I have ALWAYS been bad with credit cards until I got married! Now my wife pays them all off every month (which is sick... but awesome!) I get a bit of a lecture now and then when I charge to much, but it is great to say that.

I don't have any credit card debt, I avoid all kinds of debt. I use a Discover card because of the cash back bonus. I usually make at least $50 bonus, but I always pay off the balance each month.
-
Too much, but working on not using them now and paying off what we have. We had 2 houses to pay for 6 months and that put us in an ugly hole.
-
Use to have a credit card paid it off and cancelled I don't want another one I have went back to the cash system I prefer to have cash on hand if I can't pay cash I don't need it.

We were fortunate that we never really had credit card debt. We had an Amex that we paid off every month, and we kept one Visa for emergencies like big car repairs or home repairs, but we'd pay that off over 3 or 4 months. We got rid of both of them when we both lost our jobs, but we don't have them anymore. Right now between student loans and the car loan, we've got enough debt.
-
too much here too. We are really trying to get them paid off.

I am waaaaaaaay over 13 years old and have no credit card debt. I pay off any charges every month.

good for you! i'm so proud... :bootyshake: i am the same way...but after my divorce i missed a couple payments

I'm one of those with no credit card debt. My parents were insistent that credit cards were not to be used unless we had the cash to pay for the item. Guess the lesson stuck.
-
I have no credit card debt, technically. I always have a balance each month on my card, but I pay off the statement amount or more as I use it so I'm never charged interest. People tend to shun them, but as long as you control your spending and don't go nuts with them, using them for everyday expenses earns you money if you get one with no annual fee and a good cash back option.

The only one i carry a balance on is the one used for emergeny medical and it is almost paid off. Pay your bills before the fun starts and you will be better off. I know it is tough but it beats being in debt.

I stopped using them. But before I did I would have about a grand.

I paid off my whole $5000 debt last year. It was tough and took some time to do, but it feels great to not have credit card debt. Now I just need to pay off the remainder of this student loan debt :-
-
I have no credit card debt. Never had any problems making the payment every month.
-
Luckily, I don't have any credit card debt. I rarely use my credit card and when I do, I pay it off.
-
I have one card with a $500 limit and I pay off every month.
-
10k that I hope to pay off this year.

I learned the hard way in the beginning that it doesnt pay to have to many credit cards. I have since cleared up the debt and cut up my cards. all i need is my debit card. Being 36 and almost debt free is awesome!
-
Personally, I don't have any because I've never had a credit card and don't want one either. I've been helping my sister take care of her debt because she used her card 2 or 3 times to help me get my car repaired.
-
I don't have credit card debt, but debt in general, I have a whole lot of that! College has put me through the ringer in the financial department and at this point, I've only got three years under my belt and $27,000 in debt.
-
I have to admit, I don't have any college debt, so I guess I am lucky in that. Credit card debt I HAD, but since I have been married I have none. I do have a loan for a home equity though.....

-
None, I eliminated them a while back. Once I got a debit card, I just used that. I have enough on my plate, I don't need to worry about credit card debt too! lol
-
I am much to weak to have a credit card apparently! I charge, and charge, and charge.... it is a sicknes I say!
A SICKNESS! :BangHead:

What I have been reading you guys don't owe much. Thanks to my lovely family I did favors for. I am stuck with a debt of around $25,000 dollars. I'm very good with my own stuff, but I wanted to help family and they didn't return the favor and paid. People don't help with your credit mostly 90% will not pay you back. :( :sad1:

I don't have much credit card debt, and I try to avoid all kinds of debt. I use different cards also because of the cash back bonus. I always pay off the balance each month to avoid unnecessary interest charges.

I try to limit the use of my credit card. I only have one and it is Capital One.

Now that we have no credit card debt, we keep one for emergencies and that's all it will be used for and NO it is not an emergency to go to lunch!
-
We have no credit card debt. We pay off the card when we get the bill.

I have completely stopped using credit cards and worked my butt off to pay off the ones I had. It just made no sense to me to use them, pay interest on the money when I can just be a little more responsible and buy things with my money. I despise debt in just about all it's forms, with the exception being a house/car loan just as long as it's resonable. Credit cards are like snakes, play with them and you get bit. Besides, how else do you think banks are able to build such tall buildings? The interest they make off of credit paid for those buildings. I'd rather have interest work for me, not the other way around.

I have one credit card I am trying to pay off now. These companies makes a bundle of giving you permission to use their cards. These are loan sharks, they just give it a cutesy name.
-
WOW! You guys are sure good. I don't know how many people are here.and nobody has any real debt! THAT is awesome! I am not charging now! I read this and I am jealous! I will now do my best to not charge unless I absolutely have to! Thank you all!
