I get so frustrated while driving and it is so dangerous I just don't understand why people don't use the. Don't people understand that the turn signal is not for their benefit it's for the people driving around them. Of course you know what you are doing or where you are going but we don't. It is worse when people switch lanes in front of people out of nowhere especially on the freeway. What happens when you cause an accident will you get mad at the other driver when it was your fault. Just curious if your someone who does that what's your logic behind it. It's just a slight move of your hand to be respectful and mindful to the other drivers around you.

Sometimes, people are not paying attention to what they should be doing while driving. They are usually distracted by something else, either in their minds or something else going on around them, while they are driving.

I'm not sure why they don't, just cause everybody's different! Would be nicer if they did use them. They have them built for the purpose of safty of themself's and other's. :dontknow:

Laziness, willful ignorance....I could go on, but I just think it is pretty much impossible to describe why people do stupid things and I think this falls into that category.

My guess is the same reason some people leave them on for miles, blink, blink, blink and no turns.

It makes me crazy when people don't use their turn signals. I feel like it is just irresponsible. It also makes me nervous when people drive with them on and never turn. Makes me wonder how they don't notice that sound for 10 miles.

Here in Missouri, it's the law. You have to use your turn signals, you can't stay in the passing lane unless you're passing and you have to wear your seat belt. But there are still people who ignore those laws just like they do the speed limit.

Dont feel bad I am coming down the road and this idiot pulled out in front of me he didnt stop at his stop sign. If I hadnt been paying attention I would have totalled the truck. If there would have been a car at the stop sign I would have went ahead and hit him. The roads were soaked do to all the rain. My brakes locked.

I really can't stand it when they wait until they get to the intersection before they start signaling....I understand sometimes they might not know where their going to they aren't paying attention...still annoying.

I ask that same question all the time, but I guess they will give a license to anyone these days. :)

Yes they cause all kinds of accidents and they deserved to get a upper cut to the face.

They just seem to have their heads up their you know what. Same goes for those who run yellow lights and the worst are those that run red lights and stop signs . Of course they are for those us who do stop. the rest don't seem to care.

Some may not because they may have forgotten in a rush to get over and move on. Some may not because they feel if they do the person will speed up and not let them over. There could be many different reasons. :dontknow:

Yeah I hate when they don't signal too. It makes it safer for those around you to know what you're doing!! Though sometimes, it might just be because they are in a rush to get somewhere and can't bother with signaling, but then again, I still signal when I'm in a rush only because it's like a muscle reflex after doing it so much.

Not using a turn signal is what irritates me most about other drivers. Usually if I honk the horn at someone for not using them-I get flipped off. Go figure.

I don't understand why people don't use their turn signal as well. I just know that I use them myself and for the safety of others.

It's a good thing to practice defensive driving always. Here in South Florida, it's a survival tactic.

I get frustrated to by this but my car has electrical problems and sometimes the signal does not work so i start to slow down early or i put on my hazards but this is about 10% of the time. I have gotten the blinker fixed a lot of times but still stops working so i am just writing this to say this can be a reason i dont think it is the reason most of the time though

This is a pet peeve of mine, and I also often wonder if they are optional equipment on some cars these days.

Mainly because they are morons. I encounter that same thing myself living in the city. It is dangerous.

this is a great question people get mad when you about hit them but they never signaled the turn so you know where they are going. The roads would be alot safer if everyone used there turn signals as that is what they are there for.

They don't use it because they are idiots. They put themselves and others at Risk for an accident :(

Because they either think that they are above the laws, or they just see it as a waste of time. Of course, when they crash and splatter someone's innocent brains on the highway, then it becomes most important! Go figure!

They are lazy. Until they get into an accident, then they'll learn their lesson.

Sometimes I think it is laziness or carelessness, but I wonder if it may be that a lot of people think the "rules" don't apply to them... just guessing.

i dont drive but it does concern me when i'm attempting to cross the street and trying my best to not get hit by a car. most of the times cars do use their turn signals but then some people are just really lazy.

I get so frustrated as well when people don't use their signals and cut me off! :BangHead:. It bothers me how people like that are driving in the streets. Most of them have gotten their driver's license so why can't they drive like they did to receive it? They are hazards to the road. It is pretty annoying to see them not being courteous.

I sometimes forget to turn mine on because I starting talking to my passenger or have something on my mind and I also forget to turn blinker off sometimes too. I think apart of it is when you start getting older your mind goes.

I don't know, but it drives me CRAZY. I know my dad doesn't always use his, and then he gets mad if people don't let him over.

I am not a driver but I understand you very well. I am soon to become a driver so I am watching every thing that drivers do because I am learning the laws of the road. I have noticed something else, they do not use their horns either and they do not give the right of way to pedestrians when they turn on green. I can't even imagine how frustrated you must feel as a driver. I have decided that there is no way I will drive without drivers education and defensive drivers education no way!

That is my biggest peeve, not only is it dangerous but very annoying.

People don't do stuff because they're usually selfish noobs who only care about themselves. I had a guy who was tailgating me once and I turned in my apartment complex, he didn't see and slammed on the breaks. The guy behind him was tailgating him and smashed into the guy tailgating me. Then, the guy tailgating me tried to say it was my fault when he explained it to the cops. haha. Course he lost that arguement, and he had a big fat broken nose from smashing his face into the wheel. Probably still tailgating people to this day. I'm sure he didn't learn his lesson.

Some people think that if you are in a turning lane you don't need to turn on your signal light. Even with that being said those arrows on the road goes two ways, straight and to the left or right. So for those that think they don't need to use the turn signals need not complain when they get hit.

I don't know how many times I've said; "I love your blinker". That and people riding on my rear end. I'm tempted to put on my brakes sometimes.

I ask myself that question pretty much every time I am on the road and few times I almost had an accident due to those people!! :(

i agree that is it frustrating especially if you are trying to make a left hand turn at a busy intersection and dont know if the oncoming traffic is turning or going straight.

Because they expect you to KNOW that they are going to turn and really don't care if they hold up traffic. People are inconsiderate and rude. Don't you just love those who put their turning directional on at the light and there is no turning lane-so you are held up and possibly missed going thru and have to weight for the next light.

If I'm the only car on the road then I don't use my signals. If there's not another vehicle near me, then I don't use my signals. Otherwise, I do use them. I mostly drive when it's dark and the roads are usually fairly empty, so I don't use my signals very often.
