Ehh. At my school we had this program where, as seniors, we could come in late, and leave early. I can't remember the name of the program, but basically, as long as you had the minimum number of classes, I think it was 5, you could miss the other periods.. So you could miss the first 2 or so, take 5 classes, and then leave early from school.
In addition to stuff like that, I had fun with school. Wish I was still in high school. Looking back on it, it was great. Way better than college is.
-
Doing the same exact thing every single day.
A lot of teachers didn't give a crap about what they were doing.
The US education system in its entirety.
The lack of relevant material that was taught.
Lack of challenge, which led to pure boredom for 7 hours.
Busy work that served absolutely no purpose in my life....and still hasn't shown its purpose.
Purposeless authority.
You name it...
But I can't say I wouldn't mind going back...at least I didn't have to really put any effort into it to be successful at it. Not the case with college :P
-
EVERYTHING!!!! It sucked. Mostly it was just really boring. Would love to go back now, though.
-
I hated the pep rallies we were forced to attend. The only time I ever ditched school was during a pep rally.
-
i'm an artsy fartsy, lefty lucy &went to highschool waaay down in kentucky.
i suppose i hated the lack of diversity the most. there was one african american,
and one chinese exchange student.
...boys rode their muddy four-wheelers to school.

English.
Because I love English, but the most dumbfuck teachers taught it, and the classes were so useless.
There was a test that we had to take at the beginning of 10th grade english, to see how much we knew and how much we had to learn, then we took it again at the end to judge progress.
Well I bet I skewed the curve, seeing as I got 100 percent both times. And they still wouldn't let me skip the class.

:crybaby2: I went to high school back in the early 1970's... IT WAS AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kids were treated badly by the teachers, we didn't have computers, and half the class was always stoned. They had a lot of bullys, and they were iqnored by the teachers then, so I saw a lot of stuff that wouldn't be allowed today. If we were 5 mins. late, we had to stay after school an hour to make up for it... NO!! I would not like to relive those days!!!!
-
i hated school period... never wanted to go or do any of the work but i graduated twice from 2 different schools lolz
-
I HATED Algebra. I didn't understand it and the Teacher never took the time to explain it. I still don't understand it and went out of way to make sure I took another required course, instead of it. :BangHead:
-
I :BangHead: hated wearing uniforms! My school had a uniform dress code BLEH!
-
The people for sure the jocks ignored you and were cruel the cheerleaders didn't like to talk to anyone who had more then a cracker for lunch. The smart kids didn't think you were smart enough. The stoners didn't like anyone who didn't smoke and even they everyone else group found some reason not to like you. Im glad to be grown up and past that stupid time :bootyshake:

Truly, you read my mind.

Just about everything. I hated high school with a passion and couldn't wait to get out. I loved college so much better. I had been around the same people, the same mentalities for the last 12 years and I couldn't stand it. I was a good student but socially it was horrible. Whoever said high school was the best years of your live obviously didn't go to college. My high school reunion is coming up and I vowed never to attend any of them.
-
THE REGENTS WAS A BIG PROBLEM ..BECUZ IT WAS LIKE STRESSFUL AND SOME TIME UNPATIENT TO SIT THEIR TAKE THOSE TESTS..YA AND IF U FAIL U HAVE TO WAIT TILL LIKE COUPLE MONTS TO TAKE THEM AGAIN >:(

I liked High school. can't think of much that was to be hated.

All I can say is, I wish the internet was around when I was in high school.
I would have home schooled myself rather than go to that torture chamber.
-
I hated everything about school but had some memorable times back then.
-
I hate how they block every site a.d leave the ones for elementary students
-
The idiots that thought they were better than everybody ........... I wonder how their lives turned out to be ?
And seeing certain kids being targeted for stupid immature reasons.
For me personally, not that bad. It was fun when I wasn't bored...
