That means taking everything out, tossing old stuff and washing down the shelves and the sides. It had been quite a while since I did it, and I ended up tossing some things that were way past their "use by" date.

i clean mine out once a month, but probably should do it twice a month

I last cleaned out my fridge about three weeks ago. I try to keep up with it and not let it get yucky. There are so many things to do in the course of a day I can't get to it more than twice a month to clean it well. :)

I try and clean mine out completely twice a month but it don't always work out that way and end up doing it once.

i usually wipe down the fridge the day before going
grocery shopping each month. that's when it's the
easiest, since there's hardly anything in it.

It's been a few years. We were without power for 7 days (ice storm) so everything in the fridge was bad.

The only time I have ever completely cleaned a fridge is when I have moved.

I generally do a full clean up on the refrigerator about once a month. I wipe up in between and if anything spills than a partial full cleaning. But once a month I like to wipe down the shelves, check the dates on things, replace the paper towels in the crispers after washing them out, etc. One thing I want to be sure is that my food is fresh and sitting in a clean place!

I have not have completely cleared the refrigerator since the last time the power went out for an extended period (probably 6 months ago). I end up junking everything and thought of cleaning the shelves while I was at it.

It has been a long time sense I did all that take everything out and wash down the inside.

OH, must have been a while ago. :P My mom does have a habit of trying to keep it relatively empty so that it doesnt get too crowded, but thats about it. :P

I clean mine once a month, but try to do it twice if possible. I usually don't have much in mine, so it don't get very messy or dirty. I just feel better when I clean it with baking soda.

i dont know when but i have been getting things out of the fridge and using things that i know will expire soon.

Last week.... our house if new to us so we are trying to stay on top of things. Let's see how long that lasts.

The last time what when I moved about a year ago. I just clean as needed. If something spills I clean the spill not the whole fridge. I rarely clean the whole fridge at one time unless there is a reason like a really big mess on many shelves.

It's been awhile. I'm afraid of what I might find. I usually make my husband go in first. To get rid of anything with fuzz. :-X

Every two weeks right before grocery shopping and taking inventory to see what I need and what needs to to be tossed

It has been a couple of months. Usually do partial cleaning, and I keep a mental list of things in different places, so I use them up before the expiry date.

Mine gets wiped down every day... And completely cleaned out either before I go shopping.. or when I get home before I put the food away. It has to be clean.... :confused1:
And the handles on the doors... omgosh... those ESPECIALLY.. and the sides of the doors... I swear I clean then and the next time I come out to the kitchen... sticky again... :angry7:
Hubby says my OCD drives him insane... I get so distracted when I find things like this I have to do!!! Then forget what in the world I went into the kitchen for... lol :dontknow:

Great question! IM THE SAME WAY LOL...I tend to clean everything when im stressed out. which seems to be alot more frequent than past years! and when i clean the mr.clean sponges with the magic eraser is the best!! that little sponge sure can remove almost any mark imaginable.

I actually did this over the weekend. We are usually pretty on top of keeping the fridge cleaned up/out. Always a pain trying to figure out how the shelves go back in though. Haha.

I have to get to do that again. I plan on doing that this week. I know there are some things in there that are not good anymore.

Wow like three days ago. No one else in my house likes to do it. You will never here anyone here say oh I cant wait to clean the fridge lol but it has to be done.

I last did that on about the 15th of April, I try to do it everytime we go grocery shopping so it doesn't get gross and start to stink... :thumbsup:

This week. I refused to shopping until everything was made that we already had. Made for some awkward meals.

I try to clean mine out twice a month. I last cleaned it out about a week ago.

I usually try to do a deep clean twice a year. It's due for a cleaning now and I keep putting it off.

Every time I open the door and I see something that is near to expiration date, I throw it away. I do not like old stuff...I like fresh stuff only!

I believe the last time that I actually took everything out of my refrigerator was about 6 months ago. But the reason I did it something spilled and I wanted to get it cleaned up before there was a sticky mess. I usually go through my refrigerator at least once a month just to look at things that have expired but usually don't totally clean it out unless something spills.

I cleaned out my fridge and freezer about 2 weeks ago...I try to clean it out once a week of the nasty food then wipe it down once a month..

Not for a long, long, time. I live with my parents at the present time, so it's hard to clean the fridge when they hoard things in the fridge and get mad when you throw out rotten food. So, I guess it's just a fridge full of rotten food until I cash out enough times... :dontknow:

I replied to this and I had just done it. But I am going to have to do it again this week too since I glass pitcher had a small crack in it and leaked juice everywhere.

The only time I have ever completely cleaned a fridge is when I have moved.
That was the last time we completely cleaned it and threw stuff out.
Every now and then we will throw old stuff out and partially clean it, meaning wiping down stuff.

Two months ago I did a complete cleaning of my refrigerator.

A few weeks ago I removed EVERYTHING and went to town on it. Sometimes goop even gets underneath the bins that hold the fruits and veggies. I got all the bins but one, since it was impossible to get out. The fridge door doesn't moor far enough to get it out. It would take forever to explain, but I think you get it. :P

Wow, some FC members are so good with keeping that old frig. clean. Me, it's been several years. I should clean it up soon but if the lazy bug kicks in I plan to save enough monies to by a new upgraded frig. This old timer has that ugly brown/orange colors from the 70-80's stone age style. Don't care about fashion as long as it works. & this old girl's going.... :crybaby2: :wave:

I toss old the old item all week long and I wipe it down during the week also but a complete cleaning has not been done in about 2 months!

Just cleaned it out 3 days ago. Now it really looks empty.

I can't even remember when I cleaned cleaned out my fridge. I throw stuff out weekly, but haven't deep cleaned it in a while.

Been a very, VERY long time. Haven't had the need to do so in ages. Why? Because my refrigerator is almost always pretty empty. :(

I clean my fridge often. There is always something in there that has expired months or years ago.
