I would like to know how many people like to shop at what store more Target over walmart or walmart over target?

I think target has some better stuff. Like you can find cuter clothes, curtains, etc at target then walmart. But for the things they offer at both that are the same, walmart has better deals.

Target has the best fashion and styles for your home and self. They also have good prices for what you get walmarts clothes seem to wear out sooner then targets.

But the only thing I don't like about it is that the employees are damn RUDE sometimes. :BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead:

My first preference is Target for the unusual, but I also shop at Walmart because their prices are lower. :thumbsup:

I feel really guilty shopping at Walmart given their less-than-stellar record for the treatment of their employees and their involvement in human rights issues. That said, I hate the way Target is set up. I can never find what I am looking for. I'll pass on both of them for the sanity of Meijers.

Walmart because my boyfriend works there. I love the prices there. I do my grocery shopping there actually. Much cheaper then grocery stores.

I love both stores, but I usually find everything that I'm looking for at Walmart. They have great prices and good customer service.

I definitely prefer Walmart. Excellent prices, wide range in selection, a true one stop store. Crazy crowds though. I visited a Walmart 4/11 and it was so difficult to get a parking space close to the entrance area. And of course the lines were long at the registers.

Walmart is way better than target, better prices, better selection, doesn't feel like your about to get shot each time you walk through the doors.

Walmart is cheaper so I like them better. I do like Target's clothes better and they have good end of season sales that I like to clean up on.

Wal-Marts customer service is not all that well here in the south so I'm not sure it's hard to say.I will take their prices and Targets customer service.

Well when it comes to food i go to walmart but target is a place that i shop for clothes, dvds, cds books and toys for gifts. I can spend a small fortune in target.

Don't you just hate that Lexsouth? I go in for the milk, laundry soap, and coffee...come out with a cartful of things that I didn't even know I needed! Yesterday, I went in for lunch meats and it cost me...$110! But, I did get my oil changed while I shopped. Got to love that!
Walmart is where I shop for saving money...if both stores have the item - walmart will be cheaper.
If I'm looking for something different, or items for home-linens or decorative things, then I will go to Target for the variety.

I'm surprised by all the Walmart responses! I thought Target would win for sure. Target is French owned, so I guess I feel like I'm doing better for the US by shopping at Walmart. On top of that, Target is the company that wouldn't allow Toys For Tots to put a box at their stores, nor would they let the Salvation Army ring their bell. (I can't stand teh bell-ringers, but they do it for a good cause!!)

I "get lost" in Walmart. If I go in and start looking around, I feel like a kid in a candy store. Of course with money being tight, now a days all I CAN do is look. I like Walmart better than Target. Walmart is the cheaper of the two. The lay out of the store is a little better and easier to manipulate in Walmart. Although with some of the stores being remodeled, I do get a Targetesk feel when I go in now...I don't like that.

What I don't like about Walmart is that they pay their employees so little that they qualify for MediCal (CA's public assistance health care system). That pisses me off. Not that these poor creatures are getting health care, but that a company that is worth so many billions is forcing taxpayers to pay for their employees' insurance. Walmart already has taken ENOUGH of my money. I'm sure not going to GIVE them any. I never shop there, and never will!

yes, bschumacher, there are some negatives about walmart. the one that bugs me... all of the employees (here in ny) stand around talking. i mean right in your way in the middle of the aisle and don't even acknowledge the customers or get out of their way. it was a completely different experience when i shopped the walmarts in oklahoma and arkansas - those employees were so professional-took their jobs seriously and treated the customers with such respect! always greeting you with a smile. i miss that here.

My preference is Walmart. I can spend hours there. They have everything I need at a great price!

Definitely Wal-Mart. Although they have seemed to do like everyone else and raised their prices over time, I still think that they are a much better deal than Target. They do have some great bargains at times.

i'd say that in general i like target better. but i do a lot more shopping at walmart.. due to the fact that the nearest target is atleast an hour's drive away..

I go to walmart for just about everything. They usually have it. Target I go to when I get a giftcard there, thats about it.

I love Wal-Mart. I find everything I need at one store most of the time. Target's prices seem to be kind of expensive compared to Wal-Mart.

i love the stuff at target. most of my furniture is from there, i like their clothes and shoes, and i usually take care of my electronic and dvd needs there. however, i do all my grocery shopping at walmart. they usually have the best deals, and i can get a lot more for my buck.

That is a tough one. Although target has better quality clothing, wall-mart is the ultamate one stop shop. For that reason i pick wall mart

Wal-Mart. I like Target, but my husband is in the military and when we were stationed overseas they refused to ship to an APO address because basically it was too much work.

My wife loves Target and I would have to say their stores are much nicer and clean compared to Walmart, however Walmart's prices are much better!!

Walmart, live in a rural area and so it is hard to get to target. I like Walmart because it is convenient.

I usually like Target better as long as it's a SuperTarget. I think WalMart parking lots are usually terribly designed, but we've recently moved and I don't have a SuperTarget and was actually impressed with the WAlmart. Who knew!?

i really like target's clothes and store layout, BUT walmart is obivously cheaper so I shop at walmart. the stuff they sell isn't bad or anything, i think for what you are paying, its good.

It used to be Walmart, but since the company has changed, our local store is not the same anymore. Their variety of brands have dwindled dramatically. Unfortunately, Target is still to far away for me to shop regularly.

I prefer Target. the stuff they carry may be slightly more expensive. But you get a product is far better than anything at Walmart. Also Walmart is notorious for mistreating workings and under paying them. I would rather not support that type of company.

