I have seen too many posts from people who say they can't find referrals, but still they don't have a YouTube account yet. :BangHead:
So I decided to post a step-by-step path for anyone to go from Zero to Hero with YouTube. It's second nature to me, so let me know if you don't get something.
1- Get a fresh Gmail account, if you don't have one you want to use.
2- Logon to Gmail and at the top you should see a black bar, click on the link that says YouTube and get a free account.
3- Upload your personal profile photo of YOURSELF, nothing else, just you. The point is to establish an image to work from. No one cares what you look like, just that you are a real person they can identify with.
4- Fill out your profile information as completely as you can and include a link to your blog (preferrable), or to Fusioncash if you don't have one. (That's another story)
5- Now we need a few videos about YOU, not just sales pitches. You need to get a reputation before sales pitches will work. Yes you can make your own, it's NOT that hard.
6- Use a free copy of Open Office Writer to type up a script for a slide show with one short paragraph for each slide you want to include.
7- Get a free copy of Audacity (search Google for it) and install it. If you don't have a microphone, you can get one on Ebay CHEAP that will work fine.
8- Read through your script a few times until you can do it without sounding like you are reading it. You will notice where you stumble, so change the word or use a contraction (like you're or let's) to make it easy to read. Put some emotion in it, but don't make it sound like a used car salesman.
9- Now use Audacity to record your script. It's simple to use, but there are tons of tutorials on YouTube if you need them. If you mess up, just leave some silence to be able to find it and record the messed up paragraph over. Later go back and delete the bad one.
10- Leave a few seconds of silence at the end, then select it and click Effect, then choose Noise Removal to Set Noise Profile. Then select all (the whole track) and click Noise Removal again to apply it.
11- Select the whole track again and click Effect and choose Bass Boost. Play with this to get a better sound.
12- Now use Open Office Impress to make your slides. Keep it simple and spice it up with some screen shots or clip art you can find free with Google. Again, there are tons of tutorials on YouTube for this too.
13- Get a free copy of HyperCam2 and set it to record the region around your first slide in the slide show with NO SOUND. Then you can listen to your sound track as you follow along on the script and click to advance the slide when each red mark comes up. This makes it simple to synchronize everything.
14- Finally use Windows Movie Maker to import the .wav file Audacity created and the .avi file HyperCam2 created and drag them to the timeline. Now you can save the video to your computer and upload it to YouTube.
15- Now that you know how to do it, go back to step 6 and do it again. (well, maybe tomorrow)
You might have to stumble through a few steps and even ask somebody for help, but this is the most important skill you can learn if you want referrals for anything. Then you will get the bug and move on to even bigger things with videos, just like I did.
Part 2
Once you get your profile looking snappy and have loaded a few videos, you need to get viewers. Pick a NICHE to focus on and make some of your videos around that niche. For example, if I was a stay at home mom, I would make some videos about child care tips. Then go find other stay at home moms that make money online and leave a GENUINE comment on their videos, then subscribe to their channel. Don't try to add the whole universe, just one or two a day (or week) and let it grow. Remember YouTube is a Social Network, not just a video library.
So how would I find those moms? Do a search on YouTube for PTC and I bet you will find tons of them. That's just to give you the idea, pick your own niche and search topic. You can't go wrong as long as you do something.

Getting started is in fact the key. Once you have a video to work on, you can make it better, but if you don't do anything, you will remain the same forever.

But what about referring friends who are not a part of other social/media sites? I have tons of friends whom I work with that don't posess access to these sites but do have a functional email address. I've tried to refer them through FC's referral link but I never received any credit after they were officially accepted. Must I re-invite them using YouTube?

First of all , EVERYONE has access to social media sites, if they want it. I am not saying YouTube is the ONLY way to get referrals, just that a large percentage of the over 800 I have came from there. You can get referrals any way that works for you. Getting credit for them is between you and Fusioncash and not the subject of this forum thread.

Sounds like you need a therapy session. Everyone has a life (no matter how dismal it may seem to them) and people are naturally interested in others. The very fact that you are on here trying to improve your situation is of interest to someone out there.

That of course depends on the video and how well you set up your Channel, but it's free. All I know is I get thousands of views on YouTube and that leads to hundreds of people visiting my websites from there.

I've had no problem getting a decent amount of referrals, but not a single person has ever cashed out. It kind of stinks since I've never made a YouTube video. I suppose I could try, but I wouldn't even know how to get people to watch that either lol.

WOW! That's such great information! Thanks! I thought I knew as much about social media as I could, but this has definitely given me a different take on how I can use it to get people interested and making me a little money. How many is a decent amount of referrals? I have over 800 and 4 cashed out this month, so it takes an OBSCENE amount, not just decent. You also need to realize that it sometimes takes months to cashout for some people, so you can't give up on them. I have had some months with 15 cashouts, which still seems small compared to the 800 who could have.

