Possibly. That's not necessarily how global warming works though.
The heating of the Earth's atmosphere causes erratic weather patterns, but it doesn't always mean things will just straight up get HOTTER. For instance, while it was 85 degrees in New England last week, there were snow storms in Arizona. So the summer may be really hot, but it may also be really rainy and mild. A warm summer is expected. Anything BUT warm weather would be more of an indicator of global warming.

The weather is apt to be crazy at best thou I don't believe in global warming as that has been debunked by honest folks stepping forward and saying the data was false. However, I heard that bugs will be worse this year because this winter the ground never froze solid, but stayed soft.

Well-put. Weather patterns are roughly cyclic, (and even roughly 'patterned'); erratic variations can occur at anytime - even within general patterns. Such variations aren't absolutely linked to "global warming" but, are attributable to so many variables that even near-term weather predictions can be off.

Because the bible tells it and even sciencetist have said the bible is true.I was watch I think history channel and they found the ark of noah were the bible said it was on he mountain in turkey

The "bible" is not an accurate source. Which specific 'scientists' "have said the bible is true" and based upon what exact evidence?

Speculations which were never verified as accurate, ("... probably the result of a hoax, perpetrated by ten Kurdish workers hired by the Turkish guide used by the Chinese, who planted large wood beams taken from an old structure near the Black Sea at the cave site ...").

I don't know if it's due to global warming but this winter was pretty non existent and spring has been bypassed...lol Directly to summer like weather.

WE HAVE HAD SUCH A MILD WINTER IN NEW YORK THIS YEAR. I BET WE PAY FOR IT THIS SUMMER. NOT LOOKING FOWARD TO IT EITHER!

Spring hasn't been too bad in Oregon....if you don't count the fact that it didn't really snow till after spring started.. I'm really ready for more blue sky and warmer weather :wave: :wave:

I don't know that this particular year will be hotter because of global warming (there are more far reaching effects than just a hot summer here or there with global warming), but based on the mild winter, I would expect a warmer summer. More bugs is for sure, we just didn't have enough real hard freezes to kill many of them off.

according to the weather channel, we will have above normal temps until late fall.....i dont mind a little heat, but i cant stand to be sweating when i'm not even doing anything :angry7:

Not sure about global warming.But I do think we are gonna have a hotter summer,because we didn't really have a winter

I hope it will be a nicer summer than what we have been experiencing. Lots of clouds and not really warm. I love the sunshine and it does come out a little in the morning but then the clouds come and there goes the sun Also we have to put up with a north wind most of the time, which really cools us down. Sometimes, the wind can change and it will drop 20 degrees in a matter of minutes.

Here in Utah we will. It will also be pretty dry because it didn't snow much this winter.

I don't know if people ae paying attention, but the global warning is serious. This is the first time I have ever known it to be this warm in the state I live in and this was in February-Not natural at all. I believe the Summer weather is going to be all out hot and a *bleep* to reside in.

March had been ridiculously warm and dry (it's supposed to be a wetter month here in CO and no snow??? Not good...) so I have a feeling that we will have a hotter summer this year :o

t seems like the whole nation is in a sevee heat wave. In my job I talk to people all the country and I am hearing that their temperatures are higher than they have ever known them to be. Here in Florida we had virtually no winter, maybe a week of temperatures in the 60's thats it.

It's been hotter than a batch of french fries in boiling vegetable oil here in Iowa... ouch!

It certainly seems that way so far and was my worst fear when it was 75 degrees in March. Yahoo! posted an article recently confirming that it could be do to climate change.

Things are upside down this year. Seems like Florida would be the place to be - It is cooler there than much of the US ::)

I think the earth has cycles that are natural....we're in a warm one.

And chicken little said, "The sky is falling!". As for Global warming well the weather has one constant that I have been able to observe and that it is always in a state of change. Sometimes man influences it but more often than not it is just part of the natural evolution of the planet as it makes it's journey through space. Will this summer be hot? Yes but I would put more stock in the fact that there is greater sunspot activity affecting the global weather patterns over a "Global warming event" In the end mother nature will catch up and balance the scales and we will just have to sit tight and try to find a way to enjoy the ride. Reminds me I need to go get some popsicels.

Its Summer time people! Of course its hot! It has been hotter and dryer long before this "global warming" scare came about. I have to many other things to worry about in life that if it is going to keep getting hotter. What ever is going to happen will and there isn't very much we can do about it if it is Fate. Just saying!

if it gets much hotter i will not be able to stand it, the a/c is already begging for a break, have all ceiling fans on, all regular fans on, and still hot, the air is just thick , hard to breath, :( i want to move to iceland lol

Putting "global warming" aside. We have already had record breaking temps in the month of June/july on the east coast, one of the longest strings of above 95 degree temps in a long time, so if you are asking people on the east coast we are probably 10 degrees above normal so far this summer. I really don't remember a day below 90 degrees since june 20th (when summer began), so to answer your question, unless it goes into the 70's for the next two months, my answer is yes!!

It is kind of hot here right now but not over 80 F and the most it could possibly get is 90 F. I guess that's not that hot

Yeah I do think this summer is hotter/more humid due to the global warming
In my area, the days are usually sunny skies and bright days in the summer 8), but lately the skies are all cloudy and the air is stuffy like an oven :( it even rained a few weeks ago!

Yes, there appears to be more humidity in th afternoon than in the mornings.

No we are going to have a hoter summer due to it being a hoter weather pattern more than likely due to an increase in sunspot activity. If you are really concerned about it being hot please plant a tree.

It's August 19 already and so far this summer we had several days and days in a row of 90 degrees and above here in NYC. I don't mind the summer but its the humidity that gets to me.