Interesting......I just found out that my city has the largest Wal-mart in the world. The only other one anywhere near its size is in Texas. I knew it was big, but......still. that's impressive. Its ceiling is like 80 feet high. Infuriating trying to find a parking space there, though. Which, as I recall, is why the "Hypermart Experiment", which my city's Wal-Mart was one of, failed.
But it's freakin HUGE. Seriously.

I LOVE TO SHOP IN TARGET! But Of course, I do shop in Walmart a lot more than Target because I do grocery there often. Target have a lot of cute stuff to buy! :D

Target has better quality stuff, Walmart has cheaper stuff. I would usually rather go to target but its like 1/2 hour away, Walmart is right up the street. The people at the walmart here are weird...they are really unprofessional, it seems like all the employees are always PDA all over each other or outside smoking, yelling at someone on the phone, etc...kinda annoying.

I'm truly surprised to see so much love for WalMart. The ones by where I live are complete trash and I would never think of going into one. Target is so much cleaner and brighter and nicer.

Target! They're cheaper for all of my child's toys, diapers, etc. :)
I do grocery shopping elsewhere, so I don't really need Walmart unless it's 2AM.

Walmart is the place I go when I am bored, cause there is always something crazy going on there. They also have cheaper prices. I prefer Target though when I am looking to find something because walmart may be cheaper, but when a new video game comes out, they usually sell out. Not many people go to target in my area, so it is easy to find what I am looking for there.

I hate target and will not shop there. They are a french owned company and will support nothing that has to do with our members of the military. They will not allow any veterans to set up stands at their stores and they will not allow the marines to set up toys for tots bins in their stores. DONT SUPPORT TARGET>
besides that their selection of stuff sucks.

TARGET is my happy place! The air con is always on cold, the employees always smile and offer assistance...and the freezers light up when you walk in front of 'em! I luv it!
At Wallyworld, the staff talk in their native languages, they turn the air con off in different areas of the day throughout the day to cut down on electricity costs...very tropical feel, but not the good kind lol!

I like Target better than Walmart. I think Target's merchandise is of better quality than Walmart's. Every once in a while I will take a look around in my local Walmart, but I always go back to Target.

Target. mmmm...i used to work there and i have a friend who works their. Too bad we don't get employee discounts.

Target offers different oducts that are not offer at Walmart. Certain things are not found elsewhere so Target is the place to go. The environment at Target is more shopper friendly and clean. I find Target to have items clear from clusters. It's easy to navigate along the aisles and the customers are courteous shoppers. Cashier lines are mostly free from long lines. I find most items here and the shopping experience is good.
Walmart has very low prices. Prices are lower than the Target for sure. Most items found at Walmart are at least 20% cheaper than Target. If you are looking for good savings, Walmart is the best place to go. The customer service at Walmart can be better. They usually have workers who doesn't speak enough English to assist the customers. Walmart's prices aer so low that it attracts all kind of customers. Some of which are not so cool to share the shopping environment with. There are always fights or some sort of argument at this store. I find it hard to get through the store without running into something. The prices are good here but there are some minor sacrifies to the shopping experience.

Target for me! It seems like every Walmart I have been to has tiny, cramped, little aisles where there's only really enough room for one person with a cart. I hate that! I like to be able to have enough room to shop without having to constantly dodge people. In my area anyway, the prices are the same. You can get better quality and better looking stuff at Target, and in the bath/beauty section, Target generally has a lot of products that have trials for other things attached to it for free. I love to try new stuff!

I prefer walmart. I live just down the road from a relatively new one, and I enjoy going there. It is just too convenient and the prices are really reasonable. The closest target I have is half an hour away and it is old and just not as well lit as walmart. We hardly ever shop there unless we just happen to be in the area.

I do walmart (when I am in the city) but I just read they laid off about 11,000 people! Is this true? And you thought the check out lines were slow before!

I like both. I like Walmart much more. I find alot of nice jeans there. I like to get jeans as cheap as possible. I bought a nice coat there also dfor less than $40. Their prices are great and you can save quite a bit of money. I buy cereal, cards, bird food and makeup cheaper than other stores and also clip coupons for additional savings. My husband finds jeans for $10, that's a good deal !

I always find myself at walmart. I don't like the employees there because they are not very helpful. I like Target better than Walmart but you can't beat Walmart's prices, especially at a super walmart where you can do all your shopping!

neither - both are cheap and not good quality - they buy only 2nd and 3rd grade products - if i'm going to eat steak - i'm going to buy the best - note (just because it's pricey doesn't make it the best) - know your products - informed gets great price and great quality

This is like choosing between the lesser of two evils for me... Walmart. Only because I find that Target makes returns as aggravating as possible.

Definately walmart. Love the convenience of shopping for everything at once, and the fact that they are everywhere in Indiana. We have one in just about every town that is good sized.

this is not even close. Walmart by about 800 miles. First, their prices are much better, and their selection is way better. Maybe it's just the Target by my house, but every time I go in there I come out disappointed because they didn't have what I wanted. At Walmart, I come out with what I wanted, and about 5 other things whose prices were too low to resist!

I shop Walmart more than Target just becasuse it is closer to my house and most things are cheaper there. There is some thing I shop for at Target like Movies that are a better value at Target and will make a special trip there to get them.

Lets see Target was supposed to hold a refriderator for me, for my son's birthday, and when I went to pick it up, they told me they sold it. After telling me they were going to put it on hold, of course it was no ones fault, after that, I do not shop Target any longer.
