Title: what do you do when you can't sleep
Post by: aggie49 on September 16, 2012, 01:31:14 am: i get on here check emails play a game to fusion cash stuff for a while and hopefully i finally get tired so i can go to sleep

Post by: king4cash on September 16, 2012, 05:17:12 am: I have a sister in law, when she cannot sleep, gets up and starts to do house chores, like cleaning, washing etc. I personally gets online and starts surfing until I feel very sleepy, then I return to bed, and sleep.

Post by: devilroljin on September 16, 2012, 11:58:14 am: I turn the TV on, get on any channel that seems interesting, then sit in the PC, and have the TV on the background, if something catches my eye, I can take a quick glance at the TV, and then continue at the PC, I can do so many things, when I'm at the PC, from FusionCash, to playing video games, to watch movies, episodes of TV shows, etc. I can even do some article reading, research something, do some online shopping, or practice my programming. Possibilities are endless when I can't sleep and I'm at the PC :D

Post by: EDW39A on September 16, 2012, 04:40:15 pm: At 2AM EST, if I am still up I get off the computer and watch some (a few minutes) TV. Then a cup of Sleepy Time tea, makes me ready for bed. With or without the radio I am off to sleep in no time. Most days I just get in bed a fall fast asleep.

Post by: oonamas on September 16, 2012, 05:24:14 pm: I grab my phone and cruise the internet or play Words w/Friends when I can't sleep. Or, I go pee ;) Since being pregnant, it seems like I always need to pee, so if I'm awake I might as well get it out of the way lol.

Post by: africanclaudie on September 16, 2012, 05:44:35 pm: I've been suffering from insomnia for as long as I can remember....even if I do fall asleep (which is usually a miracle), I wake up about an hour later...wide awake! I usually check my emails on the pc or get on with some art work, like painting or drawing. Most mornings I see the sun come up and the birds start to chirp. Unfortunately, by about 11am I am so dog-tired, I could drop down in a heap! I am going to try the Tylenol PM as a previous member suggested.

I really like to read so usually I'll read some news articles and tire my eyeballs until I get tired enough to sleep :)

Post by: ejholt on September 17, 2012, 06:37:28 am: I usally get up and get on puter or watch TV. I use to sew when my kids were little but the material has gotten so high you can't afford to buy it. You can catch clothes on sale and that is cheaper than making it your self. Hope everyone is having a wonderful day and may God bless each of you and keep you safe.

Play video games, go online, clean, etc. It really depends on what I feel like doing. For some reason I always want to clean when I should go to sleep.

Post by: dcrotteau on September 18, 2012, 09:18:55 am: I am a chronic insomniac. Didn't sleep for years, unless you count 3 hrs a night as sleep. I call that a nap. LOL. So years ago I started taking prescription sleeping pills. Started with Ambien and when they didn't keep me asleep, I went on Tamazepam. They have been a lifesaver for me. I get 7-8 hrs. a night, sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less. But I wake up feeling good, and have energy to get things done. I'll be a lifer on these pills. :peace:

I get up and drink a glass of milk too. It usually helps me to fall back to sleep.

I have to wrench myself away from the computer. I can instantly fall asleep in bed within 5 minutes under the dark. I rarely suffer from insomnia.
