Title: PRIVATE AND PRIVALEGE INFORMATION..
Post by: mileeg on April 18, 2012, 04:36:39 am
It will be fair the when you going to a job interview they ask you; for your credit info, and facebook pass word? I did not think is fair..because that is private info...that can be part of discriminations forms....around the credit score....and the password is for private personal use...they want to much control and power of the people life.. :BangHead: :BangHead:

That's information provided on a voluntary basis. If you chose to provide it then ok but they can't force you to do it. I know plenty of people that have a second facebook account for any professional purposes that is easier to find than their personal account.

There is no way I would ever give out that information! Even though my facebook page is tame, it is nobody's business what I do or do not do on facebook. Employers need to realize that many people have a different set of values for work and play. I might be crazy at home or at parties but still believe in being to work on time and have a strong work ethic. Just because there is too much info out there on everyone doesn't mean everyone needs to know it!

I could not care less about the Facebook password deal. There is NO sense in getting upset about your credit being checked because employers/companies have been looking up credit scores and info for decades now. There is nothing illegal about that. If someone wants a job which equates to wanting responsibility, but they have a horrible credit history and score, that indicates they are not responsible with their own finances/lives.

People need to realize that these things are only going to be looked into if you are going for an upper level position, a job with a need for security clearance, etc. This does NOT come into play if you are applying to be a gas station clerk, work at a fast food place, jobs that can be filled by [almost] anyone.