-
I didn't like most of the people in my high school. I went to high school in the middle of nowhere, more or less. There were only 3-4 people i really ever hung out with. Most times I just wanted to :bootyshake:
-
i hated getting up early, i missed so much school because i could not get out of bed,,,
-
lol...i hated the poeple! All the stupid little clicks and how nasty and mean everyone was to one another....but then again i don't like anyone either. it just bugged me :BangHead:
-
i hated getting up early, i missed so much school because i could not get out of bed,,,
This has to be my big hate about school... I also missed a lot of my first and second period classes due to this reason.
Secondly, school was boring and far too long. I was just counting the minutes until we got out of class.
Thirdly, Math. Haha
-
"WHAT DID YOU HATE THE MOST ABOUT HIGH SCHOOL?"
The food and everything else.
-
I hated the self-consciousness I felt every minute. I'm SO glad that's several decades behind me.
-
I hated all the freakin drama someone was always fighting or crying over a break up i just hated it highschool wasnt for me that is how i got sent to alternative school
-
I hated all the freakin drama someone was always fighting or crying over a break up i just hated it highschool wasnt for me that is how i got sent to alternative school
thats what i was going to say... i hated all the drama, people always fighting in the halls or lunchroom or people fighting over each other and so on.... it was all stupid if you ask me
-
Haha! I love the post about Kentucky. I went to high school in Kentucky as well, but our county did not have "ride your tractor to school day" like surrounding counties.
I pretty much enjoyed high school, but I hated all the drama and gossip. I went to college at a huge university, in a different state, where I had control over who knew me and what they knew. It was nice. I also wished I had not had that high school sweetheart experience, because I ended up wasting 6 years of my life with him (which included half of college).
-
I am still in high school and can't even begin to list the number of things I hate about it:( Only 10 more days!
-
I hated the classes, they were boring for the most part. I loved journalism, I was a photographer & had a lot of freedom my jr. & sr. year. Otherwise it pretty much sucked.
-
Loved high school. And no I wasn't a cheerleader or anyone popular although I did have my friends. I loved to learn and I excelled. I was only a few credits short of an associates degree when I graduated high school. Back then I made a point to be happy and love life...wish I was as good at that now as I was then. It was college I had trouble with.
-
I hated English and Science, man did they stunk
-
I hated all the race riots that where going on it was very sad. but other than that I had a BALL and Loved it
-
High school was sooo boring. There were no real challanges :BangHead:. I couldn't wait to get out into the real world.
-
I hated the drama
-
I think what I really hated about high school is how unprepared I was for the real world when it came knocking. I was self conscious, and never really got over it. I think the only thing that high school or school in general really taught me was to expect to be beaten down by authority figures. Be prepared and expect to be run over by government, corporations and religion.
-
Having to read tons of boring stuff
-
you were labeled to a certain group. and the fact that you have to learn i hate learning...
-
I had nosey teacher who thought my life was her business. I was sooooo glad to get out of there !! ;D
-
what i hate most about my high school was that the hallways where like a maze. you felt like a rat trying to find his way to the GOLDEN CHESS aka(class room) and once your there the whole darn thing repeats it self..
lol you asked xD
-
I hated being 1 of only 10 African Americans in the entire school. Now my whole school was only 260 people but it was difficult at times. I also hated that we had to go to the same classes every single day. College was a breath of fresh air for me!
-
I was a book nerd/geek. 'Fringe group' says everything when it came to my High School experience. Doesn't help that I attended a cult academy in the middle of a desert. No joke. It sucked out loud.
-
I hate the boring classes, and of course homework!
-
Kids that thought they where better than u. But it is still like that 2 day :( how sad :sad1:
-
I hate the fact that im not there anymore....... :'(
-
:angry7:THE GIRLS :BangHead:
-
I'm still in High School and I like it a lot. :)
-
my school was absolute garbage so i didnt really like much of anything about it
-
haha I'm in high school too, I enjoy it for the most part.
what I don't like is that people are at different points in their maturity...
so sometimes, stupid conflicts arise. :/
-
I didn't like anything about high school except for acting like a jackass with my friends and being loud and obnoxious at the HS football games. I was absolutely thrilled to graduate in June and be done with that *bleep*.
