Do you always vote the person chosen by your party even you don't like the guy?
-
I don't fill out the ballot based on the party affiliation - I try to know about the candidates and their voting records then vote by the name of the candidate.
-
No, I learn as much as I can about either candidate and decide based on what they plan on doing for the country. Party affiliation has nothing to do with it for me.
-
No.I do not vote a straight ticket. I watch listen and decide which way i will vote.

No I love to make my own decisions after looking and listening to each canidate and what changes they plan on making that will help our future
-
I would rather vote with my party either way.
-
I decided this year to vote against the canidates that called me more often or harrassed me the most for my vote. So far Democrats loose.
-
No i like to learn more about the person
-
no, i don't always vote for the party i'm registered under.
infact, there was a runner in the primaries who i really liked
this year and in the last election. he was in the opposing
party, but he stood for a lot of things i agreed with.
-
Down here in the south they call that a Yellow Dog Democrat cause even if the party ran a dirty yellow dog folks would vote for the dirty yellow dog.
-
I do not vote by strict party line ... I try to stay informed and chose who I think is the best candidate
-
No...I vote for the person that is the best candidate. It doesn't matter what their party affiliation is, its who can help our country the most!
-
As soon as I could vote, I registered as an independent. I've never been affiliated with either party and don't understand at all why people register with either side.
Mitt Romney's 47% comments are actually representative of how ALL democratic/republican politicians think: "I know who will and won't vote for me based on the letter they've branded themselves with so I'll court those that haven't done so". They're basically saying that you've chosen a side so, who cares about you? You're not budging either way so why concern myself with you?
So I'm begging anyone reading this to please please please change from whatever party you're with to independent. This does NOT prevent you from voting for whomever you want. If you still want to vote down a particular party line, fine, just stop making THEM comfortable by knowing that fact before hand.
It's minor change but I really think that's where we should start because government needs an overhaul but those currently in charge of the system (Dems/Reps) are not going to change anything that they currently benefit from. WE have to change. So I'm begging you and asking you to beg anyone that'll listen to you to make this minor change.

I vote with my party, not because I am loyal to party lines, but because I share the beliefs of most of the party's platform. If another party began to hold values and beliefs that mimicked my own, then I would have no problem switching.
-
I try to be an informed voter but when in doubt, I vote party on an individual basis. I never vote a straight party ticket.
-
I, too, research each candidate to find out as much about them, their background, and their platform to decide whether or not to vote for them - regardless of party. I've found I end up voting a wide variety - Dems, Repubs, and other various 3rd parties. Even if I voted for someone who was elected one year, I re-analyze the job they did over their term if they run for re-election to decide if I still want to vote for them or whomever they run against in the next election.
-
Im unaffiliated with any party so I tend to vote for the right person who I think will focus on issues that may concern me. At the moment one major issue I have is Women rights. I think its our choice and please dont try to infer on our choices.

That's pretty much how I feel.I tend to vote for my party's candidate most often in the National elections. The more local contests can be decided differently, sometimes.
-
What choice do we have anymore, they say it is free country, but our leaders are chosen by cooperations.
-
I am registered as independent so :D I can vote for whoever I want. And not by party line.
-
I make it my business to know each party and listen to what they have3 to say...However I am and will always vote Democrat over Republican
-
I don't vote for any specific party. In each election I determine which candidate I like and that is who I vote for. I can understand people liking one party more than the other in general, but I think it is absurd to vote one way in each election.
