............still have a landline phone? We do but it is unplugged, only reason we have it is because of a package deal.
We dropped our landline about three years ago in favor of cell phones and haven't missed it for an instant.
-
We still have ours, but will likely be getting rid of it soon.
-
We have a landline phone, sort of. Technically it is part of the internet package and not a stand alone phone line from a phone company. We only have it for fax purposes.
-
I still have a landline ...mostly out of convenience. Use it for long distance as I have a bundle package with unlimited usage.
-
I still have a land line, because I still use cordless phone.
-
I still have a land line and so do my parents. I hate talking on a cell phone. I can never seem to keep a good connection and my parents live in an area where you can hardly get a signal. I prefer it over the cell phone.
-
i have a landline and a cell phone the cell phone is off right now due to high cost I like the landline better because when i am out doing things hated the cell phone because you seem to never get a minute to relax and enjoy yourself without it ringing
-
don't use landlines, have my cell, and magic jack :icon_rr:

How do you like Magic Jack?
We have a land line and cell phone. I love my land line, but hate the monthly bill, so I think very soon we will change to something else. Magic Jack is way up on my list to try.
-
haven't had a landline in years just a cell phone haven't missed it for a minute but I'm not a phone person rarely talk on the phone unles I have to
-
I am never giving up my landline phone it's the number I use for everything. My cell phone is private its the phone that is all mine to use and answer as I see fit. I find that there is no reason for people to contact me when I am on the move. I don't need to be distracted by some business selling something or some stupid gossip when I am out I am out taking care of business for my household or taking care of personal things or having fun. I don't want people bothering me. I don't even give out my cell phone number. Landline forever! :peace:
-
I have a cordless phone in my apartment - 3 phone set.
Cell phones are not good for your health....you need protection from the radiation/ EMFs.
Even for cordless phones, it is necessary to put protective shields on. I love to use the speaker feature.
It works so clearly on the Panasonic brand.

I've been using Vonage as my "landline" for years. My dad switched to Magic Jack a couple years ago and loves it. I consider my VOIP my "landline" as it's my main contact number.
I hardly use my cell phone. Mostly have it for emergencies when traveling, as a way for coordinating with members of my traveling party when on the road and using the GPS/internet for directions. Due to a nearby TV tower, my cell reception in my house is horrible - calls constantly drop...although that may just be my provider as friends on other carriers don't have any issues in my home. Planning to switch providers later this year to see if that makes a difference.
Like another poster, I don't feel the need to have people contact me 24x7 - I work in computers and deal with being on-call for work. I have no desire to be "on-call" for my personal life. People can leave a message and I'll call them back at my own convenience.
-
I just have a cell phone, and probably won't ever get a landline. I don't see the sense in having two phone bills. The only way I would get a landline phone would be if I moved to an area that didn't have good cell phone coverage.
-
My parents still have a landline phone.
-
We only have two cell phones now - one we consider our home phone and another my pastor/husband considers his personal phone. We tried phone service through the internet but we did not like because it was always going off line.
-
i still have landline
-
still have a landline here. lot of good it does though, my cell phones works better. Our phone company cant figure out what is wrong.
-
i would love to get rid of my land line but it comes with the internet so im looking for a way just to have internet service.
-
Parents do, but not me!
-
I have a landline phone, but I only pay $29 a year. Voicemail, video-talk, cell phone app and all.
-
I have a landline phone. The landline is easiest for me to use.
-
Yes, and I would really like to get rid of it, but the man of the house wants it even tho we hardly ever use it.
-
I don't have a landline phone an i don't like them after i got my cell phone i don't have to run to the phone every time it rings
-
We dropped our landline last year. It seemed like it was hardly ever used. The majority of our family and friends always call or text us on our cell phones.
-
I have to have the landline for high speed on my computer and it wasn't any less money to drop everything else. I did drop call waiting etc. but I still have a landline phone that rings.
-
I haven't used a landline for several years now. I have Magicjack, however, I'm not able to send/receive fax. I don't hardly use my cell phone either.
-
I turned off my land line over a year ago.
-
I still have it and am not going to give it up. I guess that I am pretty much old school in favor of it. :angel11: :angel11:  :angel11: :angel11:

We still have a landline. My husband refuses to get rid of it, even tho we hardly ever get calls on it. I think it is a waste of money. :dontknow:
-
We do but it isn't really used. My mom doesn't really use a cellphone so it's sorta how we get into contact with her since she's home almost all day.
-

-
Man, we haven't had a landline for years.

