-
Nope never been in jail.
I was not an angel as a kid but only did stupid kid stuff and never got caught.
-
No, I have never been to jail, and I also do not intend to either. I do know several who have though, and from all the tales I have been told it is no place I want to go. I wouldn't last a day

I was in jail from eight in the morning until five in the after noon on a Sunday...January first/New Year's Day. My attorney, and Uncle, refused to come down and bail me out because he wanted to watch sports and told me that the first break he would get would be around dinner! I was seventeen and terrified being in a jail, in a large city, with some seriously bad criminals. After about four hours in the cell I began to make friends with some of the other inmates and they told me that I was lucky to be in on a Sunday because you get cheese on your bologna sandwich!

Never. I always sorta figured the laws are there for a reason so why not just listen to them. I mean, yeah, it would be nice having that new thing without paying for it, but I don't think I could live with it even if I got away with it. Heck, I feel like the only person in the world that doesn't speed cause I'm constantly being passed when I drive and I'm normally on or maybe 1 above the limit. And some how, with my luck, if I sped they would probably catch me.

I have never been incarcerated. I don’t believe people in jail are all that evil. They are just human beings who made bad choices in their life. Like you said, they eventually have to take responsibility for their wrong actions. I think you have posted this topic before in the past month.

Yeah I was in jail for 10 years! I am a retired Detention and Corrections Deputy ;D. Even though it's a job and you go home when your 12 hour shift is over..for the time you are there you are in jail the same as the inmates, getting involved in the jail schedule and all the inmates petty bullshit.

No, I am 58 years old and I have never been to jail. Out of three kids, I'm the only one. I don't say that in a snotty way because I try to not look down on anyone who has been to jail. It kind of makes me sad, especially in the case of my brother and sister who have both been. I just try to look at it like it like "there but for the grace of God go I". At any rate sure not anywhere I would want to go.

No, I've never been in Jail, and dont plan on ever going to a jail. Heck I dont even have a driving ticket

Yes, I've been to jail when I was younger. Fortunately for me, this served as an advantage b/c I had time to think some things through without distractions and in return learned to make better choices for my life, which has shown through the person I've become. All of the "I have NEVER" types that are clutching their pearls need to know just b/c you haven't doesn't mean you won't and we've all done wrong (whether legal or moral), it's just a matter of who's gotten caught and who hasn't. ;)

I have never been in jail, as a prisoner. I have been inside the Federal Medical Center for Prisoners, twice. They used to let some softball teams go in and play against the inmates team. It was interesting. I don't know if they still do that.

I do not like jails! Period! I avoid them. I do not like to suffer...and I do not to see other people suffer!
-
does going to jail in the Monopoly game board count? haha :P
-
Not for me but my daughter got a dui. She was devestated. They kept her outside the jail until her sister picked her up. That was 8 years ago and she has had a designated driver or doesn't drink when she goes out.
-

NO! I hope I will never have to go to jail. It can hurt your reputation and really make you look bad. It is also not the best places to be in.
-
No I have never been to jail.
-
I've never really been in trouble with the law and placed in jail for that reason. I've been to some touresy jail houses - including Alcatraz, but that doesn't count.
-
Never
-
No I have not. I do know a lot of people who have and they don't want to go back!
-
fortunately no, i havent been to jail.
-
Nope I have never been to jail.

No I have never been to jail. But I do know a number of people who have. I work with the prison system and was also a police detective for a number of years. I am amazed at the number of people who are there because they did not have the money for a good attorney, the are innocent but have no one to speak for them. Or who have attorneys who are so busy that they tell them to just throw themselves on the mercy of the court. The courts frequently do not have any mercy. One young woman I met (others also) was so intimidated by the whole thing she plead guilty because she was afraid at how long they were going to put her away if she went to jury trial. (This was not a stupid girl, she has a Masters degree) They let her out after 3 years (told her she was going in for 12 years) and then the state had to pay her several millions because of 1. her innocence and 2. the poor way they had handled the entire thing. If you have never been involved in (or your family) has never been involved you just tell the truth to everyone you see. Do not say anything to anyone WITHOUT YOUR attorney present. Police will twist things around to get cases off of their desks. I have seen a family with an abused child, the entire family blamed the babysitter. Eventually it came out that it was the child's father. But by then she had been in prison 3 years, time she will not get back. If the truth had been told to begin with by the father she would not have went to prison (he convinced the family that things they saw were not quite what they thought they saw). The family would have been mandated to take parenting classes, social services would have come into the home weekly for about a year to make sure everything was ok. You see things like this a few times and it really changes your view of the court system. I know there are really good people in the courts too, these other guys just make them look bad.

Yes, only because I worked there ;D

I have never been to jail! :bootyshake:
