Hi all,
This afternoon we had a scheduled maintenance activity involving one of our main servers. When the system was rebooted the database server did not come back online as expected, but instead required a bit of prodding. We're back online now, total downtime appears to have been approximately 1hr 50mins.
I'm very sorry about this issue. I know it's frustrating to click your Daily Cash Email and get an error message.
Please post here if you have any questions or concerns.

I appreciate that you let us know, Admin. The server downtime only ate one of my survey credits which I happened to complete at 2 PM PST, (apparently the outage occurred shortly after 2). Ah well, glitch happens.

Appreciate the information Admin.

Thanks Admin for letting us know. By the way the Fusion Cash clock (under Back to Fusion Cash) is off by 6 minutes and extra seconds. 6 minutes or so slow.

Although it was off by 6.66 minutes, doubtless that was pure coincidence.

I notice that, I was just finish doing my "fun lifestyle survey" and it have not been credit yet. I hope it did not interfere the submit button ???

FC Surveys which failed to credit during that downtime on Saturday afternoon will be imported later this week, so you shouldn't miss out on any credit, it will just take a bit longer than usual.
I fixed the clock, thank you Kfickes for pointing that out.

Got about 75% through with this survey and it went away. Unable to hit submit.

points out the need for testing first and doing maintenance overnight perhaps when less members are online?

I went here during that time and received the notification. But, it was okay, these things happen. Thanks for taking the time to let us know what was going on though. I like an admin that is highly involved and considerate to the members. :)

This was a one-off maintenance task related to hardware in the cabinet space that we rent. It was scheduled by the company that rents us the cabinet and had to occur during the day (when they have staff on hand). Saturday afternoon is one of the slowest daylight periods of the week. All this to say, we did give some consideration to the proper methodology but were constrained by outside forces.

Understood. Maintenance must be done sometime, otherwise there'd be even more downtime from crashes. Frankly, I'm surprised there was staff on-hand on a Saturday to do the maintenance, (some companies just perform such during the weekday daytime hours rather than have weekend staff available).
Thanks again, Admin.

Glad it was fixed