-
I still have a landline phone but I am a part of a program where you scan everything you buy and transmt to the survey and earn points. But I have it not connected to the phone, also had to go from sattlelight internet to dial up because of low on funds I am hoping to get caught up in the next three months to get it back.
-
ISNT THAT SO TRUE JUST TO HAVE LAND LINE JUST BECAUSE ITS PART OF A PACKAGE DEAL CRAZY BUT WE ARE PART OF THAT GROUP TOO
-
I still have and use a landline phone at home. I will continue to stick with it until the phone company decides to discontinue providing landline service is the time I will cease using it.
-
We still have ours. we use nettalk: its cheap but still nice voice quality.
-
Not me due, I am in
-
we have a landline and ours is in use and we do use it and people call it too.
-
I use to have a land-line phone with magic jack but now i just have a cellular phone. I believe that land-line phones are not needed as much so know do to the fact different cellular phones are coming out and being updated yearly. There is so much that you can do on a cell phone especially for the young people.
-
I dont, all we have is cellphones
-
can't get cellphone signal. have to use land line.
-
We use cell phone most of the time but still have a landline primarily because we also have internet service through the phone company and without the phone service, the internet would have been more so in the end we were not going to save anything by dropping the land line.
-
I have a landline and plan to keep it. I carry a Tracfone for emergencies and use it to text my brother, but I don't give out the number. I don't like the idea of being available 24/7, everywhere I go.
-
I haven't had a landline for quite a long time. Don't need it for computer as it is wireless. So why pay the extra cost. I can call Alaska from N.M. and have a good clear call. and no chares.
-
still have a landline phone? We do but it is unplugged, only reason we have it is because of a package deal.
I still have a landline phone service because it's also my internet service. I have to go with what's the cheapest these days.
-
I have not had a landline in over four years. We have four cell phones in the house and do not see the need to spend the money every month.
-
We only have cell phones now.Got rid of the landline this past year.No one ever called it.Everyone called the cell phone.
-
I still use a landline today. I don't get the deal with people today with wanting to be as wireless as possible. At least I have 2 phone numbers; one for personal and other for misc business.
-
I don't have a land line anymore. Even my mom got rid of hers, but she doesn't have a cell phone.
-
I don't a landline at home. I was paying a little too much for it. Everytime there was a storm or rain it would messed up. I have to wait for days to get a techinician to come and fix. Now, we use cell phones. For about the same price as a landline I get two cell phones, unlimited calls to all the continental USA and text messaging every month. Now, I think landlines are used for fax machines or for people who dislike cell phones.

I haven't had a landline since I was 16 years old. My mom decided that we didn't need one. I got my cell phone at 18 and haven't even used a landline since! It shocks me to hear a phone ring that doesn't sound like the radio :o
-
We still have a landline. My husband refuses to get rid of it, even tho we hardly ever get calls on it. I think it is a waste of money. :dontknow:
If I could afford internet through cable I would get rid of my landline phone, but until then landline it is lol. :D

Have a landline but no homephone. Just use the cell phone
-
I have not had a landline phone in close to ten years. My parents still have (and use) one.

Still have a land line and I use it more than my cell! I guess that makes me a dinosaur! :bootyshake:
-
We have both, we just got a new landline phone because the recorder SUx on the old one. Me and my husband beat the old phone down "office space" style!!!! :bootyshake:
-
I have a basic land line with an answering machine for local calls and I also have a very simple, basic cell phone. That's enough for me!
-
I don't have a landline because I don't think that I would ever use it since I always give out my cell number.
-
My family still has a land line phone, yes. But I color that by saying it's only because I'm still living at home and my father (being something of a traditionalist) refuses to get rid of it. I simply refuse to answer it - and if I were living on my own I definitely wouldn't bother with one. I only use my cell.
