i love to cook so i do but also love going out for dinner but most of the time we go out for dinner twice a month

I have a bad habit of eating out too often because it's just more convenient, but I do love home cooked meals.

Hello,
My mom is the best cook. I would much rather have her cooking than waste time and money eating out. Have a great weekend!
-
Eating out is nice but it's best not to make a habit out of it. I enjoy cooking at home, plus for my household it's better because I can manage how I prepare things and how much everyone eats. I have a very large family, so I know how difficult it is to prepare food for many people, sometimes easy is not healthy but I made some changes to improve on our eating habits. I switched all enriched foods with whole grains and dairy products to low fat. I also introduced more green vegetables.
-
Sometimes when it's ony 1 or 2 people it's cheaper to eat out. It might not be healthier tho? :crybaby2:

we rarely eat out anymore because of expense and quality. Today, however, we did eat breakfast out and are going to use our restaurant gift cards for dinner tonight. I can make a much better egg mcmuffin at home. I get my english muffin, an egg, some cheese and bacon or sausage and it rocks! If there's no meat...that's okay too! :angel12:

I'm trying to decide whether to go out in the rain to a prime rib dinner tonight. I've been fighting off a cold all week and haven't been out around people so I'm getting a little stir crazy. I suppose I'll go just so I don't have to fix something for myself. I've got two hours to decide. We'll see how comfortable I get in that time. :dontknow: :dontknow:

I can't afford to eat out but once in a while and its usually fast food or all you can eat places. I go out for a nice dinner once a year for my anniversary. My son told me when he gets his taxes back he is going to take me and my husband out to a good dinner, so I can't wait. We eat a lot of pasta and chicken at home. Everything has gotten so high. Crap I thought by now I would be set in life with owning my home which my parents lied to me so i stil rent, I can't work anymore due to work injuries so now we live off my husbands SSI which they take $41 out every month because I went to college and got a grant for the year and because they paid me all in one month so he was not intitled to a check.

cook, definitely! my family goes out to eat at an actual sitdown restaurant about 5 times a year, birthdays and anniversarys. occasionally we'll order pizza or grab a burger from somewhere, but no more than twice a month. most of the time we have home-cooked family meals, especially dinner where all 4 of us (me, husband, and 2kids) can get into the kitchen and make something together :)
-
I'm a good cook and I know what's in my food when I cook so I prefer to cook my own meals. Besides it's too expensive and time consuming to eat out. I also don't have a car so... :)

Eating out is nice sometimes, and less fuss than cooking and cleaning dishes afterwards. I use our credit card for all purchases and pay the charge off immediately, so I don't get any finance charges. Then I take those points earned for using it to get free $50 gift certificates for nice restaurants. I average a free $50 gift certificate about every 3 months. It's a nice night out.

Cook as much as possible. Eating out is too expensive.
-
Cook during the week and spend a little and go out on the weekends
-
My family rotates the cooking responsibilities throughout the week, but we make a habit of going at least once during the weekend as they always feel like a treat.
-
I like to cook just because it ends up costing a lot less.
-
COooking is the way to go to save some mulah, but eating out would be less lonely because you can hang out with your friends!
-
Eating out all the time can get expensive and sometimes the food do not be all that good, so it just feels good to have a nice healthy home cooked meal at home than it is to eating out every week...I only eat out maybe like twice a week. Plus it is more healthier to eat at home.
-
eating out is expensive but i some times like to be waited on AND HAVE THE DISHES done i remember we went to olive garden and for 8 people it was 173.00 no one got steak or drinks just to expensive

As the cook in the house, I don't mind doing it every night, but sometimes I am just too exhausted to cook after running around with the kids all day. However, we are on a pretty tight budget since I'm not working so we really don't eat out that often. It's mostly fast food or some sort of take out if we do. On those very rare occasions when my husband and I get a night to ourselves then we can indulge at a restaurant since it is way too much of a hassle to bring my kids to one. They do not have the patience to sit there quietly and wait for food yet so it becomes more stressful than enjoyable and not worth the money.

