Title: Back From Texas
Post by: tuscarorarain on October 24, 2012, 06:36:43 am
Just got back from Texas around 10 p.m last night. Was a thirteen hour drive, and it seemed like Texas took up ten hours of that. My husband's mom got married out there, where she lives. They had a red kneck themned wedding that was pretty funny. Not all weddings are totally done with a serious attitude. It was special because it represented them. Sara's dad had a shoot gun and everything lol. We might be moving there for jobs. We both have one lined up there. Going to see what happens first though.

I saw one on the way there. Well I think I did. He was in this big truck with team jersey hyanging up in the back. Maybe I was just thrilled to finally be going there.

How fun.  Good luck with whatever you decide about jobs etc.  And I know what you mean about the drive through Texas.  We did a "road trip" once circled up out of KY to St Louis to Oklahoma and back to Texas and then back through Tennessee and back to KY.  The whole trip seemed easy and short even with all that driving, but it sure did get long from Fort Worth to Memphis seemed like forever!! LOL

Being from Texas it takes eight hours to drive across Texas from East to West and longer from North to South. Except when you are driving straight across the panhandle.Texas also have two time zones.  :peace:

Oh, how kewl. I am from Sacramento, Kentucky and used to live in Owensboro, Kentucky. What part are you from? I love Nashville, Tennessee especially the mall. The rain forest caffee is like my faverite thing there.

;D That sounded like a fun time - the red neck themed wedding - I have never been to Texas but kind of always wanted to go - But I'm not much of a traveler - just pretty much stick right here in Florida lol.  Well, glad u and yours got home safe and sound and had a good time.

Sorry so long to respond . . . crazy times.  I was just looking back while I had some time and was wondering if you were still thinking about texas and got a job there!  I grew up in central Kentucky - satellite communities of Lexington.  Now between KY, TN and SC with work.  I have never heard of sacremento, KY -- always amazing to hear of something in your home state you aren't familiar with  . . . LOL  Always loved the Owensboro area -- isn't there a hotel there that does shows . . .  my memory is a little rusty.
