*bleep* Clark dead today at 82 years old. I still have fond memories of American Bandstand every Saturday when I was a kid. So many musicians have him to thank for the success they have had.
-
I cant believe I get a bleep for that...it's his name for goodness sakes
-
Hey i know who you mean, and yes he helped a lot of young singers get a break and make big. He was an icon to my generation anyway. I grew up with watching him on american bandstand.

Well, you could've said "Richard" since he was born as Richard Wagstaff Clark. ("Wagstaff?", that's a new one)
-
I would've done that but I came to the sudden realization that quite a few people would have no idea whom I was referring to. I'm surprised we didn't get bleeped for Wagstaff...funny :P
-
RIP *bleep*.
-
yes as a kid you watched on saturday morning bandstand and then soul train we had no mtv disco was just starting
-
Rest in :peace: American Bandstand D. Clark.

Good catch, "Wagstaff" was too subtle to be caught by the automated censor program. His parents must have had some sense of humor when naming their son, (imagine if their last name was "Johnson" or, "Weiner").
-
I also remem br the Americna Bandstanad days.

They bleep d
ick, but they don't bleep Mung?
-
Rest in Peace *bleep*

They bleep d
ick, but they don't bleep Mung?
LOL Mung ;D

They bleep d
ick, but they don't bleep Mung?
Yep, not close enough to b
ung I suppose. What's causing me to chuckle about the bleeping is that, (like the late night talkshow with the "unecessary bleeping"), that could be interpreted as a completely different 'curse word' being bleeped out.
-
They bleep d
ick, but they don't bleep Mung?
LOL Mung ;D
"mung":
"The one thing worse than genocide. One must first have no shame. Then he/she must use a newspaper to find the obituary of a recently deceased man or woman. Then must find a buddy, with no shame, who will aid them in this act. The partners then go to the cemetary where they dig up their victim, and flip a coin. The loser, (or winner depending on how sick you are), applies his/her lips to the genitals or anus of the corpse, while the other partner procedes to climb the nearest tombstone and elbow drop the corpse's stomach. Thus forcing out a blend of rich bodily fluids and embalming materials onto the partners. This blend is called mung. The act of getting this blend on your face is called munging. Chicks'll dig this one."

It's an automated censor doing the *bleeping*, I'm just one of those who find that amusing.

Thanks, miss "ajami". No doubt certain assumptions were being made in error regarding the *bleeping* *bleep*.

R.I.P. MR. CLARK! ROCK-N-ROLL!
-
OMG! I thought D. Clark was going to live forever! I think I was in my pre-teens when I first saw him on the tube.
& year after year that I see him, he never changed, He looked the same as the first time I saw him to the present. I wondered if he had some secret cryogenic youth lab in his house to restore old & dying cells. Great now, he's gone & will never get the secrets on staying young looking for ever. RIP Clark, :peace:  :crybaby2:  8) :crybaby2: ;D

R.I.P.

Personally I think Mr. Clark would have gotten a good laugh out of getting bleeped; he had the reputation for being so wholesome and positive.
There's no doubt he had a huge impact on rock and roll programming and on entertainment programming in general. I admire his business smarts and also have real affection for the man. He will be missed. :angel12:

Ya...I grew up with *bleep*. He seemed like a very personable individual. I also remember watching American Bandstand on Saturday mornings. Loved the music, the teenagers and the funky way they danced back then. I still say...
New Years Eve isn't the same without him.
R.I.P. *bleep* and thanks for everything!
-

 *bleep* is deffintly a legend,,can remember watching him when i was younger,,rip *bleep* clark :peace:
-
Bleeped for using Clark's first name? Seriously? Anyway rest in peace Richard Clark! Helping the multitudes...I never heard of anything bad that he was engaged in. No murdered ex-wives, no drug or addiction problems, no extra-marital affairs...seems to have led a pretty, morally-clean lifestyle. I think that he did the New Year's eve Ball-dropping out about two years longer than he should have. His family probably pushed him into that so that they could monoploize on a little more cash. His appearance over the last two years made New Year's celebrations a bit more somber and somewhat sad as you watched him struggle through his stroke-crushed body.
-
I'm going to miss old bleep. He was a really cool dude.
-
Mr. D. Clark also did The Blooper show as well he will be missed goodthing he got to see the Ball drop one lasttime before he died.

For fear of being bleeped, I'll just call him Mr. Clark. New Years will never be the same without the man.
-
sad to hear about *bleep* Clark's passing was part of American entertainment for a long time will be missed.
-
In addition to all the above, I remember listening to his weekly top 40 countdown on the radio. Another icon leaves his mark on this world. RIP D. Clark.