-
haha I'm in high school too, I enjoy it for the most part.

Same with me. I personally don't get all the hate. It's not so bad when compared with the alternatives, i.e. work.
-
All the drama
-
School was fun while it lasted. I'm just glad I'm out of it now, but sometimes I'm so bored that I wish I was back in school.
-
I hates teachers that took their jobs WAAAAYYYY to seriously. Just teach the material and stop trying to be parents or friends.....
-
lol the nerds and thier drama
-
Lived in a very small town and EVERYBODY knew your business. :(
-
Being picked on constantly!
-
the worst thing about high school was that it started at 7:25 AM. that's WAY too early for me! :angry7:
-
High School wasn't all that bad for me. I just hated my L.A. teacher...
-
I used to hate getting up so early in the morning. Especially on those cold snowy days.
-
Algebra and Geometry. I was not smart enough to be a rocket scientist. I just wanted to earn how to make my first 10 million dollars in the shortest amount of time. Of course, I still searching.javascript:void(0);
-
All the teenage drama and cliques and B.S. that goes along with high school.
-
having to defend myself on the daily
-
Well, i went to a 75% black school and i am white so it was pretty much bullcrap everyday,
long story made short i eventually dropped out cuz all my friends were being picked off and sent to hospitals over nothing, at NTSU right next to us a white girl was stabbed to death by a black girl over a parking spot
you know im not sayen im racist but if your white and go to an all black school you have a different insight on the world then most people who go to high schools
instead of "drama" as you all call it, it was more like shootings, school cops dieing, friends getten sent to emergency rooms, friends getten pushed down flights of stairs, and stabbed jus because we are white, and this stuff was everyday not just once a year or so, we had about 15 different gangs at school ALL black of corse
white people arnt racist anymore, but black people sure as hell are
-
MAN i read this forum about haten school and stuff and i cant help to crap up at these suburban kids that are like "ohhh we had to do the same thing everyday, principles were anoying" and a bunch of dumb crap, well i had to dodge bullets and watch school cops die from gun wounds and my friends sent to emergency rooms and a white girl get stabbed to death SOOOOO you could imagine how i feel when people are complaining about "DRAMA" like highschool musical or some crap
yeah i started smoking alot of pot among other things and eventually completely dropped out and now i am unable to get a job or anything so im pretty much screwed my entire life, CONSIDER YOUR SELF LUCKY YOU FREAKEN SUBURBEN RICH KIDS
-
yeah.. honestly drama isnt a very big thing to hate about school.
i dont know why everyone hates high school.
the only horrible thing about it is not being able to start and end later.
i love high school.....
-
The only thing that I didn't like was the clicks and all the rumors that went around. It was crazy.
-
That I didnt get to finish out my last year at Glendale. I was sent to a rehablitation center and had to graduate from a hospital facility.
-
CONSIDER YOUR SELF LUCKY YOU FREAKEN SUBURBEN RICH KIDS
I may not have had gangs in my school, but I went to a small school in a small country town. And I can assure you that no one there was rich. Just because someone didn't grow up in the 'hood does not mean they are rich. You do realize that Appalachian towns are more poverty-stricken than practically every other area of the United States?

i'm with you... i'm from Columbus, Ohio and its pretty much all blacks also but i managed and graduated twice  from high school and vocational school (Law Enforcement) my Junior and Senior year. Class Of "00" :icon_rr:
-
I hate the fact that there were cliques. If you grew out of the group of friends you had been hanging out with, it's near impossible to make new friends.
-
Lazy teachers. Student's who took a free education for granted. IB course work. BS Gym Class. Drama. Ridiculous cliques.
