Cats! We got the two best cats today, so I'm biased, lol.

I love them both dearly. We have 3 dogs and are down to one now. Couple of our others were hit by cars on the street. Broke our hearts. We do feed some of the neighborhood cats too. Cats are easier cause you don't have to walk em and can actually leave them alone for a few days with no problem. Dogs are so loving. I know why they're termed "mans best friend". :cat: :bunny: :wave: :thumbsup:

i love cats have recpect for dogs because i have both but hands down it is cats all the way

I like both cats and dogs. I am pretty much just an animal person and like most animals. But if I had to choose between the two I would choose a cat. They just seem to have so much more personality than dogs and I guess I like them more for it.

i love 'em both! i think dogs have more of an
outgoing personality in general, so they're more fun
to be around, but i love my cuddly kitty too :cat:

Definitely cats!!! :cat: I currently have 3 marvelously mischievous cats. They keep me company and entertain me and I don't know what I would do without them. :heart:

Me too, my dog loves tuna for some reason and just about any kind of cheese. I do also have a cat though and I love both my babies dearly.

I prefer dogs. Growing up, we had a Yorkie named Binky. She was such a wonderful dog. Although she has been gone for years, I still miss her. She was the best dog that anyone could ever have.

Both really. We have two cats and two dogs. The dogs are better for playing with, and the cats are easier for maintenance! Love them all though.

cats!!!! i have 4 cats total,,one that stays in always,one that stays out always ,,but he comes in for a visit a couple times a day..and two that run on and out all day long :cat:

I really love both, but I think I prefer dogs if I'm choosing between the two.

I like both cats and dogs. I like that I can take my dog on a walk, but it is tons of fun to cuddle up with a cat. I haven't had a cat since childhood b/c my dh is allergic to cats, but I still consider myself a cat and dog person.

Both dogs and cats are good pets. I would love to have a dog, but my present circumstances prevent me from having one as a pet.

i love german rottweiler we have two girls and a boy and now 7 new puppies that are 7wks old had to bottle feed them because mom didn't produce any milk what a hand full

Oh gosh..cats..always cats!! Marvelous, mysterious, independant and beautiful! Self cleaning, odorless, fun, and low maintenance.(No daily walks required)

I like both dogs and cats - they each have their benefits. I had dogs for many years but now we have two cats who are very affectionate, come when called, and sleep with us. Of course they do the crazy cat thing of all of a sudden going from standing still to a full out run with fluffed out tail to head into another room, always makes me wonder what they're thinking. This thread makes me think of Meet the Parents when DeNiro's character berates Greg for having low self esteem and needing constant reassurance from a dog! LOL One of our cats is even named Jinx from that movie. :cat:

I am a large dog kinda person. We have one mastiff and one german shephard mix and they are the worlds greatest dogs, i'm sure everyone says that about their pets :) We also have a cat but she is just very independant and likes to do her own thing. Dogs all the way!!

Gotta agree that both are great! We had a dog, when I first got married. But, I am divorced now and with a different man now and have been with him for ten years and have had cats since the beginning, which I never expected, because I grew up in a home with a father who was very loyal to hunting dogs. :)

CAT! Easier to take care of, can go out of town and not have to worry and can enjoy a more human type relationship with a cat than just having a dog mindlessly follow you around. Though, of course I love all animals, just prefer to have cats. :cat:

I am a dog person! I did have a cat before, and she was great! I lover and she slept under the covers with me....but with that being said there is nothing like the company of a dog

I have a cat. She's kind of a brat, but I love her to death. Home just wouldn't feel the same without her! I like dogs too, but I NEVER want to own one. They are just too much of a pain. I'd hate picking up poop, having to take them on walks even when it's freezing cold outside, and dealing with finding someone to take care of them every time we go away for a weekend. My husband wants a dog though, he threatens to bring one home all the time and thinks I'll just fall in love and be stuck with a dog. NEVER! ;D

I have 4 cats and I totally adore them. They keep me sane. ;) One of them is disabled. He is deaf and only has one eye. (His previous owner couldn't afford to take him to the vet, so when his eye ruptured, I sprang to action and got him into surgery the next day. We are still having some problems with that eye or rather non-eye.) I wouldn't trade any of them in for the world, but I do like dogs too. I don't want one for myself (I am single), but if I had a responsible partner and he wanted one, I would work with him to find one that worked for both of us. Its too much work for me, but if he is going to be the primary care giver, I think I'd be cool with it.

I love them both. But for now we have two dogs and two rabbits so not a good idea to add a cat to the mix. However, once in a while we end up with a kitten in the house do to saving it and waiting to find it a good home.

Well I like to look at cats but I can't touch them or have them in the house. I am very allergic to them. I love dogs though. They can truly be your best friend. I have to a Jack Russel and a Harlequin Great Dane. They are so cute together.

I love cats and dogs equally, we have 2 dogs and 2 cats. Our dogs are a Boston terrier and a Pomeranian, our cats a big white one, and a gray and black striped beautifully marked kitten.

I like dogs. Cats seem a little evil to me. I have only had cats as pets during my childhood. I'm looking forward to buying the kids a dog when I get my house. I want a poodle.

That inherently-biased opinion has a high probability of being based on xtian superstitious nonsense and empty religious beliefs, (unless you were an "evil" child who had pet cats).
