Title: Anyone having problems with search credit?
Post by: lindacmt on March 22, 2012, 09:04:24 am
After 3 straight months of getting credit for searches, suddenly getting "not qualified search" for everything. Anybody else having a problem?

I have started getting one not qualified every day it seems. But I also have been getting qualified searches every day. I make about one or two cents searching every day. Are you getting any qualified searches where you earn a penny along with the not qualified searches?  :dontknow:

The automated crediting system froze up on me in mid-Feb after 91 searches. No credit then until March 1 when the system reset. Now I am receiving my five shiny new pennies every day again for normal searches. Every once in a while a search will not register, but the next search bumps the counter up again and crediting resumes. It doesn't appear to be a perfect system. If you're having problems, I would try a couple of normal searches using the FC search bar each day to see if the system is still frozen for you.

Be sure to get serious about your searches on April 1st when the system and counter should reset to zero again. I'm thinking that that's when you'll have the best chance of getting paid regularly again. Just take your time and do normal searches. Good luck!  :peace:

That has happened to me too. I stopped using it for a few days and now it has started giving me credit again.

Good to hear. Congrats! I'm a believer again for now. If it freezes up again, I may change my tune. I'm just fickle, I guess. I only like it when I get paid!  ;D

Once I got to 106 cents for the month, it stopped giving me credit for any further searches. Hopefully it will reset in April. I have not changed my search methods. The only thing that has changed is that EVERYTHING is now considered invalid.

Does anyone know if there is a search maximum per month? I did not see it in the rules but could have overlooked it.

The only search maximum I know of is 20 searches a day for 5 cents (a penny for every 4 searches). So the most we can get paid is 5 cents a day or $1.55 for March. Once you've reached your limit for the day, the message "Maximum Search Rewards Earned" appears next to the search box after a few minutes, right?

Can't say that I have had those issues, usually when I search I get credit for them and I search something everyday. I use the FC toolbar for specific searches. You might want to try opening the pages for a few minutes, and make sure you are actually searching things that make since. Try using phrases, or searching your hobbies, whenever I search things for school I always seem to get credit for it....

I managed to complete 20 searches on April 1 and once I reached 23 searches it stopped accepting them as valid. I thought the system reset overnight?  but I guess it does not, I just tried again on April 3 for number 24, and am still getting invalid search, so not sure why with this, maybe it takes longer than overnight to reset A clear notice would be helpful. I understand when one does them too fast, or like a robot but I do not do that.

I got a reply back from Support about the issue. If the algorithms they use--which reportedly are "sophisticated"--determine that you are not using their search function in a casual way (whether its determination is correct or not!), it will freeze you until the following month. I was using my FC Yahoo search functions as I would have my Google search function. I make a list of things I want information on but don't have time to look up until I get home from work in the evening. But I was penalized with a freeze, so it looks like I'll be using Google for most of my searches now. It's frustrating because they WANT you to use their search function, but when you do, you run the risk of being penalized. Oh well! :BangHead:

Their algorithms are goofy, because my searches have been legit.  In February I earned 90 cents.  March only 33 cents.  I'm up to 10 cents this month, but it keeps freezing as it did at the end of February and middle of March.

I certainly get more not qualified than I do qualified when I try to use it but there seems to be no pattern to being "not qualified search".  I still try off and on but it does make it hard to use this search and earn.