-
I hate the fact that there were cliques. If you grew out of the group of friends you had been hanging out with, it's near impossible to make new friends.
The cliques were the worst!! I wasn't a geek, but I certainly was not a popular one... I was just kind of there!! I did hate that the most!! I also had 2 teachers my senior year who literally flirted with the boys most of the class. Making goofy comments and such... they were first year teachers and young... it was so ridiculous!! Believe it or not, I liked learning... ok, maybe i was a bit of a nerd... LOL... but when the flirting got in the way of teaching, it was horrible!!!
-
i did not like school nobody there knew i could not hear them...deaf in one ear. heard 1 out of 5 words. so i failed classes that were easy... i even failed typing...could not follow drections if i could not hear them...teacher did not realize i had a problem.. but he knew something was wrong...in a typing test..if i made a mistake i would go back to the beginning...he asked me why i did that.. i did not even know what he was talking about.
so i became a start over person. when ever any kind of mistake made in my life.
-
i hate my highschool years,,girls at my school were a *bleep*!,,constantly flirting with boys,, >:(
-
what i dont like about hs is that most kids only goes to school to show off their cars and clothes. its not the same anymore. kids only go to school to socalize but not learn.
-
;) Boring classes, boring teachers! High school years were the best years of my life: Lots of energy...lots of activities!
-
Boring. Highschool was such a chore. Easy as hell.
-
To the one that posted about blacks killing whites or hurting them bad in school and stabbing to death over a parking spot?? which is just so crazy.
Be careful of blacks, they are more primitive (evolution) and will hurt you for no reason. I stay as far away from them as possible and it is not because I am racist but because of what I have saw and I am white so I have reason to fear for my life. I also stay away from all races that are not my own.
If you can't understand then look around the world. I was never racist but have learned to keep away by things I see.
In high school I hated being kept back by the other kids in my class. Hello..I know this stuff can we move on?? I seen it as annoying that they wouldn't just give me all the classwork for the year at the start of the year and let me finish it at my own pace and let me advance which was way before time.
I dropped out at 16 and got my GED because I had a hard time with being bored and not able to move ahead when I was done with my coursework
WTF!
You stay far away, call black people primitive and claim they will hurt you for no reason.
I'm sorry but you need to wake up and realize you ARE A RACIST.
-
yeah, i agree,,she definitely sounds like she is,,i believed that there are only 2 kinds of people in this world, the good and the bad ones, no matter WHAT the color is,,,
-
:( I hated being made fun of.. for being fat, near sighted, and pimply... I changed.
-
calling blacks more primitive than whites is not racist and also whites are more primitive than Chinese/Japanese/korean...
that is just evolution and science and nothing to do with race.
Yes, I stay away from blacks and hispanics and asians but get this my boyfriend of over 3 1/2 years is a black Jamaican. I learned to stay away because other races have been really racist towards me. I have not found any people (females) of other races that wanted to be friends with me. But I get hit on all the time by the men who try to get with me. It isn't that I don't or wouldn't be friends with someone of another color but who would want to is the real question.
It's other people being racist.
Well I guess they do have a reason to hurt me and that is because I am not of their same color.
I have only gotten hurt by my own race and a few blacks or hispanics but that is another story.
You make no sense at all. Just by the way you respond to threads you get the hint that you are messed up in the head. And this and your previous post proves you are a racist and pretty ignorant at that.
-
The whole thing, I liked going home :P
-
going!
-
teachers :0
-
no, i think you are the one with the lack of knowledge.
you can actually sit there and say that whites are not more evolved than blacks and asians not more evolved than whites?
Go back to school ::) :P
You dropped out when you were 16 and are telling someone to go back to school. That is funny and shows your ignorance even more.
It is sad that you can't see you are a racist POS that probably thinks all your downfalls are caused by others.
Are you sure you even went to school and wasn't just locked in a closet where you were brain washed with the crap you believe!
