you dont qualify. Seems that I get to the race part of qualification and I'm denied. I also find that if I dont work in the catagories that they supply I'm also denied, when if I was working in those catagories I would be making enough money where I wouldn't need to depend on income made with the online surveys.

Actually, it is usually just the opposite for me. I work in market research. I always answer "yes" honestly when asked. Then it is over for me.  I do not qualify, :dontknow:

I hate it when I'm supposedly "qualifying" for a survey, but yet I'm answering all these questions like it's a regular survey, then two minutes later I get the message "Sorry, you didn't qualify for this survey". I totally agree with the rewards for attempting a survey. It's not our faults that we don't qualify! But at least we tried! Even just a few cents would do!

I'm still new at this but I agree.  Your time is still valuable and filling out these surveys and not qualifying is a bit annoying if you're not getting anything at all!  I'd be happy with .05 cents.

Today is the first time I did a survey and luckily I qualified. I didn't know that you don't get paid for not qualifying. Thanks for the heads up and I agree that we should get something for taking the time to fill out the first part even if we don't qualify for the second part. Also, the personal FC surveys that we have to take for the bonus should better match us to surveys that we qualify for.

By the way, is it always required to give your race before a survey?

I think it is because they say they are trying to represent a certain portion of the population in the surveys so it would be an area they apparently have included. I think they should leave this out of surveys myself but thats my opinion.

It can be annoying the time spent trying to qualify.  Especially since some surverys will qualify you, then send you to a link that tries to qualify you again and might not be able to.  However, the financial rewards are given to us when we complete a survey because that's how FC gets paid---by completed surveys.  They don't make any money when we don't qualify, thus we don't get any credits.  If you think about it, I'd rather get paid for what I qualify for than risk losing any option for gaining funds.

I used to work for market research company.  They have certain quotas in different parts of the country, race, age group and so forth.  Once the quota is met than they really cannot accept any more or it would make the research inaccurate.  But it does help to get a few cents just for trying.

The only surveys that I have ever qualified for on FC are from the Survey Head offer and now the new FC Surveys. I really like the new set up for the FC Surveys. It seems like it is a lot easier to qualify for a survey now. FC even has the option to get an e-mail when there is a new FC survey to take. I do like the idea of getting some sort of credit for attempting the survey, but I think that will not happen due to the fact that FC only pays us when they get paid from the research company. Sigh.......It is a great idea though.

I agree it is very frustrating to get through the mid way point, answer repetitive questions only to be turned away.  I am new and haven't had much issues with this yet, but I don't look forward to it.

I agree that getting some sort of compensation for even trying to qualify for a survey would be nice.  I have tried before on here a few times and just get frustrated.  I have run into the same problem on other sites but most of the time they have already pin pointed the survey being a good fit for me.

I'm part of another site that offers .01 cent for every survey you don't qualify for. But you're only able to get up to .05 cents a day for not qualifying. I think this would be a good feature to add to fusion cash as it seems to be working fine on the other site i use.

What about the new surveys that FC just completed the new software for, have you attempted those?  Every since they made that new software for the surveys that are more related to you and higher paying, I've noticed that I am qualifying much more for the surveys now.

A cent or two for attempting a survey?  Sign me up!  It's a completely feasible proposition should FC want to do it.  Know of at least one other site that compensates members for a survey attempt so it can be done.

Good idea but neither fusion cash or any other survey giver i have known will  reward your for attempting a survey. yet you are so right they should give up a nickle or something for the time you put into, only to be told that you do not qualify.

It would be nice, like .10 for clicking and your efforts. You would definitely have more survey attempts if people clicking knew they would get something for their efforts when disqualified after spending so much time and efforts.

I think that would be fair. People do put in time for these surveys and to spend 15 to 20 minutes prequalifying is insane sometimes. Its worth it when you qualify of course, but to lose out time each time...its kind of discouraging. It makes me think a bit different than the survey sites that are better, Just saying :-X

???  Funny thing happened to me yesterday. I received an FC email to try a $2.10 survey for smokers. I clicked the link and proceeded to fill out the qualifying questions including some about smoking. The 'next' screen took me to Sampilicious where I was asked if I wanted to join a discussion group about computer technology. I didn't b/c I am not interested in it much.
Boggles my mind how it could go from smoking to computer tech. Nevertheless it was odd.

