Title: Survey payment revoked again
Post by: deathx88 on March 14, 2012, 01:09:00 pm
This is the second time this has happened, and it was a pretty decent chunk of money too.

FC Survey: Beer Survey (February)    2012-02-27    $3.30    Denied

I don't understand why this happens almost a month later. I'm starting not to trust the surveys as it could just be revoked next month. Why even bother crediting me in the first place only to give my hopes up and have my money denied. It's a shame too, i was planning on breaking my cash out record this month.

I had a survery revoked to today.  Not as big as yours but, it was over a month ago I did the survery.  Kinda bummed because I rarely qualify for them.  :(

I have had, once or twice, the revoked message but it was a survey that I didn't qualify for in the first place.  It seems that it was added to my account some weeks later and revoked an hour after added with an email notification sent detailing it was revoked.

So with survey credits, we have two options:
1) Delayed credit, so you would complete a survey and wait 15-45 days for credit, after which point it would never be denied, or
2) Instant credit, but with a small chance (less than 5%) of being denied later (if the survey company rejects your answers for some reason).

I know that denied credits are frustrating.  It's a loss of money for FC, too.  But it's just the way it goes with these surveys.  MOST members do not have any trouble with denied survey credits, so if you're getting more than one or two reversals it's a good idea to take a look at your survey taking habits: are you speeding through, completing the same survey at multiple sites, etc... these kind of things can end up in denials.

Thanks Admin...this was a very informative and helpful post. It should help people understand some things a little better after reading it,

I got one today too. I have only once qualified for one Fusion Cash survey. I was so excited when I completed it and got credit.  ;D  Today, I got notice that my payment was revoked.  :crybaby2:  That's life. Know that you are not alone.

What admin posted makes a lot of sense--often surveys will have a question in the middle to check if you're really reading through the questions.  Also, it is tempting to go to more than one survey site and take as many surveys as possible, however, many of them are duplicates, and duplicates have to be thrown out or the data is inaccurate.

My snack survey revoked earlier today and it was the first I'd seen of something like that. I was a little annoyed but I think everyone is when that happens. If you took your time and answered honestly there's nothing more you could have done to make it not revoke - it's just an issue on the companies end. Unfortunately when they do that we don't get paid and FC doesn't get paid. D:

I just wish they would tell you why it was revoked. I mean, I do everything they ask. I don't lie about anything or rush through the surveys. I guess it would just be nice to know what happened for them to revoke payment on the surveys.  :dontknow: I guess I better go check my account and see if I got any revoked this month, since it seems like a bunch of people got money taken back.

I don't think it is right that the survey companies take back your money but they have the final say. It is just disappointing when you worked hard to answer the questions truthfully and took your time answering surveys. It would be nice if the survey would tell you what happened.

Surveys are a huge pain because they can deny you for tons of reasons: The survey company can have too many matching your demographic already involved, they can have too many participants versus the amount of money they plan to give per participant, or the company behind THEM scraps the market research altogether because they don't find it useful. However, they also can deny you if they even SENSE that your answers were rushed or insincere.

It's a very fine line to walk, which is why I tend to avoid surveys.

It's odd to me that they have an estimated amount of time that a survey will take - but they don't take me as long if I'm not rating every product they have in their rating pool because they're products I don't use. I wonder if that could be a part of the 'rushing' that they perceive. It seems like a double edged blade, because I'd be lying if I picked all the products they show as things I use when I don't.

I don't mess with surveys too often, mostly because I feel like there should be an easier way to pre-qualify. On most all survey sites they have you fill out a "profile." I wonder what that counts toward.