-
I am glad I am out of high school! I hated a lot of things, but moslty I hated the cliques. Even being one of the "popular" kids I struggled every day to keep up appearances and fit in. Kids are so mean and will turn on you in a heartbeat.
-
I have to agree with jenniferbottorff... The thing I disliked most about highschool was highschool. Hahahah. Although, I would not have got my licence without drivers ed. So maybe it wasnt all so bad?? ;D
-
teacher and homework
-
Being in class and doing nothing but sit on my butt.
-
I never fit in with the "in-crowd." I was an out-cast the whole way through. I went through a Heavy Metal phase my freshman and sophmore years and that didn't help much. LOL I would not go back if you paid me... no lie. LOL :icon_rr:
-
Girl drama. Bleh!!
-
Going, I just hated going I left as much as I could.
-
Going!!
-
I hated our school bell. I'm a big anime dork, and the school bells in them were always so nice and chimey. Ours sounded like the school was on fire.
-
Oh my gosh I hated everything about high school. I hated the "cliques" and the daily lunchroom fights. I hated the way high school made me feel too. I never fit in and always felt pretty distant. The only good thing about HS was Chorus. I love Chorus.
-
Just going didn't want to be there. Now I know what I missed not going
-
The popularity bs was what I hated most. The funny part is, 30 later here we all are on Facebook interacting like we were bosom buddies all along! We really did grow up, just took awhile LOL!
-
The fact that kids can really be mean and hurtful. I guess it goes with that age, some people grow up, where some never do. Teasing just goes with the territory. Gym class was nothing more than a stressful event. I was not the most coordinated in sports, and I just felt so self conscious in those days. I guess with anything you have to take the good with the bad. I had some good times in school also with friends. Overall, it could have been better, but then I guess it could have been worse.
-
gossip and egos!
-
I'm still in High School, my least favorite part is the DRAMA, it makes me want to just repeatedly smash my head against the wall. :BangHead:
-
Didnt much care for the majority of my classmates....I dont go to class reunions either....
-
Definitely World History. That class was boring. Lol!
-
senior english and all the literature and poems
-
i hated getting up early and also being told what i could or couldn't wear
-
I absolutely hated how in almost every subject, aside from mathematics, all the teachers were stupid. I seriously learned more in middle school. I also hated how as the grades went higher, the more stupid and ignorant people became. Including me, there were only four students in the entire sophomore year taking Calculus.
-
i hate physics class and history too
-
High school itself sucked-I'd never want to go back. My friends and I had fun after school and in between classes and such, but it just seemed like an overall waste of time to me. I still suggest that people stay in school because you NEED to in order to do anything with your life, so it's a necessary evil, but I am SO glad I'm done with school!!!!
-
I never really liked high school....maybe if i were dating someone else or not dating anyone at all it would have been better....but the way it stands...i didnt like anything about high school
-
i just hated the kids in the school fighting over stupid things that wasnt worth fighting over and the so call gangs.
-
High school.......I hated high school........
-
I like learning, but I hate the school environment....other kids- the ones who didn't give a crap about what they were (not) learning- always made me feel like such a reject for getting high grades. It's not my fault they're bound for a career in the fast food industry! Plus I was shy and kept to myself when my friends weren't in my classes, and people mistook that for being stuck up- one b*tch even through a sucker in my hair and called me a stuck-up cow! :bs:
-
how mean kids treat each other.
-
I hated the pep rallies we were forced to attend. The only time I ever ditched school was during a pep rally.
I did the same thing. Hated them. Just the blow hards were there and the little preppy girls couldn't stand them any more so just left.
-
The first two years when I had gym we had to go swimmimg in our birthday suits. Boy how I hated that cold water.
-
I loved high school especially whenit was over. only to be drafted into the army it really help me alot
-
Ugh the stupid long tests and the general immaturity of everyone including the teachers. :/
