Title: paypal
Post by: SmartyTru on January 31, 2012, 08:27:42 pm
Does using Paypal really take as long as getting a check in the mail?

I receive PayPal payouts on or before the 20th every time. I don't see how a check could arrive any faster. What has your experience been ?

I used to get checks around the 22nd or 23rd depending on the weekends/holidays. Paypal I usually get on the 20th or a couple days before.

Hi SmartyTru,

FusionCash dispurses payments on or before the 20th of the month AFTER you Cashout.

You should receive your Cashout to Paypal a few days earlier than someone who opts to receive their cashout via a check in the mail.

Cashouts to electronic payment methods (Paypal) take 1-5 business days to post; whereas, cashouts paid via paper check take 2-10 business days.

Don't misunderstand I am not complaining I was just under the impression that using Pay Pal would cash me out much faster (like 3-5 business days)

I just receive a paper check. I think its much better. At least you know that you will get all of your money and not get charged a fee. I tried using the greendot and they did that to me. So I just stick with the mail.

You don't get charged a fee for using paypal and you receive all your money. I get any money I get from survey sites to my paypal account and I can use it online or have it transferred to my bank account within a day or so. It's much less hassle than having to wait for a check in the mail then deposit or cash it

FCsets it up to where they start sending out payments on or around the 20th of each month. For example, if you cashout in Feb. then you should expect to get paid around the 20th of March. REgardless of how you choose to receive your money( paypal, direct deposit, or check) all cashouts will be processed around the same time but you may get it a few days quicker if you choose paypal.

Hey whenever I get it, it spends just the same. I use PayPal too, but mostly because I can turn around and spend it online easier.

The next step is to apply for a free PayPal debit card.

Generally PayPal and Direct Deposit post right around the 20th.  Checks are cut and mailed on the 19th or 20th and then take a few days to arrive via USPS.

If you're cashing out to PayPal and then transferring it to your bank account, consider cutting out the middleman and setting up Direct Deposit.  If your end goal is to have the cash in your bank account then Direct Deposit is bar none the fastest way to get your cash, every time!

Since I have a free PayPal debit card, it's a toss up. Once the money is in my PayPal account, I can withdraw it from any ATM or spend it anywhere that takes Mastercard (online or offline). Having it in my bank account is no big advantage.

I agree, I got the free debit card from paypal and can use it online or at any store. Then it keeps my online earnings separate from other money and with Paypal, I can print a report on all my deposits so can see what I have earned there.

Paypal is a great banking system.
Transfers only take a couple days.

Paypal is definitely faster and depending on what I might want to spend the funds on, sometimes I just leave it there for an upcoming purchase from a vendor I know will accept Paypal. If not, then I just transfer it over to my bank account and it done, depending on when it hits the paypal account, sometimes I have it in my bank before I even see people posting that they just got their check. I have used paypal for an auction site for years and they are good, except sometimes when you make a purchase and you hope they will go to bat for you, not so good on that score, but good from my experience with FC payments to me.

Paypal is the fastest and most convenient method of payment.  As a matter of fact, you will sometimes recieve your payment a few days early!

I LOVE pay pal!!  It is like having a savings account you never miss!  I did not know you could use the paypal debit card without having to transfer money to it!  That sounds cool; but, I would probably spend it faster!  When it takes a day or two to transfer it to the bank it seems to make me think about it a little more!   :dontknow:

There are lots of ways to get referrals on past posts in this forum if you do a search, but the one I like best is using YouTube. There is more traffic there for free than most places I know of.

paypal is the way to go, although I like alert pay also.  Direct deposit might be the best choice but not everyone has a
bank account

I like to use paypal because I tend to use this cash for fun money.  A lot of sites online accept paypal as a payment method.  Just think if you buy stuff online you don't have to worry about the money coming from your account or paycheck or money for your bills.

Hey ajami, did you just start using Paypal or have you been using it? I know someone had the same thing last month b/c they had just started their Paypal account and did not verify their email address for the account, so their deposit was pending until they verified their email address with Paypal. I never checked back to see if the issue was resolved, but that's all I know.

You Welcome. If you run into any problems or have any questions just let me know. Cuz I know I did mine wrong the first time, but finally figured it out.  :) Shouldn't be too hard though. I'm still waiting for the credit, but it says it takes 2-6 weeks.

Not if you have a free PayPal debit card, then it's ready to spend as soon as it hits your account, or withdraw cash at any ATM.

However, since it's free they should cure that problem sooner, rather than later.
Otherwise they can't complain.  :BangHead:

Strangely, Paypal doesn't automatically approve such requests for a free debit card, (my retired friend tried using his Paypal account and was denied one without explanation - something along the lines of 'a debit card cannot be issued to you at this time').  My comment was intended as pointing out that a Paypal debit card may not be viable in some instances.

Not knowing your friends situation, obviously I can't comment on that. If I were to venture a guess, it would be that it relates to their activity on PayPal or the balance they carry. I would think it worthwhile to ponder and take the remedial action necessary to repair it. I have had mine for years and use it constantly.

if your gonna use the money for online shopping and online payments paypal is a great way but if you going for cash to spend or use for offline things your better going with direct deposit cause even if you get a paypal debit card they cahrge you a $1 to withdraw money(thats at their recommend ATMS) and a fee if you use it at stores. But if if you like you can go for a check but i use direct after i got my 1st check!!

I've used PayPal for years and have been very happy with it.  I have a couple of subscription payments that are processed through PayPal and I have been having to fund my PayPal account with money from my bank account.  I was continually have to send new money to cover my expenditures, but now that I'm making money at Fusion Cash, I don't have to fund my account as often.  My goal is to never have to fund from my bank account again.  Wouldn't that be great! I, too, was not aware that they had a debit card, but right now it's like my own private online bank that I use for Internet only. I really don't need the debit card until I start making bigger bucks.