I've had this happen too -- the total "bait and switch" thing.  The other day I clicked on one of the Fusion Cash surveys on the offers page; it stated that it was a survey about cable television services.  However, when I got into the survey, they asked me all kinds of questions (20 minutes worth for the love of gawd!!!) about financial products, insurance, and health care!  After that much time (and it was NOT just demographics), I felt I should've been compensated.  Then, of course, it disqualified me.

It's extremely frustrating to spend that much time, especially when I could easily spend that same 20 minutes elsewhere doing a real survey that lets me finish and PAYS me.  In this case, their questions had nothing whatsoever to do with the indicated topic.  It seems to me that they got the answers they wanted, in a back-door way, and got out of having to pay for it because they misrepresented the survey in the first place.  A total ripoff, in my not-so-humble opinion.

All this makes me not want to bother wasting my time with the surveys here in the first place.  There are so many other sites that give you credit for at least trying -- and pay far more per survey than what FC does.

I agree some kind of reward would be nice for attempting a survey. I can understand why not though. FC would probably have to negotiate with survey providers to make that happen. Getting most all the way through a survey and then no credit is very discouraging.

I agree that it can get frustrating at times to the point that one simply stops doing any surveys at all. But to me this doesn't seem to be an issue with fusion cash but more of a problem with the way some of the surveys are made. I am pretty certain that they can make surveys in a manner that identifies if you qualify faster. But I always think that it is their way of collecting info from you with out paying you.

I understand why they don't. I wish they could somehow set up to where you could at least get something for attempting a certain survey. I know sometimes I'll be taking a 20 min survey and when I'm at the end it says I'm not qualified to finish it.
Title: Re: Rewards for Attempting Surveys

Maybe they should do like a survey point type thing where if you don't qualify but you took time to do it you get a point. Then when u rack up so many points they give you 5 cents or something. You know that way your times not wasted but then they aren't just throwing away money either, I guess kinda like a bonus type deal lol that would be cool! But oh, well Love fusion Cash anyways!! Love the fact they DO give straight cash instead of points lol just a thought ONLY for nonqualifying surveys lol

dont know if your aware, toluna one of the survey sites for fusioncash you get paid for all surveys you attempt. 15 pts and up to qualify, and surveys vary. i hope this helps.

they go by a point system, that can be exchanged for cash.
i also hope this doesnt violate any tos, because it is a survey site fusioncash sponsors.

I like this idea of getting a small reward for not qualifying for a survey, because some of these qualifying questions are like taking a long survey, just to maybe be able to qualify for that survey, but you end wasting a lot of time and did not get nothing out of it when you didn't qualify.

That would have to come from the surveys that post to fusioncash I believe, but if someone would kick in 2 to 5 cents just for attempts on surveys it would be nice. Even 10 cent would be nice.

Did we ever get someone from FC to ever weigh in on this?  I post quite awhile ago on this thread and just quickly scanned through but didn't see a response.  Or did I miss one?

I know right, it would be nice to get credit for trying. Often times I do get discourage because you work 1 minutes through a survey only to be told that u don't qualify. I still try to do at least two and then after that I just do the daily tasks and the paid emails. I have trying everything else because I never qualify

Yes, taking surveys can be frustrating at times and I used to give up on them, but then I realized that if I'm going to meet my goal of $100 a month, I have to take the surveys. I keep trying because eventually I'll get qualified to take one. The money from the surveys really add up.

I definitely agree with you. When I first started I tried to do one survey a day and had pretty good luck getting qualified. After a while I just couldn't seem to qualify for any and just gave up. But I just attempted it again and finished one pretty quickly. So I definitely believe you should keep trying from time to time.

Do you keep trying to qualify? When I don't qualify I would check back later in the day. Please don't give up on the surveys, keep trying.

Don't give up on surveys I agree.  I did about 40 of them last month.  Keep trying and you will qualify.

So is anyone aware if they are going to start paying something...anything for filling out info that takes awhile and then tells you that you dont qualify?

I think they should pay something. Sometimes you be 5 mins into it and then you find out you don't qualify. Its gets me frustrated :BangHead:.

I think they have to do all that to find out if you qualify for the survey.

You get a "penny for your thought" if you get qualified- they need to ask you all those questions to make sure you are actually paying attention and to see if you are the type of person they need.

Yes I am aware of it and I think everyone is as well. I know its frustrating to get all the way to the end and then they tell you u don't qualify, I hate it with a passion but they are paying you something. For all the new people here they never paid for this it was your in you get paid you r out nothing. I think this is a great thing they are doing. Its better than nothing at all.
