Post by: oldbuddy on June 03, 2012, 08:19:46 am
The latest epic to hit the theaters, but what ever happened to plain old fashioned fairy tales? Are you going to see it?

My husband saw it yesterday and said he really enjoyed it. And, out of The Avengers and Men in Black he preferred Snow White even though he really liked The Avengers too. He takes his special needs sister to the movies while she's visiting and I'm at work. I don't mind catching them on our HD tv.

We'll wait to see it on DVD.  However, my family is a big fan of Once Upon a Time tv series.  We've been really enjoying that.

I won't be seeing it in theatres but I do plan on watching it later on tv or dvd rental.  It is just getting expensive at the theatre and money is tight so it rare that a movie makes me feel the need to run to the theatre to see it.

I have been informed by my grandchildren that by their decree I am to take them to that movie at the earliest possible moment or at least until the next comercial on the disney channel.

I heard of Snow White, but I never heard of the Huntsman.  I'll probably wait until it comes out on dvd.

Florence and the Machine did a great song for the movie. I feel like the movie has to live up to that song. With that being said I've never been a fan of Kristen Stewart (although I have heard she made more than one expression in this movie) and probably wouldn't pay to see this. I'll wait for the DVD.

Not until it hits my instant queue in Netflix.  It doesn't interest me all that much for some reason.  Guess I'm still a good old fashioned drama guy at heart...

I prefer the original old fashion Grimms Brothers or the Disney classic I grew up with. I am not too fond of the darker version.

I plan on seeing this. I also saw Avengers and Rock of Ages recently. I like seeing movies during the summer.

What bothers me about it is that little kids want to see it but it's too violent and scarry and its PG-13. Same problem with cartoons on TV. My kids don't understand that some cartoons are not for kids, like South park. They assume if its fairy tales and cartoons, it is for them.

I plan to see it eventually.  I didn't see it, but I think that "Mirror, Mirror" was a more kid-friendly version of Snow White.