We eat at home most of the time. My husband and I like to go out to eat as our "date night".
We also will order in pizza when we have a lazy night.
-
My family mostly cook at home but I do enjoy eating out. We eat out mayby 2 or 3 times a month. Eating out can be expensive if you are trying to cut back but sometimes I just dont cook or want to get out of the house with family. I do not mind cooking and would love to cook everyday but I do not know what to cook or how to cook it.

i love to cook so i do but also love going out for dinner but most of the time we go out for dinner twice a month
Oh, I love to go out to eat, but it's getting rather expensive lately and I have become so lazy for some reason! Haha!
Well, anyways I usually cook about 5 times a week and my family eats out on the weekends about 2-3 times. I have been looking for some recipes online to do, like easy ones or ones to do with cooking with a crock-pot. The only thing that bothers me there is sometimes you need a whole bunch of ingredients and it costs a fortune just to get all of them!
But on the other hand the recipes are so delicious. I recently made a chili cornbread recipe from Jiffy and it was so good and only required 5 ingredients which only cost me about $4.....can't go wrong there.
I am really trying to get my family and I to not eat out so much so we can save money......it is one difficult feat to hover over....HaHa! :P

I rather cook

I prefer to eat at home because it is so much cheaper.
-
It is a lot cheaper to eat at home so going out for food is pretty special. About once a month or so if that.
-
I normally cook my meals unless there is something I am craving that i can not make.
-
i cook myself and it's cheaper that way too
-
I eat at home during the week and eat out once on the weekends. I try to eat healthier during the week and then enjoy eating out the one time.
-
I cook now . Its cheaper and sometimes just as adventuresome.
-
Giggidy..... ;) I Def love to cook though
-
I cook at home all the time. Once in a while I go out to eat. My boyfriend complains about us eating out when we do. As for some of you who may not know how to cook or get recipes you can finf it right here in the .15 cent daily offer just look look on the left and you'll see recipes....click it!
-
I cook at home most of the time, but do enjoy going out to eat when the opportunity arises.
-
Since I have been laid off (My husband is disabled), we are too broke to pay attention....much less to eat out! (I know corny joke...but you have to keep laughing or you will cry!) Luckily I am a really excellent cook. The last time we got to eat out was when we were out of town to a wedding last September. Oh well, think positive....I am a really excellent cook and things are going to be looking up. Also, we have friends over for a dinner for entertainment, much cheaper and more relaxing than going out to a restaurant (most of the time anyway).

I love to cook, it makes my home smell good and saves me money.
-
I LOVE to cook but eating out is such a nice little treat.
-
Cook. Cheaper, I trust the food and sometimes there's even leftovers!
-
There is nothing I love more than a home cooked meal but sometimes the convenience of grabbing something when out is nice.
-
I prefer to cook because like that I know what my kids are eating. A home cooked meal is way healthier than eating out and it's much cheaper.
-
Eating out from time to time is nice. I would say that cooking is more worth it though. It's more cost effective and can be much more enjoyable. Plus you might have left overs!
-
I love to eat out. It tastes so much better when someone else does the cooking! But I haven't been able to find a job in over a year so I
don't get to go out to eat!
-
If i can afford it i would rather eat out, but not all the time, because it can be unhealthy!
-
Since my cooking isn't exactly the greatest, I would say eat out.
-
Who can afford to eat out? Cooking in is much less expensive and it better for us too...
-
I cook 95% of the time.
-
would love to eat out more often, but with a family of four..it really is cheaper to just go ahead and cook at home.
-
I love to cook and cook most of our meals. On the weekends my husband tries to give me a break by ordering in so we can both relax. Since he and I are both gamers we both get to enjoy playing together and let someone else cook for a change lol!
-
I don't mind cooking but I don't like to clean up so I like to eat out. Unfortunately I can't afford to eat out very often though :sad1:
-
I like cooking at home because I get to choose the ingredients. That being said, I also like going out to a nice restaurant and eating a good meal. (I'm a foodie!)
-
eat out is expensive but when you cook you save a lot of money. I usually eat out on special occasions like birthdays etc. also if you wanna stay healthy or eat healthy your better of cooking so that you know exactly what you are eating
-
I prefer to cook, but sometimes I get fastfood, but I'd rather cook my own meals.
-
I hate, hate cooking, but I seldom eat out so I usually cook enough to last for a few days. Or I buy frozen foods that I like.
-
I rarely cook, but I would rather do that than eat out.
-
I love too cook, but eating out is treat once in a while. But with what it cost i can usually feed the family for a week with what it cost to eat out and a lot of times it is better and better for us.
-
I enjoy eating out more most of the time because it's so conveinent. I'm trying to get into cooking more though.
-
I say neither one: dine in with carry out. Of course you could cook out and eat at the same time--that's the benefit of being the BBQ king. I'm pretty lazy though, so I usually either eat out, dine in with carry out, or nuke a meal.