Now that makes more sense, but you are DEAD WRONG. Meeting someone who is just like them (full time job, need extra money) makes people realize they are not so different. They can identify with your problems and read your solution with real interest, then when they see how you actually started making even a few dollars, they can "Paint Themselves Into The Picture", which is what it takes to get anyone to take action. Pretty soon, you can add in your experience with getting lots of referrals and taking exotic vacations just like I do.
Believe me, when I started on the Internet at the end of 2000, the only advantage I had over you was lots of time. I just retired and was scared to death because I couldn't see how we could possibly enjoy retirement on what Social Security paid us, but I sure didn't want to go get another job. The thing most people overlook is that as little as an extra $300 a month can CHANGE YOUR LIFE!
Once that transformation starts to take place, it feeds on itself and expands at a much faster rate. You can NOT EVEN IMAGINE what that does for you, until it happens. It's still happening to me all the time and I have been doing this stuff for over 11 years now.
So stop sabotaging your future and start exercising with what you have now to get even more, it's really that simple. Just like a body builder didn't start out with six pack abs, you can build your marketing muscle one sit-up at a time. Just Do It!

The only way I do it is "Naturally". There are lots of contrived methods to increase views, but that's all they are is views and what I want is contacts. I do have a training course that I took that helped a lot, but most of it is just common sense. I think it comes down to a quote I once heard, "He who helps the most people, wins the game".

In the meantime, I suppose I could give the YouTube video a whirl. I wish this site was a little more mobile friendly. A few of my referrals don't use a computer, so they signed up, but didn't do anything else really. I never understood why until I tried to do the daily email from my phone and couldn't submit the information since it didn't have a link to click where it normally does on the computer.

Thanks, but there is a method to my madness and it pays off. I love helping people who are struggling just like I was when I started out 11 years ago, but the bottom line is they end up helping me back! What I did for 30 years before I retired 11 years ago was own a computer business that had nothing to do with the Internet. I sold and set up networks for auto dealers to sell cars with all over the country. In fact my head programmer is still selling our software today. It was fun, but very travel intensive, so that's why I love Internet Marketing so much, I am home a lot more.

Just adding the video won't do SQUAT, you need to make sure it presents the right image and then you need to get people to watch it. I have seen plenty of videos on YouTube about Fusioncash that wouldn't convert a desperate housewife that is homebound with nothing to do and has all the time in the world. Somehow you need to emotionally paint them into the picture or they do NOTHING.
The key to the whole thing is let it run for a few months, then if it doesn't get any results CHANGE SOMETHING. Eventually you will discover the combination that works for you, then DO IT AGAIN.
It really is that simple.

Becky I have over 800 referrals and not ONE is a family member, not even a distant cousin. I won't waste my time on family members.

Oh My goodness this is an excellent guide of information and I already have a you tube account. I Did that to promote a previous business venture. If I did not see this I would have totally forgotten that I had this at my disposal. Thanks again Old Buddy You rock! ;)

Let me assure you, when you have an attitude like that, PEOPLE SENSE IT, then you are right about having no hope. You need to change it and you can start by telling yourself you are NO DIFFERENT than I am. I put my pants on one leg at a time just like you do and if I can learn to do this, so can you.

I'm not the best one to ask about that. I am happy with the normal 17 cents a day and posting bonus for the forum, then my referral bonuses make it worth hanging around to cashout.

Maybe I'm missing something in that process then. It takes $25 to cash out in a month, ($15 ofr which must come from offers, the remainder can come from bonuses). The ptc and forum posting, (plus payment proof and some videos too?), add up to about $10/month. Unless you're not cashing out monthly, would your method leave you about $5/month short of the minimum threshold?

I figured it was something along those lines since I'd been unable to hit the threshold twice since joining FC. Have you explored the affiliate process?

The affiliate process means getting referrals and I have done a lot more than explore it. Most of my earnings have come from being an affiliate and earning referral bonuses.

It doesn't even matter how consistent it is, once you get a referral they are yours for life. I have just over 800 and every once in a while one cashes out and I get paid another $5.

True however, not everyone who joins FC is making the same referral income. Still, I suppose you're implicitly saying that there is no specific number of referral required - just get as many as possible?

I've only got one referral, not really out there using all the tools. I still do the daily's, and the 30 posts each month, post payment when applicable. I have gotten the extra $5 any time my referral cashes out. I cash out every other month unless I have time to do surveys, and then it's each month. Referrals can be a good source of extra income if you can build on the numbers that try out fusion cash through you. It's still $1 any time they just sign up and complete the first offer. Can't beat that.

I made a couple of flyers and handed them out at the employment office and
got 4 referrals out of 100 flyers more may come in from that batch. I used postcard
size flyers so that there is four to a sheet and cheap only $2.25 @ 0.9 cents with
regular copier paper.

Actually if they sign up and validate their email address, then complete the first offer it's $3 not $1.
