With all the new technology, bootlegging, over priced theatres do you still like t make that trip. I still like the atmosphere of seeing a movie in a theatre. We often go to the dollar shows though unless it's something we really want to see.

No, first they cost too much and don't want anything to eat (popcorn, drink) they charge you an arm and a leg. I much rather rent a movie and pop my own popcorn.

i love to see movies in a theater, but here it is $13, and the snacks are getting higher and higher. the last time my boyfriend and i went we spent $50 and thats not including the gas to get there, so we only go once every couple of months and we're picky about what we see.

Yes I still enjoy going to the theatre to see movies.
We go as our "date night".
After 36 years of marriage, we still enjoy our "date nights" even if it does cost us to go out

I like going to the movies occasionally. I tend to go for movies with a lot of special effects as they have better impact for me on a big screen. It's also a good activity for my friends when we get together every couple months.
I tend to go to matinees, though - first because they are cheaper, and second, they tend to be less crowded so I can sit where I like sitting in theaters (2/3rds up for the best sound ;D )

I still love going to the movies, but consider it an outing. Fortunately, we have a dollar theater where I live but when there's a movie I just can't wait to see I normally let a guy take me on a date- tickets too high for me! And let's not get started on the price of the food- $4 for a hot dog? I don't think so.

Not to mention most movies these days really aren't that good. The high ticket price just rubs salt in the wound.

Even with all the great new technology which, by the way I love. The screen in the movie is still the biggest and the sound system is still the very best. I love it! I'm still going to the movies. :) :) :)

I do its just so expensive these days i only go once a month about now

i dont go to the movies anymore, i cant sit there long enough to watch the movie so would just be a waste and i sure dont want to have to stand at the back to watch it. so i just wait until it comes on tv or dvd, besides for the price of going to see it you can own it now.

We only go once or twice a year as a family. The kids a little more often. Way too expensive to go regularly.

I still see movies with my family a number of times throughout the year, but we primarily go during matinee or if there is a particular deal out there. Most movies we can wait, but there are some we do itch to see right away.

We don't go anymorem it just cost too much and i hate it when people are talking all around me and the kids are acting up When we spend good money to go see one you want to at lest enjoy it. Boy i miss the drive in movies. Yep showing my age. But it was great.

I don't go to the movies like I used but every once in a while I will go. I like the atmosphere of the theater and the smell and eating of popcorn.

Yes its a feeling you get when you watch movies with others and a big ole screen. Plus the popcorn is so delicious. Me and my son also have went to the drive in they have where I live. Go figure huhn a drive in. He really enjoys it and plus its way cheaper than the walk ins. You can bring your own food and drinks but like I said movie popcorn is the delight.

>:( No I hate going to the theatre. I guess its just my luck but the last two times there were jerks in the theatre who had no interest what-so-ever in watching the movie, talked and laughed the whole time. The last time my hubby and I got up and went out and demanded the manager give our money back because he said how about if I give you free tickets for next time and I said thanks but no thanks and don't really have the money (the closest dollar movies to us are the town over so even if they cheap you have to drive too far to get there) :BangHead:

Yes, I love going to the movies at least once a month to treat myself or just to hangout with a friend.

I love going to theatres to see movies....and love their popcorn...but have not gone in a long long time...too expensive...can't afford it

No.. I like to watch movies in the comfort at home with the surround sound or my laptop.

I still like to go to movies in the theater especially if it is an action film. The sound performance and the large screen cannot be matched on a home tv screen, unless perhaps you have a really large tv screen. Plus, it is just nice to get out. However, the snacks are just not worth the price. I have seen small popcorn going for $6.00 a bag and the bag is really small. I mean just for popcorn and a drink will cost you over $10.00. I think that is absurd.

No I don't like seeing movies in a theater anymore I wait tell it comes on tv or video store.
