what first comes to  mind when you hear the word wait ??

If said with as much emphasis as the 5 !s implies (as in the topic title), I'd stop whatever it was I was about to do thinking that there was some hidden danger to me or someone else. I'd probably then first look around to see what the danger may be and then wait and listen to what the person had to say.

...is what i think when i hear ''wait!!!''

however, its usually not as exciting as it sounds, hah.

well, WAIT means to stop .... take in my surroundings and not proceed until everything is clear  :peace:

when I hear wait the first thing that comes to mind is how long will i have to wait

Having just come back from my trivia contest - "wait!" invokes an immediate response to hang up the phone if you are dialing into the phone bank.

When I hear "wait!!!", I think "okay how long?"
