Title: i have dealt with pain but this is bad
Post by: aggie49 on July 11, 2012, 02:03:15 pm: i broke my arm in 3 places and man i want to scream thankfully i will be ok just gonna be in a cast for 6 to 8 weeks so if my spelling is a little off forgive me i am not left handed its hard typing one handed they put pins in my elbow i just know it hurts alot

Yeah, you will get through the pain.

I had an accident at work that resulted in bulging discs in my neck, displaced shoulder, and contusion to the elbow. One year and a half later, the pain is still going strong. Good Luck and take care of yourself.

OMG, what an awful thing to go through! Getting hit by a car while walking or running is one of my biggest fears. Thank God you're OK and got through it. That's amazing! :angel11:

I feel for you. I have Sciatic in my back, which causes me to have problems at times, walking, sitting, and standing. It's bad but my doctors told me to have surgery would only make it worse. Be very careful in what you do lol :angel11:

Post by: raven1114 on July 11, 2012, 11:53:56 pm: Ouch that has to hurt. I hope it feels better soon. Did they give you any pain meds? If they did make sure to take them regularly don't wait until it's hurting so bad you can't stand it.

Post by: sfister65 on July 12, 2012, 06:47:38 am: Ouch. How did you break your arm? I was in a motorcycle accident once. Spent a week in ICU. 3 broken rips, nastly black bruises and a ruptured spleen. The pain was awful but the morphine make me not care.

As awful as some of the injuries shared so far are, there are worse ones. I am a caregiver to two men who were in accidents that left them with traumatic brain injuries. Their bones are healed, but they have lost much of who they were.

MY DAUGHTER BROKE ANKLE PLAYING SOFTBALL. MY SON HAS BROKE ARM AND LEG. HIS ARM WAS IN FOOTBALL AND HIS LEG WAS FROM RIDING A SKATEBOARD. HE HAD TO HAVE 7 SURGERIES ON HIS LEG. THEY ARE BOTH GOOD NOW AND PLAYING AND LOVING SPORTS. HOPE ALL GOES WELL FOR YALL!!!!

being in accidents and in any kind of pain is not fun hope it gets better

Post by: ejholt on July 12, 2012, 03:32:06 pm: I know about pain. I had a knee replacement in January and the therapy was so painful. It was worse the the surgrey. Now my other knee is hurting so bad I have to be on pain med. I am going to the doctor that did surgrey on me next Tuesday and see exactly what is wrong with it. I hope I don't have to have another knee replacement. My job is on the line if I have to be out again this soon. Everyone pray for me. I am going to get the Preacher to pray for my healing Sunday. I am hoping for a healing from God. May God bless each of you and keep you safe.

[I feel for you. I have a herniated disc in my back and suffer from complex migraines almost every week. Hopefully the pain will subside and you'll get back to you're old self in no time. Take the pain medicine also it does take the edge off!!

Post by: blondie71 on July 12, 2012, 04:39:15 pm: Yeah I bet it hurt. When I was younger My brother and I and a friend used a baseball bat to get wallnuts out of a tree and I got hit in the head and had to have stiches. Of course I passed out so I don't remember much about it.

Post by: handllucas on July 13, 2012, 05:42:07 pm: I am so sorry to hear about your accident. I would imagine you are in more pain than most of us have ever been in. If they gave you pain pills, I suggest you take them so your body will focus on healing more than tryingto block the pain.
