Which of these movies do you think will make more money here in the USA?
-
Dark Knight...No contest...sequel to an awesome, highly grossing movie. Enough said

Although I feel The Avengers will be a fun movie, I'm fairly certain Dark Knight will win at the box office. Mostly because of the immense popularity of that franchise, combined with it being the last in the trilogy of films.

That is a solid toss up. While the Batman franchise is hugely successful, The Avengers cast is top notch and includes a few actors who have already established other very successful superhero/comic movies (Downey Jr. and Evans). Both casts have Oscar winners - Batman has Bale, Coltilard, Caine, Freeman. Avengers has Paltrow and several actors nominated for Oscars (Downey, Renner). Also, Avengers was written and directed by Joss Whedon, who is VERY successful TV writer/creator with Firefly, Buffy, Angel. Batman director Christopher Nolan is world renowned and has also been Oscar nominated.
I think overall, Avengers my squeak ahead by a narrow margin because of it's all-encompasing storyline.

avengers - covers too many heros. batman is awesome, but....

I would go with the dark KNight- it already has a following. Myself,I don't care for it,but I want to see the avengers.

I think Avengers will have a higher opening weekend. Personally, I'm definitely seeing The Dark Rises 1st showing.
-
Dark Knight Rises should win in the box office fairly easily.
-
I bet Dark Knight will win. However, I'm looking forward to the Avengers because my boys are now getting old enough to enjoy those movies and are more interested in the Avengers than Batman.
-
I would think that The Dark Knight Rises will do way better at the box office, but I am more interested in seeing Avengers

I like the Batman series, but I am particularly anticipating a cluster of superheroes together. I am a little more anxious to see how Avengers fare.
-
I don't know about the box office numbers, but I will be seeing them both. Personally, I am looking forward more to the Avengers movie. I grew up on Marvel Comics, though I like some of the DC characters too (like Batman).

Not sure....but I'm more of a follower of Dark Knight than Avengers.....
